opening twitter and seeing:
- the director tweeting that freen and becky kept going after he yelled cut
- becky saying that they didn't get any directions for the love scene and they were just told to do what they wanted and that they got it in one take
- the director saying that he didn't tell freen to use tongue and her being all shy about it
- becky revealing the "i love you" and "teerak (darling, babe)" were adlib
- freen and becky working in another project that's "challenging" for the both of them
- the stylist replying with "oops" to a tweet that said that the kisses seemed very natural and it was as if they put a real couple in the series
- becky saying that she got home from eating with irin and her family was sitting there ready to watch gap and she had to sit there covering her face with a blanket
- someone asking what her family thought and becky saying "they know it was acting but they were like 'hmmmm'"

in joo is a strong and relatable character in the show
Oh In-joo, while naive in the context of the story we are being told, is not an idiot. In the first few episodes In-joo is established as someone who is resourceful, competent at her job, and a good sister. She always makes sure there’s a roof over her family’s head, food in their bellies, and tries to make sure that they’re (mainly In-hye) safe and happy. In-joo is really good at being poor. Which is why I don’t understand all of the comments I keep seeing calling In-joo an idiot or complaining that she’s too stupid so the show is “un-feminist” (whatever that means [does that mean women aren’t allowed to be a little dumb sometimes? Seems pretty un-feminist for women to be put into a box like that
]). Like, why the fuck would someone who has been dirt poor all their life suddenly be amazing in the world of money, murder, and politics? The first thing In-joo did with 2 billion won was buy name brand ice cream. That’s how poor she’s been throughout her life, corner store ice cream was her big first splurge (and it was on sale!). Some of her scenes have been played to add a bit of levity to such a dramatic show, the “hands up” scene is one of my favourites, but again, those scenes are of her experiencing situations that she’s never had cause to even wonder about before. I’ve certainly never thought about the bounds of plastic surgery, and if faced with a gun, I fully believe I would wet myself. But In-joo, someone who is earnest and takes things at face value, is somehow managing to survive in this world of lies and backstabbing she’s been thrown into. Some of it is dumb luck, some of it is Do-il saving her neck, but some of it is her. And I don’t just mean her badass moment in Singapore. Her resilience, her earnestness, her optimism and kindness. Every choice she’s made has contributed to the fall of the Jeongran Society. Her additions to their rag-tag team go largely unnoticed since she’s not unearthing the story behind it all like In-kyung, or a former inside man like Do-il, but In-joo is the one who has the mastermind behind all of this shaken. And it’s not just because this all started with Sang-a’s obsession with In-joo. Sang-a thought she knew In-joo, but like a lot of viewers, she didn’t know who In-joo would become. She thought In-joo would do anything for money, but instead In-joo would do anything for her family and her best friend, even after learning that their friendship was a lie. She didn’t know that behind her naivete In-joo was strong; stronger than her. Sang-a may be more confident, conniving, and quick-witted, but she can’t handle things not going her way. In-joo on the other hand, has never had anything go her way and as a result is more adaptable and quicker to bounce back.
This entire show is about classism and the ways that it divides us, schooling and intelligence is one of them. Without Hyo-rin’s family In-hye wouldn’t have had the opportunities they gave her. Without their great aunt, In-kyung wouldn’t have gone to university. But In-joo didn’t have anyone to give her a helping hand. People who are looking down on her character for being an “idiot” are only proving one of the points the drama is trying to make. If you’re poor, you’re considered unintelligent, if you’re considered unintelligent then people can treat you like garbage and get away with it. But Oh In-joo is done letting people get away with it.

Park Jae Sang in Little Women is exactly this😭
I love villains that are the reverse of the idea that the absence of love makes you evil. Villains that love to the point of paranoia and obsession. Villains whose love for someone corrupts them. Love being used for awful, evil things. Using love to justify horrific actions. Anything that breaks down the toxic idea that people who don’t feel love are monsters and those who feel love are always pure and heroic and morally right.

Im so happy hyorin and inhye escaped đŸ„ș go on you love birds
The genuity of their friendship in the end was such a great touch
Also theyre definitely in love
I kind of wish there was some kind of montage of them being in love and travelling because it must be a magical time as a teenager with a shit ton of money no adult supervision and the person you can stand the most in this world to go on this adventure together! must be insanely emotional and i want to see them being happy!!!

If Tae Sumi's and Young Woo's dad's roles were reversed, people would be acting a lot differently imo 👀.
You shouldn't give someone a free pass on certain things just coz they're a woman if you wouldn't stand it if a man did the same thing.
We can all maybe understand where Minwoo and Tae Sumi might be coming from and might even sympathise with them but can some of their actions which are clearly wrong be justified? I feel no. Understanding someone or where they are coming from and justifying their actions are two very different things for me personally.
Maybe we can give some excuses for how Tae Sumi acted while she was young coz I can tell her family was definitely you know strict plus Young Woo's dad made a deal with her and she was in a difficult position as a young woman but now? When she has a whole established career and is old enough as an adult? Like she knows Young Woo is ofc hurt by her abandoning her and then what does she go ahead and do? Abandon her again, refuse to acknowledge her as a daughter even now, after all these years and acting selfishly, maybe cowardly and in pressure from the society but selfishly nonetheless. Plus all the "provide Young Woo with a doctor" didn't sit very right with me coz it felt like she doesn't understand Young Woo and her autism at all.
Like I don't get people dating someone when they have no intention to commit or plan to introduce their partner to their family and couldn't stand up for their partner, (regardless of whether they planned a longterm future with them or not).
Like imagine if the roles were reversed, if Young Woo's father had left her mom saying that he can't stand up to his rich family coz she's a farmer's daughter and to never show up again? And trying to send his daughter away coz he wants to succeed in his career when he's clearly not qualified to be a minister of justice coz he can't even be just with his daughter and is too much of a coward to acknowledge her as his daughter? All while now coming and acting all arrogant to her single mom who raised her alone and insinuating that she didn't do a good enough job raising her.

Throughout the 64 chapters of Spy x Family we slowly see the evolution of Twilight into Loid Forger.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Operation Strix was first conceived and assigned to Twilight. He had to get married and become a Father in 7 days in order to infiltrate an Academy that a dangerous politician goes to in order to prevent a Cold War from going hot. Right here he is Twilight an Agent of WISE due to his annoyed reaction of WISE wanting him to start a family ASAP. But regardless he will approach this mission like all the others he’s done.
With cold ruthless efficiency.
Tumblr media
But after adopting Anya
Tumblr media
and marrying THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE Yor. We slowly start to see the Loid Forger persona take over Twilight.
Tumblr media
From renting a castle and becoming “Loidman” to “rescue” his daughter as part of his celebration for Anya getting into Eden Academy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To stressing out about his wife being unhappy and immediately taking Yor on a date (with 100 different plans to go on said date.) as his way to thank her for all the hard work she does.
Tumblr media
Getting a giant plushie toy for Anya despite being overworked and tired from all the other missions.
Tumblr media
Reminding Fiona/Nightfall that he is a married man.
Tumblr media
And carrying his sleeping family after spending the whole day with them.
It’s pretty clear Loid Forger has taken over Twilight and the lines between real and fake blur for Loid just as it does for Yor, but that’s okay. Throughout his life it was just himself and no one else. But I think deep down Operation Strix was the best thing that could have ever happened to him. Yes he still needs to prevent a Cold War from breaking out, but he found a family in the process.

first kill poster came out and it’s stunning!
I saw!
Tumblr media
Very exciting!
And another anon:
first kill photos came out today!!
They did! I have to say, I didn't expect the vampire to look so...hapless, lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I'm surprised they spoiled this, unless it's at the start, before they find out who the other is? Or not, I suppose there's no need to worry about spoiling the literal premise.
And another anon:
Hi! You probably already know this but we did get some info about First kill. Netflix released a poster a few hours ago and it says that the first season premieres June 10. Also, I found out about the series through your blog so thank you ;) I would really like to read the short story the series is based on. Do you know where I can find it online? Thanks again for the recommendation and have a nice day :)
Heh, it had come to my knowledge. :P And I'm glad you're excited about it!
It's part of the Vampires Never Get Old anthology. If you can't find a library to check it out from, maybe try here?

On the ships in Your Throne though, let’s be real :
Everyone is in love with Medea, we know that, BUT
- Eros is an asshole and is gonna die
- Helio’s love for Medea is toxic. Here, I said it. His feelings themselves aren’t really a problem, but the way he reacts to them is absolutely toxic, both for him as a person and his relationship with Medea. He never questions her, even on personal matters like the bite mark on her wrist, he’d do absolutely anything for her, once again no questions asked, he’s devoting herself fully to her and nothing else, he doesn’t even seem to have any thought in his head beside “I want to be useful to Lady Medea”, which means he basically isn’t even his own person and only exists through her
It’s no wonder Medea isn’t in love with him : she’s said so already, even thinking this might make her similar to Eros because she pretends not to know what kind of love Helio has for her just to keep the status quo and not lose one of her closest friends and most useful and loyal allies. Medea is a strong and determined person who is constantly trying to better herself and achieve a higher position because she wants to be recognised for her feats and talents, to leave a trace in history ; I cannot fathom how such a character could fall in love with a shadow, a puppet at best who barely has a will and personality of his own and who doesn’t even believe himself to deserve to stand at her side.
- Perion
isn’t actually in love with Medea. He’s curious, he’s watching her closely, but he’s always been very clear about his feelings : he is disgusted by the sins Medea has already committed and only works with her because he wants to see the changes she will bring to the Empire.
- Bertie is adorable, kind, caring, and a lot smarter and more observant than anyone else in the cast, aside from Medea, Dekis, Eros and Helio. I wouldn’t be surprised if, when Medea rises to power, Bertie became one of her closest allies. Plus, Medea has already gone berserk over Bertie getting injured for her sake. I think a relationship between them would be adorable, but ultimately very unlikely because of their differences in standing, life experiences, goals, etc.
- Psyche, finally, is one of the very few people who considers herself an equal to Medea (and rightly so !) and the only one among those few who is both in love with her (contrary to Perion) and whom Medea loves as well (contrary to Eros). Their lives have been very different, yet a lot of parallels can be drawn, and their ability to switch bodies has granted them a glimpse of the other’s life no one else could ever get, allowing them to understand each other very well despite only knowing each other for a couple of years and being close friends for just a few months. She has questioned Medea many times over her intentions, actions and morals, and in the recent chapters Medea has started to change because, as she told Psyche before, Psyche is the kind of person “who makes people want to be like her”, meaning that Medea’s change in behaviour and new tendency to put her plans into jeopardy to protect someone, even if it doesn’t benefit her, is something she likes about Psyche and wants to reproduce, even if she doesn’t fully understand it yet. Psyche herself has changed a lot since switching bodies with Medea, not only learning to read between the lines in the nobles’ conversations but also to understand someone’s intentions and plans and finding ways to counter them, thus becoming more like Medea herself. In other words, those two keep challenging each other and try to become better versions of themselves by emulating the other’s qualities, which is exactly what I believe is missing from Medea’s relationship with Helio.
I’ve seen a few comparisons between Your Throne and Beware the Villainess regarding the wlw ships, but there is a key difference : the final ship in Beware the Villainess, Melissa and Nine, has always been more balanced than the “main hetero relationship” in Your Throne, between Medea and Helio, because while Nine always admired Melissa, he was never as dependent on her as Helio is, meaning their relationship was a lot more healthy from the start and, as it developped, Nine did his best to become someone who could be an equal to Melissa in order to support her to the best of his abilities, while Helio wants to be strong enough to protect her, but hasn’t had any character development going beyond that so far (while Medea and Psyche have had a lot of character development themselves, making me think Helio isn’t gonna get significant development).
With all of this information, I have a couple of expectations for the end of the series in the romance department :
- since Psyche has been trapped by her love for Eros for a good part of the series so far and has never had a chance to be herself, I expect her to pull a Yuri from Beware the Villainess and focus on developing into her own person at the end of the series, when she has the space and freedom to do so. Considering the latest free chapters, I imagine her using her blessing to help at a hospital, maybe running an orphanage, something to make people happy as it is what makes her happiest, from what we’ve seen.
- Helio, if he gets any semblance of character development, and I expect him to, but not a lot, will get just enough to understand he’s been relying too much on Medea and will distance himself from her once the conflict is over. He’ll probably go on a journey, maybe a pilgrimage, to find himself and repent for what he did during the war.
- Medea will remain single at the end of the series. Maybe it will be hinted that she will marry a few years down the line, but not right away. She is healing from trauma, just like Helio and Psyche are, so she will need to find herself and grow into the person she wants to be before she can be in any healthy romantic relationship, regardless of the feelings of love she might hold for one of the aforementioned characters.
If a ship is hinted at for Medea, a few years down the line, I don’t expect her partner to be Psyche, but thematically speaking and character-wise, it would be the ship that would make the most sense and would feel most appropriate considering the characters’ standing at this point in the story. If Helio went through a whole arc of character development, things might be different, but I don’t think he will by the end of the series. Also, Othilei’s queen has made quite a few references to being attracted to Medea, and Medea has acknowledged them, unlike what we could see in some similar stories like Beware the Villainess, meaning it is canonly considered a possibility for two women to be attracted to each other and one half of the ship at least is aware of that. Adding the fact that Dion has also shown that love between two mean exists and is acknowledged in this world (Dekis didn’t even say he wasn’t interested in men, only that he was married, and I choose to consider that means he is bi or pan. Medea is also bi because you can’t tell me that someone who wears gowns and suits so well isn’t bi) and it isn’t so unlikely anymore to see Medea and Psyche admit to being in love with each other, even if nothing comes of it right away. But, like I said, I don’t expect that to happen.

psydea headcannons cause of ch.103
╭psyche would buy dresses for medea to wear for important occasions and even though she wouldn't act very happy she still wears them ╰a lot of dates outside on picnics and psyche weaving flower crowns for medea
╭planning yialos's death together...im still waiting for this chapter...
╰psyche falling asleep on medea's shoulder one day. everyone thinks medea will be super annoyed and push her off but she just wraps an arm around her shoulder and pulls psyche closer
╭the two of them adopting a child. im not good with names but because most characters are named after characters in mythology, maybe iris or circe??
╰haven't read the manhwa in a while but maybe both of them shouting at psyche's parents for keeping her so isolated and using her (would it be considered as gaslighting??)
╭one of them hanging mistletoe around the house for a kiss while the other is blissfully ignorant
╰kissing away each others tears at night because lets admit it, your throne's plot is traumatising and scary on all of it's main characters

Psyche brings Medea flowers whenever she visits and Medea would keep them in her office
Her office is full of flowers and she refuses to keep them out of her sight
Would probably feel bad when they wither away so she takes extra care of them, even buying books on the subject

I found this special episode that SAM did a while ago. It's about how Psyche is at one of Medea's parties (this takes place before the events of Your Throne, they haven't done the body switch).
Psyche gets harassed and splashed with water by one of the guests. Medea intervenes by 'accidentally' spilling wine on the said guest, and proceeds to threaten her for being so ill-mannered. However, Psyche stops her from going any further.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that Medea still defends Psyche even though Psyche's now the crown princess 😍😊
Here's the link to the fan translation: https://manhuascan.com/read-i-want-to-be-you-just-for-a-day-chapter-31.5.html
Random Guest: she must hate psyche!
Medea: *proceeds to threaten and embarrass her to defend psyche*

You know what I took notice of in this ad? Medea's pink shirt. Pink isn't really a color Medea tends to wear, she prefers darker colors or red dresses but you know whose favorite color is pink and often wears it?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Conclusion: Medea is wearing Psyche's shirt :)
Not to mention it seems they are living together in the modern universe.
