Ebola-Infected Doctor's Fiancee Back in Their Home
Morgan Dixon, the fiancee of a New York doctor who tested positive for Ebola, was released from quarantine in a New York City hospital this afternoon, and returned to the apartment she shares with the doctor.
Dixon will be quarantined until the morning of Nov. 14 in the Harlem apartment she shares with Dr. Craig Spencer, who has been in an isolation unit at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan since Thursday, according to a statement from the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.
Dixon was also quarantined there, although she hasn't shown any symptoms of the virus.

Spencer now has gastrointestinal symptoms, which health officials said was "anticipated." He was described as awake and communicating.
"In addition to the required supportive therapy, we initiated antiviral therapy within hours of admission. We also administered plasma therapy yesterday. These therapies have been used at Emory and Nebraska," city health officials said in a statement today.
Dixon's family said they are confident in the medical care Spencer is receiving.
"The Dixon family is asking for your thoughts and prayers for Craig Spencer and his fiancee, our daughter, Morgan Dixon," read the statement.
Dixon will have a security detail outside her apartment at all hours and will be periodically visited by a member of the city health department, but she will be the only one staying at apartment, city officials said.
She has been given an iPad to communicate with family members and authorities, and will be provided free food during her time in quarantine, they said.
The Dixon family said they have not had physical contact with their daughter or Spencer, 33, since his return to New York from Guinea.
Two friends of Spencer were also under quarantine at home. Neither has shown symptoms of the virus.
Spencer became the fourth person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States after he was hospitalized Thursday. He developed a fever that morning and alerted authorities, who transported the doctor from his Harlem apartment in a specially designated ambulance.
"We have confidence in the medical care Craig is receiving and we are hoping for a complete recovery," the Dixon family said.
Health officials said he felt tired on Tuesday and then spent a day out in the city on Wednesday. Spencer returned to the U.S. on Oct. 17 after treating Ebola patients for Doctors Without Borders.
"We are very proud of and support the work Craig has been involved with throughout this career," the Dixon family said.

Police arrest ‘person of interest’ in Kelowna airport emergency
The airplane that was grounded after an apparent bomb threat at Kelowna International Airport on Saturday afternoon is now clear to fly, and police say they have arrested a “person of interest” in the case.
Police would not confirm that there was a bomb threat, but airport officials said earlier in the day that emergency responders were on standby while waiting for a bomb squad to arrive.
The airport received a call threatening a specific plane shortly after noon. The threat was to a plane that had arrived from Edmonton and was scheduled to depart for another destination.
The 98 passengers who had traveled from Edmonton were initially held on board the plane. Later, they were transferred by bus to the terminal for screening. The passengers and their luggage were searched, as was another plane, but police said they found nothing of interest.
Police said the passengers were never at risk. As of Saturday evening, charges for the person arrested had not been announced.
Whoever called in the threat had the wrong information about the flight, said airport spokeswoman Jenelle Haynes. It took airport staff some time to figure out what exactly had been threatened.

Police in gunfight with armed group near Tunis
Tunisian police were exchanging gunfire Thursday with armed "terrorists" who had taken refuge in a town a few kilometres from the capital Tunis, the Interior Ministry said.
"Security forces have surrounded a house in Oued Ellil harbouring terrorists and exchanges of gunfire are ongoing," spokesman Mohamed Ali Aroui told local radio, after security was beefed up ahead of Tunisia's parliamentary election on Sunday.
Some members of the security forces had been wounded in the gunfight, Aroui told AFP in a brief statement, refusing to provide further details.
Aroui told Mosaique FM radio that police had also clashed earlier Thursday with two "terrorists" in the city of Kebili about 500 kilometres (300 miles) south of Tunis.
The suspects were arrested after killing a private security guard in the gunfight, he said.
They had been "preparing operations in the area," Aroui said, adding that two Kalashnikov assault rifles were seized.
Tunisia has increased security ahead of Sunday's vote, seen as crucial to restoring stability in the North African nation, the cradle of the Arab Spring revolutionary movements.
Since the 2011 uprising that ousted veteran strongman Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, Tunisia has seen a proliferation of Islamists suppressed under the former autocratic president and the emergence of militant groups.
The jihadists have been blamed for a wave of attacks, including last year's assassination of two leftist politicians whose murders plunged the country into a protracted political crisis.

Singer Alvin Stardust dies aged 72
Singer Alvin Stardust has died aged 72 after a short illness.
He had recently been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer and died at home with his wife and family around him, his manager said.
Born Bernard Jewry in the East End of London in 1942, his hits included My Coo Ca Choo, Jealous Mind and I Feel Like Buddy Holly.
The former glam rock star had been due to release his first studio album in 30 years this autumn.
He recently announced the record, titled Alvin, was finished and would represent "a new and exciting departure" of which he was "immensely proud".
Once described as "the Godfather of British Rock 'n' Roll" by Rolling Stone Keith Richards, he made sporadic acting appearances in Hollyoaks, The Grimly's and Doctors.
He also appeared on stage in such musicals as Godspell, The Phantom of the Opera and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, in which he played the fearsome Child Catcher.
Before reinventing himself as Alvin Stardust in the 1970s, he recorded under the name Shane Fenton with his band the Fentones.
