Dev kissed her back passionately, stroking her lush hair as he held her to him in a firm grip. “If I don’t, who will? By now Amirah could read her soulmate quite well, and so when Enzo covered up his concerns with a smile, she was left puzzled and a bit annoyed. The offer will always stand. If you’re happy being my guardian, then of course I’m glad.” Amirah wanted to keep him beside her, even though she had no reason to; he was not her partner anymore, yet she would never hold back here either. Enzo was an impeccable guardian, one who was thoroughly committed - it was why he was assigned to Amirah to begin with. Amirah didn’t know if she should have agreed to lunch with him, however, she wasn’t going to backtrack now. “No, but thank you for offering.” Yet, her traitorous heart still raced and a part of her wanted to smile at him, especially when he was smiling at her this way. 

“I don’t wish to pursue anything. This is my job and I would like to continue doing my job.” Enzo would only stop being her Guardian should she choose it, but he wasn’t going to walk away from it. Whether Amirah chose to believe it or not, he loved her and hopefully soon, she could find it in her heart to forgive him. Until then, he would just be patient and continue to placate her. For this afternoon, he would start with lunch. “Okay, but if you change your mind, let me know.” He smiled at her and continued walking towards her office. They arrive a short time later where he took his leave with a kind smile and promised to return later.

LUNCH TIME…

Although she stated that she didn’t want him to bring her anything, he still went out of his way to bring Amirah her favorite dessert. And upon arrival, he could see that their lunch was already waiting for them. “I know you said you didn’t want anything, but I brought you these, anyway.” He offered her the box containing her dessert before taking his seat. “Are you ready to eat?”

Kajal had never worried that Aamir might balk at the news. He’d already told her that he was ready whenever she was and if he truly didn’t want to have a baby now, he would’ve insisted she got on birth control. Thankfully, she was right. He looked surprised, and yet, happy. When he kissed her, she felt his love overflowing for her and their child. It made her heart melt. “It did. We’re ready now. I’m not stressed and I’ve gotten to the swing of things back home. Plus, your parents are opening up to me. It’s the perfect time to have a baby.” She smiled as he tenderly stroked her cheek, “Believe it, my love. In about eight months or less, we’re going to meet our baby.” His remark had her chuckling, making her sit up and straddle his lap. Leaning in, she swept his hair back and whispered against his lips, “I said I was hornier now, I never said I wasn’t always horny for you. I didn’t know my husband is so sensitive.” Then she kissed him. A kiss full of love and desire.
