#ok but as a DC resident I have to say #DC started heavily ticketing for jaywalking because they had such a high rate of pedestrian-auto accidents #this was back when I was in high school #and i was on a school bus once that hit a lady in a crosswalk #she was fine and she way jaywalking but it’s really the fault of the segway tour

sorry but i simply cannot take anyone seriously with this argument. being horny is not a crime. acting inappropriately toward another person is a different thing from simply perceiving them in a way that scratches your brain. but you cannot make sexual thought crimes (thot crimes) a thing without it leading down an EXTREMELY homophobic, transphobic path of "the WRONG type of person PERCEIVED ME and I DID NOT CONSENT TO IT." sometimes you will be perceived by people you personally are not attracted to, and i'm sorry, but that alone is not a problem. you do not need consent to find another person attractive. being horny is fine, actually. get over it.

I think at least 3 of the last 4 shows I’ve done have had this problem, but in my cases it’s always been changes from the TD’s side. Like, we’re changing the dimensions of the platforms so we can save money by using existing stock, but we didn’t bother telling stage management so you’ve spent DAYS playing tetris in the rehearsal room trying to get a drum kit to fit only to find out that the platform is actually significantly smaller than what was on the groundplan! Or, we’ve changed the placement of hanging scenery to make linesets work better and surprise it’s now several feet farther upstage than you thought it was going to be! Etc etc etc! I’m not bitter about this at all!

Set designers- if you change the groundplan after sending it to the entire staff, make sure you tell the director and stage manager. You don't want them to stage the entire show and then find out several pieces of furniture have been cut at the designer run through.

all goofing aside I genuinely don't understand the urge to reimagine Taylor Allison Swift as a secretly queer icon when the pop music scene(TM) is like. literally overflowing with women who actually like women. Gaga and Kesha and Miley and Halsey are right there. Rina Sawayama and Hayley Kiyoko and Rebecca Black and Kehlani and Victoria Monét and Miya Folick if you're willing to get slightly less top 100. Janelle and Demi for them nonbinary takes on liking girls. like what are we doing here. like I'm not even saying you can't enjoy Taylor but why would you hang all your little gay hopes on her.
