Hi everyone, today I want to talk about the end of my junior fall semester and of course thanksgiving. I can not believe this semester is almost over. It鈥檚 hard to believe that I am only going to have 3 more semesters left in nursing school. This is the toughest semester I鈥檝e had yet and I am thankful that we have thanksgiving break approaching this week. I really feel that I need a break from school work and it will ease some of my stress by hanging with family and friends. I am looking forward to it!! I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone, I am going to talk about my day. Today I had one class. This class was not too bad. At the end of class we were able to do a review for exam 3 which is after thanksgiving. This review was very helpful. After class, I decided to study for my exams coming up this week. I have been really stressed out lately about these exams because I need to do well on them. So today after studying, I decided to do things that helped me relax and get my mind off of school for a little. Things that I do that I find helpful when I stress or have anxiety is going to gym, meditating, shopping and watching my favorite tv shows. The one I find most helpful is going to gym. I went to the gym tonight and this really helped me clear my mind and feel less stressed. I found that when I have a lot of school work and studying, I need to have a balance. What I mean by balance is having an outlet or doing something that takes my mind off of school. I really recommend this to anyone because it has really helped me cope with stress.

Hi everyone, I am going to give you a little insight on my experience as a technician at Cooper hospital in Camden, NJ. I am a pool tech at cooper hospital meaning that I do not have a set floor I work on. I work on floors that are short staff and I can also watch a patient individually. I work 12 hour night shifts. I have about 10-20 patients. I take vital signs, blood sugars, I record inputs and outputs, I help my nurses bathe my patients and also help with anything else they need. I worked last night and I was able to experience the emergency room. I really enjoyed the ER and saw so much! This overall job has been a really good experience for me because I have saw so much in this hospital and have learned so much. This hands on experience helps me relate to my classes because studying wise I am a very visual person and hands on. At first, I was very nervous about this job, but I鈥檓 really glad I stuck with it because it has made me feel comfortable being in a hospital setting. Lastly, I really recommend becoming a nurse associate or technician while your still in nursing school to gain experience under your belt. It really helps put information you learn in class to what you see in hospital together. It makes a lot more sense. I found this very helpful and I do not regret it.

Hi everyone, today I鈥檓 going to tell you about my week. This week was not too bad, but I am a little stressed out about my exams coming up. I have been studying for my med surg exam for next week and my Patho exam that is the following Tuesday before thanksgiving. I study by rewatching lecture videos and outlining the powerpoint notes. I find this really helpful. Wednesday was my last day for my pediatric clinical. I really enjoyed this clinical and had a really good experience. I am sad it is over, but I am also glad that I now have Wednesday off to get some school work and studying done. I have had a busy week of studying and am looking forward to my weekend to relax and to focus on my mental health.
