Unpopular opinion but I don't think that people's treatment of fictional characters is trivial

Yes, they're fictional and can't be hurt but it says a lot about a person who sexualises a character who canonically has sex related trauma

Making a video game character half naked and watching a scene where they say they don't wish to be viewed for their body just feels so tone deaf

Writing headcanons and fics of them being some dominant, borderline abusive, booktok sex gods when they themselves have said that they wish to be seen for who they really are; when they so obviously want genuine care and companionship

I know that for some reason, the presence of sex in media seems to be mandatory, but god does that feel cruel at times
