the fact that Stardew Valley is a $15 indie game that came out almost a decade ago with zero microtransactions and is still receiving free DLC updates to this day is absolutely bonkers. Thoughts on Alastor

I feel like most people are wrong abot Alastor

It's a common theory that he made a deal with Lilith to protect Charlie, but that doesn't seem to make much sense with what we know

Yes there's a tie there, but I don't think it's that direct.

It's been seven years. Why would he only reveal himself now if that was the deal? He saw this as entertainment at first, and now sees Charlie as a potential ally/tool to get ahead, because she is very powerful. And he might actually care about her too (Its hard to tell)

Either way, 'protecting' Charlie doesn't seem like it would be nearly as much of a Burdan as this deal clearly is.

Like he's being suffocated by whatever deal he made at the end, but Charlie's fine. And I don't think he nearly got killed because the deal forced him to protect Charlie like some people said; he nearly got killed because he's cocky and not used to fighting people actually that much stronger than him, and nearly dying shook him a bit.

And honestly, Lilith doesn't seem to care all that much about her family. We haven't seem much, but she fucked off to Heaven, and hasn't answered a single one of her daughters calls. It was only one scene, but we didn't see her depressed and hold up in a dark room like Lucifer; she was resting on a glamorous beach, so clearly the implication is that she's doing well

When Lilith left Charlie also didn't seem to need much protection. She wasn't talking to heaven, and she didn't seem to be doing much dangerous. She was a sheltered princess, which is why she's so naive to the start of the series.

So her making a deal with Alastor, who seemed to have no ties to the royal family at all, to protect Charlie, makes no sense

And one final thing.

Zestial said there was a rumor of Alastor falling into "Holy Arms" which is a very specific detail that is not the type of thing just thrown in for flavor. (For anyone else it would sound romantic, but Alastor is asexual as fuck so that's off the table)

Lilith, despite being in heaven for some unknown reason, is not a character that would be described as 'Holy.' she's not an angel, and never was; she was always a mortal. Lute also says she can be kicked out too, so she doesn't seem to be an ascended soul either, who can pretty much stay in Heaven no matter what.

So yes, I do think there are ties. However I don't think Alastor sold his soul directly to Lilith, and I don't think the deal was to protect Charlie
