im riding the high of coming out to people today and i'm feeling productive, so, obviously, i have to try and write kittyplay eddie!! i'm completely rewriting it to make it full of life and more put-together and i'm enjoying myself.. i'm debating making the title lyrics from buttons by the pussycat dolls.. not too sure but the pun is literally right there

So obviously, when Eddie sees Buck from his peripheral vision, he has to turn to him, and —

The moisture in Eddie’s mouth evaporates instantly, leaving him clutching the hose in his hands like a bumbling idiot. Jesus Fucking Christ, he must be dead; this is heaven. He’s not even religious, catholicism just being something he grew up with, but this is obviously him ascending to heaven, because the sight in front of him has him feeling like overcooked spaghetti noodles. This is so unprofessional.

Buck’s helmet is skewed on his head and his face is covered in soot as he walks out of the burning building, holding something delicately in his arms. He’s slick with sweat, the red and orange from the sun setting and the licking flames highlighting the wetness of his skin, making Eddie feel nauseous. He’s so focused on Buck’s face that when his gaze moves down, he’s even more thrown aback. There in his arms is a tiny little kitten, all black, probably from a mix of the soot and ash from the burning building around it. Buck’s holding the little thing with so much care, lending it the security of his arms, and he’s heading out towards the ambulance where Hen waves him over.

Eddie feels, embarasssingly, jealous. This is entirely unprofessional, and wrong, but for some reason he’s jealous that a little kitten gets to be held so comfortingly in his boyfriend’s arms. This is so unfair.
