jihoon instantly choked on his spit when he heard your words, a hand at his pocket.
"why… why do you say that?" he finally managed to ask.
you were sat at your desk, surrounded by your paperwork and your laptop. your glasses were put wrongly on your nose and jihoon had to fight the urge to put them back correctly. it had been two weeks your classes had ended and you were studying like crazy over your lessons for your finals, making jihoon look at you with admiration -and a bit of fear.
"i was just reviewing my lesson of marriage contract and i just thought that marriage was the best option compared to live-in partnership or contract of civil union."
"wow, you make it sounds so romantic," jihoon teased with an arched eyebrow.
"i’m being serious, you moron! for real this is the best option, especially when one of us will die. and if you look at the protection set for the other member of the partnership, this is really no game. of course if you want this to be done correctly it’d mean we have to choose between the different marriage contracts to find the most suitable which mainly depends on the way of style of the married couple but… out of the three kind of partnership, this is the greatest one."
"you really thought deep about it. are you, by any chance implying something babe?" the young man asked with a smirk.
"no, of course, you abruptly answered with burning cheeks before correcting yourself, i mean, of course i do want to marry you. but i don’t want you to feel pressure because i mentioned it, it’s only because of my lesson that i actually started to consider about the consequences linked to such a big decision."
jihoon started to smile as you showed him all the tables you made and all the decisions and judgments you analysed today. you were talking about it so passionately that you didn’t even question why the fuck jihoon was getting on one knee. and you were so happy to show him the new functionalities of your laptop -which actually aren’t new at all but you sucked so much with technologies and you looked so happy that jihoon didn’t want to break it to you- that you didn’t even question why the fuck jihoon was getting a velvet box out of his pockets. but you definitely didn’t miss it when he told you:
"i think we should get married."
eyes wide opened and mouth ajar, you stared at your boyfriend in disbelief. and, suddenly, when jihoon started to fear that you’d say no, you threw yourself in his arms, leaving small kisses all around his face.
"are you serious, jihoon? of course i do."
"good, now you can review again so we can designate the greatest marriage contract for us. it’d make a great practice, don’t you think?"
"and i am the anti romantic one? you scoffed, the only thing i’m going to review now is wedding dresses."
and as jihoon looked at you with pure adoration in the eyes, he knew that, whatever will happen in the future, you’d definitely find the best marriage contract.
don’t mind me this is just a silly lil fic bcs of i’m going crazy with my studies
