“Yeah. not getting killed does sound like a pretty solid plan. I’m not trying to kill you though I promise. I’d probably be pretty bad at it anyway,” she said with a small laugh. “That’s nice you’ve got your brother and…hang on did you say Katerina?” Tina sighed. “Well I haven’t met him but I’ve uh…I’ve definitely met her.”

Tina jumped despite herself as Katerina advanced on her. She immediately shrunk down, took a moment to calm herself, and then reappeared on the other side of the other girl, arms crossed and fearless expression back in place. "I really don't think your Headmistress would appreciate you killing her bloodline. As for which plague, I don't care, all of them. I'm not afraid of you. I'm used to bullies like you by now. So you can threaten me all you want but its not going to work."

Katerina let the veins under her eyes appear stronger and the skin more aged as the two little abnormally sharp teeth slipped out from her K-9’s. “Because, if I were to meet you before, the whole Lance family bloodline would be dead, Bettina.” She rolled her eyes at the other woman standing in front of her and asked sarcastically, “Which plauge?”

Tina laughed. “Well…yeah! I suppose you’re right! Never really thought of it that way actually! I can only grow up to my normal size though. Believe me, I’ve tried. I don’t exactly love being short, but this is about it.  It does come in handy occasionally though, especially when your mom is the most overprotective parent in the entire world. If it weren’t for my ability I don’t think I’d ever leave my room to be honest with you. I love her but sheesh, it’s like she thinks i’m going to break!”

Tina crossed her arms and looked at her skeptically. "Really? So if you've been around here so much why have I never met you before? I mean...I understand liking your alone time but I live here year round and I have for fifteen years. Let me guess, you don't like authority so you avoid the Headmistress like the plague?"

"And so have I, sweetheart. 139 years living in Russia with the Novikoff family and the Solovyov family. People chased all the vampires out when the Novikoffs left, my family and I came here." As the other spoke, Katerina stopped behind her and moved closer to her, basically on top of her neck, "I don't see anything wrong with being… nice. I'm just… indifferent to it."

Tina laughed. "Well...yeah! I suppose you're right! Never really thought of it that way actually! I can only grow up to my normal size though. Believe me, I've tried. Honestly it’s nothing as cool as any of those. I just…” She bit her lip. “Well I shrink.”

"Ah, should have figured," she said with a small laugh, "Mum and her office. Knowing her she's probably passed out on paperwork or something. Thank you." She blinked, slightly stunned at the older woman's praise. "I...really? You honestly think that? I sorta feel like she could've gotten a lot better sometimes."

Tina’s eyes widened briefly before she nodded slowly. “All right then. You must be one of the vampires. I’ve heard about you. Not in a bad way. Just…I tend to overhear things, especially teacher conversation. I’m only kind of a student in their eyes I suppose. Then again, most of them have known me since I was a baby so I suppose I can’t really blame them. And I’m from…well…here actually. I’ve never lived anywhere else. I’m pretty sure I was even born here. Like…at the school. Pretty weird, huh?”

"Um...no disrespect Ms. Solovyov, but I've lived here my entire life. There's not a lot that I'm confident in, but I am pretty sure I know this school better than anybody else. Layout wise at least." She firmly stood her ground as the other girl circled her. "If you think you're all set though that's fine. I just wanted to offer my help. It's something I do with all the students here. I'm just trying to be nice. Something wrong with that?"

Kat pursed her lips and looked at the girl, circling her with thin, intimidating cat eyes. “Tina, it is a pleasure to meet me. As to you.” She wet her lips with her tongue, “I think we can both tell I’m older than you and I know my way around a lot better than you.”

She woke me up at 5 am this morning singing Disney songs. I love the woman but she's a tiny bit crazy. Plus in all the excitement she forgot her tea. I thought I'd bring it to her. I don't suppose you know where she is?"

Bettina Marian Lance is the daughter of Penelope Lance, the school’s headmistress. She is naturally very shy and timid, and tries her hardest to blend in with the other students at the school. She is enrolled as a Princess in Training even though her mother is no longer technically a Queen, which often makes her feel like a bit of an outsider or a fake.

Tina’s ability allows her to shrink down to various sizes. She can become as small as an ant if she wants, though she seldom becomes quite this small because she’s afraid she’ll get stepped on. She does however, sometimes use it when she’s embarrassed or doesn’t want to deal with people.

She is often afraid that when she makes friends they only hang out with her because of her mother, hence her shy nature, but once you get to know her she is a giggly, sweet girl. She is very bright and earnestly tries in everything she does.
