So how do you feel about his new song and album that just dropped? You think he’s too canceled to come back?

I love the new song, I think it’s great. I also think that Brendon seems to have become more vulnerable in terms of his writing. It is already displayed in the lyrics and video of the new song.

Or he’s talking about a relationship he had that ended badly & a song that may have been shared between them that he can’t listen to anymore.

I think this is very symbolic in terms of what Excalibur is…King Arthur was the only one who could pull the sword from stone (ei B was the only one who carried on the Panic! Name) and he eventually ended up falling on that sword because everything fell on him.

Visually the music video has a lot of points that maybe I’ll make a post about at some point but I want this blog to be mainly for the cancellation information.

There are parts where he continuously gets hurt playing music and this is super symbolic. Music is something he loves to do but the adverse affect it ended up having on him kept bringing him down. He still got back up though, crawled back to the piano, picked up the guitar Etc.

So my answer is no I don’t think the cancellation will effect anything. I think that Brendon has already processed what happened to him over the last 17 years and he’s finally ready to talk about it all. This is that album.

To those of you who found your way here after being part of the astronomical hate storm that occurred in 2020 against Brendon and his close friends. I’m glad that you’ve taken the time to look at the evidence of what actually happened here, but I am a little irritated about those who are coming back after they gave Brendon absolutely no benefit of the doubt at all and trashed his name with everyone else. They didn’t even think he might be innocent of the claims against him, and nobody took Breezy’s extremely bizarre behavior into account in terms of the allegations against Zack, either.

To me this was all mob mentality, and if you ever get a chance to be a part of it again, try thinking for yourself instead. Hive mind is extremely dangerous.

All the cancellation attempt of Brendon really boiled down to was 'Brendon Urie poisoned our water supply, burned our crops and delivered a plague unto our houses!' 'HE DID?!?' 'No, but are we just gonna wait around until he does?!?'

I don’t know why but this made me laugh and cry.

I think a huge thing that people forget, regardless of everything, is you can separate the art from the artist. I believe Brendon urie is innocent with every fibre of my being and I love his music. But there’s other bands that I think have skeletons in their closets and I still want to listen to their music because they have good songs, ya know? Also I love your blog! ☺️

I think a lot of the people who don’t wanna “agree with what he’s done” usually use this to continue to listen to his music without guilt. However if you wanna separate the art from the artist there’s no saying you can’t. Thank you for the support ♥️

It seems like you've been a BIG Panic! fan since the start. Can I ask why your Insta and Twitter were both only made within the past year?

Hey! I didn’t make fan accounts until last year, up until now I would just watch as things happened online without being a part of the fandom. I decided this era I wanted to be more a part of all the fun! Since he’s been gone so long. I made my Twitter last year and my Instagram as well but my Instagram was taken down by accident so I had to remake it :)

I’m having a hard time discerning. I get that this is a huge thing and I appreciate that all the links are there for me to discern for myself whether or not he was rightfully canceled. I’ve been trying my best to keep up as it happened and I’m going to reread through everything here again.

It’s just all the online discourse I’ve seen about it has been very mob mentality. I don’t want to get harassed anymore for listening to panic! People have really been making it out to be on the same level as still listening to R. Kelly

Great work on compiling all of this, btw. While I was aware of a lot of it already, it was nice to have it all in one place and detailed well. I hope as many people read it as they can and I hope all the ones who refuse to be wrong or at least just refuse to move on if they still hate him so much would at least shut up already.

Man, I really miss when I could openly express how I was a big fan of Panic! and at least passively all former and at any given time present members and whatever any of them did before or after. There's just so many divides and rifts and chaos from all over. I'm not really an old or new fan, started late 2015, but it feels like a lifetime. I miss the days when I could say I loved Brendon, Ryan, Spencer, Jon, Dallon, etc, without fights breaking out. I hope that can be true again soon.

Oh man, I don’t know if you know this but people have been against Brendon since Ryan left and there has always been a divide since there just became more divides. Unfortunately nothing we can do about it; however I think that no matter how angry we are about how anyone was treated we need to move on from it and stop fighting with one other, it’s definitely divided the fanbase even worse since the first split.

lol that anon claiming “old panic! stans” are obsessed with Ryan… literally only ever see young people obsessed with him. anyone I know who has been a longtime fan (we’re mostly in our 30s!) got over that over a decade ago and has been so excited to see Brendon grow and find success on his own terms. It’s kids that are obsessed with a past they never witnessed and believe pure lies about and have been trying to ruin Brendon’s career over it… it’s wild to see. I GUESS I can understand being tricked by Dallon’s bs (still baffling to me, he is… something) but Ryan isn’t even asking for this bizarre child worship at Brendon’s expense. ANYWAY thank you for trying to make people see sense.

About the comedy sketches that B used to mimic, Those were all from vices and virtues tour when he had tremendous weight on his shoulders. He kinda tried too hard to be funny because of probably a lack of confidence in himself coming out of the Pretty Off era and being told he wasn’t good enough by other band mates. He also grew up in a time where I hate to say it, but those jokes were acceptable. Obviously it’s not now. I am sure no one cringes more at that time/those jokes than him. People need to give this guy a break!! They have probably said much worse but didn’t have cameras recording every utterance.

Not entirely true, some of it was from Gospel tour era. The issue is that Brendon has a lack in self confidence when it comes to his own comedy. He doesn’t think that he is funny enough so he rips off the stand up comedians he watches. However, he hasn’t really made those jokes in a long time.

No offence but older panic stans are kinda annoying? They can't shut up about this ryan guy, how panic! lost "emoness" (I cringe everytime whenever they mention fob, mcr and patd as emo trinity) and how pretty odd albulm is great

It’s not older fans that are of this mentality, it’s newer fans that cling onto old eras.
