During the rebuild of the hotel

*Alastor and Lucifer are, begrudgingly, working on rebuilding a room together.*

Alastor, heading towards the door: Alright, now I just have to go get the--.

*alastor runs into a wall. He pauses and looks at the wall. It has the drawing of a door, but it was not a door.*

*the realization sets in and his blood is boiling, but he smiles, folds his hands together, and slowly turns to Lucifer.*

Alastor, calmly yet tense: Lucifer?

Lucifer: What?

Alastor: Where's the doorway?

Lucifer, pointing to the drawing: It's right there. I drew it, see?

Alastor: You were supposed to cut it out with the power saw.

Lucifer, starting to get annoyed: Well, I'm gonna.

Alastor: Oh really?

Lucifer: Yes.

Alastor: So go get the power saw.

Lucifer: Okay, I will.

*Lucifer confidently walks to the wall and runs face first into it.*

*short pause*

Lucifer: *turns to Alastor* I see the problem.

Alastor, very angry: OH DO YOU?!

So, there's this really incredible appleradio fic, 'Bedtime Rituals To Try Out Before The Next Angelic War', that I've now read twice at least twice....it's living rent free in my head accompanied by lots and lots of amazing imagery! I had to draw this scene to express my love for the great Lucifer and Alastor interactions in it (and to try and do justice to the way the Hotel is actually kinda sentient here, and rocking a whole lotta personality!)

The author is @miribalis I believe (if you see this, I hope you like it and please know that your fic is one of my all-time favs at this point! It's one of my go-to comfort reads at this point and I've been collecting those for a couple decades, so that's saying something!)

Crab/Crawfish Boil! Coloring the food was a challenge of "what shade of Copic Marker is this?"

The last time I had a Crab Boil was in… middle school? My friend’s mom dumped the whole thing on a giant plastic sheet on the dining room table and it was DELICIOUS. Definitely made an impression, that's for sure!
