You don't suppose they should take into consideration the fact that some of us may be more... knowledgeable than others, do you? While we don't need some classes, I'm sure there are plenty of others who most definitely need the same classes we do not. Perhaps I should have mother bring it up with the administration.

I suppose for us it is, but what else are we to do, really? I rather enjoy my studies.

It's simple, you don't!

You do have a point there, love. How can I argue with such a clever tongue.

Don't be silly, Andromeda, I've been "well educated" since my third year. It is all excess at this point, is it not?

I suppose they’d just like for us to be well educated, is all.

I suggest not saying such rude things to my face, Edward. It really hurts my feelings, you know!
Tumblr media
Is it not? I am quick to say that I am a Pureblood, so my peers are well aware of whom they are involving themselves with. If skill is a prerequisite, well, all the more reason for blood status to come into play! It is, in fact, true that those with magical bloodlines are far more skilled. It is in our blood, after all. Not that I would expect someone like you to understand that. I would get you started on the banned books, but I am really not interested in arguing with anyone this evening. Don't you suppose you should, perhaps, keep your opinions to yourself if you are going to get so upset with someone opposing you?
Oh, great, the infamous snob of Slytherin come to torture us all with her presence.

That’s not even comparable- a muggleborn working in the ministry isn’t posing as anything, they’re just doing their job. The only requirement of being a ministry worker is magic, and they have just as much ability to do that as any other employee does, so blood shouldn’t come into it at all. This law is just about bigots trying to strengthen the imaginary boundaries between people of different blood status, and it’s absolutely monstrous, but I don’t expect someone like you to understand that- and don’t even get me started on the banned books.

Well then, tell me what is so intriguing about a strengthening solution? It takes far too long for something with rather, well, disappointing results.
Tumblr media
Oh, I think its at least intriguing, if not useful.

Why potions is a required subject for fifth years I will never understand. There is nothing I don't already know that I will need for my future.

I, for one, think it is a brilliant law. You would not want to work with a dog posing as a human, would you? Likewise, I would not want to work with a Muggle-born posing as a Pureblood. I'd much prefer knowing who my co-workers are.
Tumblr media
This has got to be a joke. First they ban books in an obvious attempt to stifle the integration of muggle and wizarding culture, and now this thinly veiled law to increase prejudice in the workplace?
