Justin: This is my character Taako and he’s a fucking idiot
Griffin: Hmmmm no, actually, he’s an incredibly competent wizard who was top in his class at magic NASA, so jot that down
Justin: K, so in his backstory Taako accidentally killed 40 people through his carelessness-
Griffin: well, ACTUALLY, it turns out Taako was innocent all along! it was really his assistant who killed all those people because he was jealous of Taako, so, like, jot that down
Justin: Okay, well before that Taako spent his childhood alone on the road, and he’s kinda paranoid cause he’s never had anyone to watch his back-
Griffin: BUT ACTUALLY HE HAD A SIBLING THAT LOVES HIM MORE THAN ANYTHING AND HAS BEEN WATCHING OVER HIM THE WHOLE ADVENTURE AND DESPERATELY TRYING TO REACH OUT TO HIM SO J O T T H A T D O W N

see but america done been killing americans already. we already in a police state, we already have genocide and cult indoctrination and a 'soft draft'. we already have private merc groups and pinkertons and union wars (literal actual domestic terrorism over the migrant labor scabbing / migrant labor abuses and human trafficking).
it's hilariously arrogant to think america is over here just trying to vote to do anything but save lives; our electoral system is rigged and our political foundations run on legalized bribery (lobbying). our indigenous populations are still under siege and our nazis are still allowed to roam the streets unquestioned.
our female bodies are devalued and our elderly and disabled are price-squeezed out of mental health and medical services, displaced, homeless, actual fresh new dead people you will meet on your bus commute just helping the driver wake someone up from a frozen bench.
how many americans do you know? how many dead americans do THEY know? how many of us already exhausted ourselves over apartheid, and in our poverty and vulnerability to over-incarceration and daylight murder by cops, could spare another dollar for our fellow victims of colonialism an ocean away?
is 'america' the villain, or merely the merchant to villains? what has the rest of the world ever done to try and stop america from killing its own indigenous people
much less helping others kill the indigenous peoples unfortunate enough to live above an oil deposit.

I love Matilda because it's a story about a child who sees injustice around her and gets mad about it and questions why things aren't fair, and instead of the ending being that she learns how the world works and that life isn't fair, she catapults one of the adults who abused her out of a building with her mind

sardines on pizza are also very good, but you have to cook them with the sauce to soften the lil bones (the tomato acidity is cut by doing this, the bones litchurally dissolve).
immigrant cuisine is important!

hey, wanna know something cool?
a little over a century ago, the polar explorer Ernest Shackleton lost the ship Endurance when attempting to make a land crossing of the antarctic.
soon after, the ship would be crushed by the surrounding ice as it shifted, and it would sink about 10,000 feet to the sea floor.
BUT THEN
2 years ago, national geographic was able to locate the HMS endurance and found it in an incredibly well preserved state!
the leader of the expedition, Mensun Bound, said "This is by far the finest wooden shipwreck I have ever seen. It is upright, well proud of the seabed, intact, and in a brilliant state of preservation."
