Imagine a girl with a slicked back ponytail. She has baby pink acrylic nails and glossed lips. She has minimal gold jewelry on (two necklaces and some earrings). She has curled lashes and a cute tank top on.

Look at these two photos, which one matched the image in your head?

The problem with the "Clean Girl Aesthetic" is that is demonizes black girls for simply being themselves while simultaneously lifting up white girls for wearing similar things. It's suddenly considered "clean" even though black girls have been have been dressing this way for decades.
