canât stop watching clips of mayaâs goal bc i think itâs hysterical how she comes out of nowhere at the speed of lightning and basically just charges into three players to force the ball in the net, like she practically didnât head it in she just kind of bulldozes it into the goal
In the sixth minute Ona puts a well-timed ball into the box and Lucia gets a flick on it, scoring the first goal of the game.
Fans cheer in the ground whilst the team surround Lucia bringing everyone into a group hug. Maya runs to join from centre half trying to get as close to her as possible, so when the team huddle broke she got her chance to congratulate her, only her.
As soon as she made eye contact with Lucia her face lit up, soon feeling Mayaâs arms around her hugging her close.
âWell done Luâ. Maya whispered to her ear, before pulling away and running back into position. Lucia couldnât help but blush, however she didnât want to give too much away in case the cameras were on her.
Maya and Lucia were only friends, but they knew they had a special connection, seemingly they were too scared to admit it in case the other didnât feel the same, this had been going on for a while.
Friends and teammates made jokes they were a couple as they seemed to be glued to the hip and every conversation they had ended in laughter that they couldnât control, nobody else got their humour.
There have been times when they were joking around, always ending up in each others arms. Lucia shows her affection through physical touch so her body always ended up around Mayaâs.
This is when Maya started to realise she liked her touch, maybe more than she cared to admit, but she always pushed her feelings down, not wanting to ruin their friendship.
However back to the liverpool game at half time it was 3-0 and spirits were very high in the dressing room.
Maya sat down next to Lucia congratulating her on the goal again, but she was busy talking to Ona that she didnât hear.
âWell done Luâ. Maya repeated placing a hand on her thigh to get her attention, hearing her conversation about to end. Thatâs what she hoped anyway, as she didnât know much Spanish.
Lucia turned smiling at the touch, and their faces happened to be inches apart.
In panic Maya looked down at the floor but Luciaâs arms still wrapped around her whilst thanking her.
Not soon after it was time for the second half.
In the 46th minute united had a corner, Maya looked to the left of her and saw the spaniard and quickly discussed what player they were marking.
However as Maya turned back around she marginally walked backwards gravitating towards Lucia, their bodies slightly pressed together.
Lucia reached out a hand that started on her back and moved across to her shoulder.
At the touch Maya turned to her then her eyes drifted to her lips, back up to her eyes and back down again more times than she thought.
At the third time of looking her up and down Lucia noticed and her eyes wandered down as well. There was so much tension in such little time.
Maya soon realised Lucia had caught on by her actions, resulting in her turning around quickly in panic.
However Luciaâs hand didnât move from her lower back and Mayaâs tongue had to resort to her own lips trying to control her feelings, trying to concentrate on the corner once again.

Thank you for reading, I know i havenât posted in so long and this may seem surprising for some as i havenât posted about Lucia and Maya before.
I just think the relationship they have together is very cute so i thought iâd write about it. Let me know if you want any more.
Iâm going to be completely honest I donât see myself continuing on my Maya fanfic for now, iâll try and write one last chapter for everyone. Iâm really sorry and gutted myself. I just donât want anyone waiting around for something that may not happen, I hope you understand.
However this doesnât mean itâs gone forever, I may write some shorter fanficâs and if anyone has any ideas please feel free to ask. â¤ď¸
Hi, sorry i havenât posted a chapter in so long iâve just not had any motivation atm. Tomorrow iâm flying out to Barcelona to watch barca against Frankfurt in the uwcl, (which is like a dream) so hopefully when Iâm back iâll start writing more. Thank you for your patience.
âWhatâs wrong?â. Maya asked softly, as she watched your hands cover your eyes. You were still lay together in bed.
âWe have training tomorrowâ.
âWe could call in sickâ.
âNo we play Chelsea in three days, we canât let the team downâ.
âOkay but if you feel off at any point, please let me knowâ.
âOf courseâ. You replied, giving her a small smile.
âI do love youâ. She said, trailing a hand down your arm.
âI love you too softieâ.
âYou really think I went soft on you then?â. She joked.
âYou can be rougherâ. You teased.
She laughed in response.
- The next day -
Putting on a fake smile you entered the training ground together.
âHey y/n, how was yesterday?â. Katie asked.
âGoodâ. You lied, avoiding eye contact, your voice slightly breaking.
âCan you not bring it up?â, Maya asked, trying to protect you.
âWhy, what happened?â.
Your eyes trailed over to Mayaâs giving her a stern look. âYou donât want to knowâ. She replied.
âOh okay, well come and join us in the cafeâ. She said leading the way. However on the way you pulled Maya to the side. âI can speak for myself okay, you donât need to protect meâ.
âIâm just looking out for youâ.
âWell you donât need toâ.
âYeah, sorryâ. She replied, looking away.
You nodded your head and followed after Zelem.
As you entered the cafe your face lit up. The whole team got together wishing you happy birthday, there was presents and balloons around a table.
âAww, thank you everyoneâ.
Mary then lit the candles and they started singing happy birthday, you had no choice but to awkwardly stand there and listen.
âBlow the candles out thenâ. Rachel called from one of the tables that were set out.
Laughing you took a seat, blowing them out trying to get it over with. Maya took the seat next to you and everyone started chatting away.
âWhat did you do yesterday?â. Millie asked. The room went quiet as everyone wanted to hear your answer.
âOh ugh, I went to the beach with Mayaâ. You eyes looking at her for safety,
âAww thatâs cuteâ.
âYepâ. You then felt a hand on your thigh, with reassurance.
âDid you not do anything with your family?â.
The heartbeat in your chest started beating rapidly, you couldnât bare to hear that word.
You opened your mouth to speak but nothing came out, you felt yourself starting to panic so you got up and removed yourself from the situation. The room fell deadly silent as everyone watched you walk away.
Tears started pouring out your eyes, unable to control your emotions, you didnât know where to go without someone finding you so you hid in your car.
Slamming the door behind you, you put your head in your hands however you noticed your hands started to shake unable to control them. At first you were confused why this was happening but then you looked at your glove box, and what was inside of it.
âThis is such a fucking bad ideaâ, you thought to yourself, you still had to train for the rest of the day. But the longer you lingered about, the more desperate you became.
You opened the glove box, took out a cigarette and lit it. Rolling down your window you took the nicotine in, soon feeling your nerves start to calm down as you slouched back into your seat.
Assuming it would take awhile for people to find you, you thought you would have more time. That was until you noticed a certain 5 foot 7 centre back stare at you through the window.
âPlease donât tell me youâre smokingâ.
You didnât say anything, you couldnât lie to her.
âPass me itâ. You shook your head. âPleaseâ.
Sighing you sheepishly passed it her, avoiding eye contact. She threw it on the floor and stomped it out.
âYou need to stop, these kill you from the inside and I canât bare to lose youâ.
âYeah, sorryâ.
She then opened the car door. âLetâs go back inside, weâre about to start trainingâ.
âOkayâ. You replied, slowly getting out the car.
She reached for your hand as you made your way back, but you pulled yours away. She looked at you with sad eyes, disappointed with your recent behaviour, but she couldnât blame you.
When you walked into the gym all eyes were on you but no one said a word, you were grateful for the music that was playing filling the silence.
You started on the bike that usually is accompanied by Maya but you noticed her doing weights instead, giving you space you assumed. However not long after you started quickly becoming breathless which isnât usually the case.
Nikita then noticed who was by the side of you. âYou alright?â.
âY-yeah, just tiredâ. You replied through deep breaths.
âDid Maya keep you up?â. She joked.
âNoâ. You laughed, looking to Maya who was laughing at one of Millieâs jokes, however your laugh turned into a cough.
âDo you need some water?â. Keets asked.
âNo itâs fine thanks, iâll be back in a minuteâ. You said quickly making your way to the toilets. Maya noticed instantly and not long after followed behind you.
Leaning over the sink your coughing didnât seem to stop. You stared at yourself in the mirror and hated the sight, you regretted smoking immensely. Soon you heard the door open and you knew who it would be.
âY/n you have two days to end thisâ.
âI knowâ. You sighed.
âPlease stopâŚfor meâ. She said, leaning against the counter looking at you with hope.
âIâll tryâ.
âI just want the best for youâ.
âI knowâ. You sighed.
âDo you wanna tell Marc what happened yesterday?â.
âUgh, i dunnoâ.
âI could tell him for youâ.
âHmm alrightâ.
âItâs going to be okayâ. She said, walking up to you and placing a hand on your shoulder. You nodded your head in agreement return.
- Half an hour later -
âHe said he understands if you need any time off, so heâll bench you for the Chelsea game if thatâs what you wantâ. She whispered. Now sitting down next to you in the gym.
âThanks, but itâs okayâ. You replied, giving her a smile.
âAre you sure?â.
âYes, iâm sureâ.
âOkay, how are you feeling?â.
âIâm fine, just trying to do my work outâ. You replied, turning away from her.
âOh sorryâ. She said disheartened, wondering if you would turn back around. But you didnât.
- Later that day -
Now cuddled up with Maya her attention was on the Tv however yourâs was on your hands. They were shaking again.
âJust going to the toiletâ. You said getting off her. âOkayâ. She replied pausing the film.
âYou donât have to waitâ.
âAre you sure?â.
âYes iâm not botheredâ.
âOh okayâ.
Looking in the mirror at yourself, you couldnât believe how addicted you really had become, it wasnât supposed to happen.
You didnât have any cigarettes left in the house so all you could do was splash your face with water and pray. Walking back into the lounge you lay next to Maya again and hid your hands under the blanket, but the blanket didnât do much use.
âYou alright?â. She asked, noticing your face also going pale.
âY-yeah just coldâ. You lied.
âYou shouldâve said, iâll go and put the heating onâ.
âO-ok thanksâ. But after awhile you started overheating.
âAre you getting a fever?â. She asked, feeling your forehead.
âMaybeâ.
âYou do feel warm, do you want me to get you anything?â.
âNo iâll be fineâ.
âLet me have a look in the cupboardsâ. She replied. You watched as she frantically searched for something that would make you feel better.
âI donât have anything to give you, let me quickly go to the shops, i wonât be longâ.
âAre you sure?â.
âYes, I donât want you feeling worseâ.
âOkay, thanksâ.
Not long after she left did you start developing a slight headache. All you could think about now was what was left in your glove box.
Rubbing your eyes Mayaâs words replayed over and over in your head, you were so torn between what to do but you felt like you had no choice. Grabbing your car keys you made your way to the glove box and looked inside. You only had one left.
Picking it up without hesitation you quickly lit it. The shop wasnât far away so you knew Maya would be back shortly so you would have to savour it as much as you could.
Heading back inside you went out to her back garden, you would never smoke inside her house.
You had almost finished the cigarette until you heard her car back on the driveway. Quickly you put it out, hid it in her bin and made a break for the couch. As soon as Maya walked in you had just got there with seconds to spare.
âI got some paracetamol for youâ. She said, with a smile.
âThanksâ. You replied, returning the smile.
She then got you a glass of water sat back down handing it over. You swallowed the pill and placed the glass in front of you.
However catching you off guard she leant in and kissed you. This caused panic over you as you thought if you said you had a fever she wouldnât stay near you. But as soon as she pulled away she knew straight away what you had done.
Her eyes felt like daggers on you. âY/n you canât be seriousâ. You didnât say anything. âI went out to the shops and got you medicine to help you and you pay me back with smoking whilst iâm goneâ.
âI didnât do it insideâ.
âAs if that makes it any fucking betterâ. She shouted. You avoided eye contact with her. âYou should know better than thisâ.
âMay iâm sorryâ.
âNo, youâre notâ.
She got up and left, making her way upstairs.
Tears then welled up in your eyes. All you do is let people down, no wonder they leave you, you thought to yourself. Your attention then turned to Mocha. âBut you wouldnât leave me rightâ. He looked at you almost sympathetically.
- A few hours later -
It had been several hours now and Maya still hadnât come down.
âIâll make dinner soon, what would you like?â. You text. But she just left you on read. Sighing you got up and headed for the kitchen, youâll just have to bring it up to her.
Dishing the food out, you anxiously made your way up the stairs. When you entered the bedroom you saw her scrolling on her phone, but she didnât look up. As you got closer to her, you noticed her eyes were red and puffy. It seemed like she had been crying as well.
You placed the bowl on the bedside table, afraid to say a word. Turning back round heading towards the door you unexpectedly heard her voice. âWaitâ.
Slowly you turned back to her. âCome hereâ. She said, tapping the bed, you followed her instruction. âThe reason I hate smoking is because my grandad died of lung cancer from it, and I canât let that happen to youâ.
âFuck Maya, I didnât know that iâm sorryâ. You replied putting you head down.
âItâs not your fault, you wouldnât have knownâ.
âBut you told me to stop and I went against youâ.
âI shouldnât have got up and left youâ.
Lifting your head up you looked into her eyes. âI donât blame youâ.
âYou should, I knew what you went through and still did itâ.
âItâs okayâ.
âItâs notâ. She replied, rubbing her eyes. A short silence followed.
âWell, iâm hungry so if you donât mind iâm going back down to get my dinnerâ. You said, trying to lift up the mood.
âIâll join youâ. She chuckled.
After dinner Maya was adamant in doing the washing up, then later on you went out for a dog walk.
âI know itâs your choice to smoke, I understand. But itâs really not good for you long term and I know you know that, but Iâm with you every step of the way when you want to recoverâ.
âYes I will soon, I feel incredibly selfish for putting you through thisâ.
âDonât, thatâs why iâm here to support you no matter whatâ.
âThanksâ. You replied, holding onto her hand. âYou can tell me anything and you donât have to hide your emotions from meâ.
âI know, I wonâtâ. She smiled.
- A few days later -
It was now game day against Chelsea, it was going to be a tough game but unfortunately you couldnât be a part of it as you were benched but Maya still played.
At half time it was still all to play for. You sat in the dressing room next to Maya giving her reassurance as she had played well. You wished her good luck and the team went on to the lsv pitch for the second half.
However in the 60th minute a ball was whipped into the box. Sam Kerr and Maya went in for the header at top speed which lead to them clashing heads but Sam got the better of it as she managed to direct the header in the goal.
Looking across the field from the bench you saw Sam was holding her head still standing but you soon noticed Maya was lay on the ground barely moving. The medics team rushed over as everyone shouted for them.
She eventually managed to sit up but thatâs when everyone saw the blood, it was pouring from a cut near her eye and out of her nose. You felt sick not being able to be there by her side.
The medics patched up her cut but she was still adamant on playing on. They assessed her and allowed it as her vision was okay. However this this was a mistake, four minutes later Lauren James scored meaning Chelsea was 2-0 up, but all hope wasnât lost as Russo got a goal back in the 71st minute.
The longer the game went on the worse Maya physically looked as her wound was bleeding through the plaster. It didnât help that she went in for another header. The game got stopped again and Maya had no choice but to be subbed off.
You watched as she sadly walked off the pitch and straight down the tunnel feeling like she had let the team down. Erin Cuthbert managed to get a final goal in the 90+2 minute finishing the game at 3-1 to Chelsea.
As soon as the final whistle blew you headed straight down the tunnel to find her.
This is quite a heavy part which includes you being kicked out by your family, smoking but also mature scenes. So if you are affected by any of these things feel free to skip, I donât mean to do any harm.
You went out to a nice restaurant with your family which isnât usually the case but it was probably because you were 21.
Not long in the meal did your family notice the necklace and ring you were wearing as they are expensive.
âWhere did you get the money to buy that from?â. Your mum asked.
âOhâŚmy girlfriend got it meâ. You said anxiously, messing with the ring.
âYou have a girlfriend?â.
âYepâ.
âWhy didnât you tell us?â.
âIâve not really had chanceâ.
âWhat is she like?â. Your dad asked.
âWell she plays centre backâ.
âMillie turner?â.
âNoâ. You laughed. âMaya le tissierâ.
âOhâŚherâ.
There was an awkward silence.
âWhatâs wrong with that?â.
âSheâs only just joined hasnât she?â. Your dad asked.
âSheâs been here for almost four monthsâ.
You then noticed a notification flash up on your phone. It was Maya, Thank God.
âHowâs it going?â - Maya.
âAlright thanks, just told them about us.â -You.
âThatâs good, how did they take it?â.
âThey were mostly surprised I think, but anyway what are you up to?â
âJust thinking about youâ.
âHopefully iâll be back sooner than laterâ.
âi canât wait to see you again, in that dressâ.
âIt may look nice but itâs starting to get a bit uncomfortableâ.
âI guess iâll have to take it off you thenâ.
You heart started slightly racing at how flirty Maya was being, considering you were at a restaurant with your family their attention wasnât on you, your parents were just talking about work and your younger siblings were just bickering at each other.
âI guess youâll have to wait and seeâ.
A smirk was displayed on your face however you were suddenly cut off by the waiter who was waiting for you to order. Your face started to flush embarrassed by your lack of concentration on where you were, as your mind took you places of what you wanted Maya to do to you.
Quickly hiding your phone, you said your order and was glad to watch the waiter walk away.
âPass me your phone, I canât believe how incredibly rude you are being, itâs your birthday and you are ignoring your family, we barely see you as it isâ. Your mum said.
âWait, iâm sorry I was just messaging a friend who wished me happy birthdayâ.
âHmm okay, but you better be telling the truthâ.
âOf courseâ.
You placed your phone down next to you sighing with relief.
âDo you have games on your phone?â. Your younger sibling asked, suddenly picking up your phone that was right next to them.
âNo not anymoreâ.
A notification then chimed and you felt you were going to have a heart attack that very second.
âI wish I could feel you nowâ. Your sibling read aloud, confused.
You froze in place not daring to make eye contact with anyone. Taking your phone back you replied âWhere did you get that from?â.
âSomeone called Maya sent it youâ.
âFor fuck sakeâ. You whispered under your breath.
There was then a silence until your dad spoke up. âY/n leave, I canât stand you being here, youâve ruined the meal for everyoneâ.
âNo please iâm-â.
âI said leaveâ.
âI-iâm sorryâ.
âYou are not apart of this family any longerâ.
âWhat?â. You said with tears burning in your eyes.
âYou chose this way of life, you did this to yourselfâ.
âMum pleaseâ. You cried. She hung her head low not saying a word, she couldnât even look at you.
You found it hard to breathe, not believing what was happening right in front of you. Wiping your eyes you hoped you were dreaming. But you werenât.
Drinks were then brought to your table, the worst timing in the world. You picked up your dadâs beer and practically ran out the restaurant to your car, choking on tears along the way.
As soon as you got in you downed the pint hoping it would take all the pain you were feeling, but that was impossible you needed something stronger. You looked around and noticed a worker having a smoke break. Cautiously you went up to him hoping he would give you a cigarette.
âDo you have any you could spare?â. You asked.
âShit, you look like you need them more than meâ. He replied.
âRough nightâ.
He handed you a cigarette and lit it for you.
âDo you wanna talk about it?â.
âNoâ. You replied, taking a puff. The last time you smoked was when you were 17 at a party and ended up becoming addicted for a few months before you had to give it up to focus on football properly. Shortly you felt your nerves slightly calm down.
âActually i need to go back for my shift, you can keep my lighter and the rest, I have sparesâ.
âOkay thanksâ. You replied, taking them off him.
âHope your night gets betterâ.
âCheersâ. You said. He then walked back inside.
Finished with the first cigarette you put it out and tossed it in the bin. You made your way to your car lighting another then placed the rest in your glove box.
On your way back to Mayaâs house still tears pouring down you face, now on the 3rd cigarette you questioned whether to actually go back. She couldnât see you like this, but you had nowhere else to go.
You threw your last cigarette out your window before pulling up onto Mayaâs drive. Sickness crept into your stomach at the thought of her even looking at the state of you, but it was too cold in the car to stay.
Knocking on the door you tried to wipe your eyes as much as possible but nothing could hide your puffy eyes.
âY/n what happened?â. Maya asked in complete shock, youâve never seen her this worried in your life.
You burst out crying again, unable to form any words. Hiding your face you walked past her to the lounge and slumped onto the couch. She walked in and sat down next to you placing a hand anxiously on your thigh.
âI-Iâm dead to themâ.
âTo who?â.
âMy familyâ.
âWhatâŚwhy?â. She replied in complete panic, tears also forming in her eyes.
âThey told me to leaveâ. You said. Mayaâs mouth hung open, finding it hard to process such information. ââŚand itâs my faultâ.
âNo, this is never your faultâ. You shook your head in response. âWhat happened for them to do such a thing?â.
âThey saw theâŚâ.
âThey saw what?â.
âI told them about how my apartment got robbed and they blamed it on my lifestyle choices, as in being with youâ. You half lied.
âThat makes no senseâ.
âI knowâ. You sniffled, hiding your face.
She moved closer towards you attempting to comfort you. However you started coughing heavily due to the cigarettes.
âHave you been smoking?â. She asked, smelling the tobacco on your breath. You sheepishly nodded your head. âItâs okay, i just didnât know you smokedâ.
âI donâtâ.
âWell, your final present was going to be finding out that we got the apartment, but that doesnât even matter right nowâ.
âWe didâ. You replied, looking at her with excitement.
âYesâ. She smiled. You brought her into a hug now feeling slightly optimistic for the future.
âPlease donât leave meâ. You sighed, rubbing her back.
âI wonât, youâre my family nowâ.
Pulling away you looked into her eyes. âI liked your textâ. Her face then went slightly red. âI thought it would give you something to think about in case you had a bad night, but itâs not ideal nowâ.
âWhy not?â. You said leaning towards her.
âAre you sure itâs what you want right now?â.
âI thought you wanted to feel meâ. You whispered, repeating Mayaâs message.
âIâm never going to hear the end of this am I?â. She chuckled.
âNoâ. You smirked.
âDo you want me to?â.
âYesâ.
She picked you up holding onto your thighs and made way to her bedroom. She then leant over you.
âIs this o-â. You cut her off strongly bringing your lips onto hers, instantly slipping your tongue in her throat, you put all your built up anger, sadness into that kiss.
She quickly unzipped your dress first knowing it gave you discomfort and itâs safe to say you were never going to wear it ever again. You wanted to forget about everything that had happened so she instantly went to where you wanted her the most, not wasting any timeâŚ
-
Now breathless you lay to the side of her, the pleasure just added to the chaos of emotions you couldnât help but feel, which brought you to tears again.
âDid I do something wrong?â. Maya worriedly asked, turning to you.
âNoâ. You replied, still faced away from her. Her hand then brushed in between your hair, hoping it would give some comfort.
âI just canât stop thinking about itâ. Her hand then wrapped around you. âIâm sure they donât mean i-â.
âThey doâ. You shouted. âMy dad was clearâ.
âOh okay, sorryâ. She replied. You turned towards her. âI donât want to talk about it anymoreâ.
âWe donât have to talk at allâ. She smirked.
sorry I havenât posted in awhile, I just lost a bit of motivation and had a bit of a writers blank, but I have some more ideas now so the next chapter shouldnât be as long of a wait. Thank you for your patience. đŤś
The next few days consisted of you doing viewings for your apartment and some one had made an offer.
Turning the key and opening Mayaâs door you were greeted firstly by Mocha.
âHow did it go?â. Maya asked, watching you bend down to pet him.
âSome one made an offerâ. You replied, a smile displayed across your face.
âThatâs greatâ. She said, bringing you into a hug as soon as you stood back up.
âHave you heard anything about the new apartment yet?â.
âNo not yetâ.
âIâm sure we will soonâ.
âHopefullyâ.
âHopefully on your birthday tomorrowâ. She said, with a big smile.
âThat would be goodâ.
âIt will oldieâ. She teased.
âIâm only five months older than youâ. You rolled your eyes.
âThatâs a long timeâ. She chuckled.
You laughed and walked into the kitchen to get a snack as you were hungry.
âSo what would you like to do tomorrow for your birthday?â. She asked.
âHmmâŚwe could go to the beach if you want?â. You knew Maya loved the beach and she hasnât been yet since joining, you wanted to make the day enjoyable for both of you.
âAre you sure? whatâs the weather going to be like?â She replied trying to not seem as excited as she really was.
âI think itâs meant to be sunny for a few hours, then it will go cloudy. If itâs too bad we can just walk around the shops for a bit, but it will probably be too cold to go in the seaâ.
âOkay, but iâm use to going in the sea whatever temperatureâ.
âOh sorry Guernsey girlâ. You joked sarcastically. Youâve lived in Manchester your whole life so you only went to the beach if it was summer or if you were on holiday.
She laughed at you slightly pushing your back. This made you slightly hobble to the side due to your cut foot that was still healing.
âHeyyâ.
âHave you been hobbling around all day for the viewings?â.
âSlightlyâ.
She laughed back at you.
âItâs my birthday tomorrow, donât be meanâ.
âIâm only jokingâ. She replied wrapping her arms around you and softly kissing your neck.
âHmmâ.
âIâll make it up to you tomorrowâ.
âOkayâ. You smiled.
- The next day -
Slowly opening your eyes you realised it was your birthday. Usually you spent past birthday mornings with your family, however this year since you were going out with Maya to the beach earlier on, you were seeing them later for dinner.
Speaking of Maya you looked to the side of you and noticed she wasnât there. Sighing you realised she was probably already downstairs so you would have to get out your nice warm bed. As soon as you got downstairs you saw Maya making breakfast.
âGood morningâ. You said, with a tired smile.
âMorningâŚno, no I was going to give you this in bed, I didnât know you were awakeâ.
âMay itâs ok, iâll just eat it now that iâm hereâ. You chuckled.
âAre you sure?â. She asked.
âYes,iâm sureâ.
âAlright then, I just thought since it was your birthdayâŚhappy birthday!â. She said eventually, too busy focused on preparing breakfast she forgot to say.
âThank youâ. You laughed as she brought you into a hug.
âIâll give you your presents laterâ.
âYou didnât have to get me anythingâ.
âOf course I do, itâs your birthdayâ.
âUsually I just get bank transfers nowadaysâ.
âOh..well not this yearâ. She smiled, handing you breakfast that she cooked.
âHmm are you sure you made this, it actually looks niceâ. You joked.
âHeyy, iâm an amazing cookâ.
âHas anyone told you that?â.
âWellâŚno, but I think I amâ.
You laughed back at her. âWell I think youâre an amazing cookâ.
âAww thanksâ. She replied, slightly blushing.
âDo you still want to go to the beach in a few hours?â. You asked.
âOf course, iâve been excited all dayâ.
âAww how cuteâ.
âIâm not cuteâ.
âYes you areâ. You chuckled.
- A few hours later -
âI canât find my bikini anywhereâ. You groaned searching through every crevice of Mayaâs bedroom and some boxes you havenât fully unpacked when you said you were going to unpack them a week ago.
âDo you want to open your presents now or later?â Maya asked.
âI donât care, iâm just trying to find my bikini firstâ.
âOhâŚok sorryâ. She said disheartened.
You brushed a hand along your face. âMaya I didnât mean it like that, iâm sorry of course I care about what you generously got me. Iâm just stressed as weâre already half an hour behind because of meâ.
âItâs fine, I understand I shouldnât have asked you nowâ.
âNo itâs not your faultâ. You replied wrapping your arms around her and straddling her lap as she sat on the side of the bed, watching her bedroom become a mess.
âWell if you canât find your bikini I guess youâll have to swim nakedâ. Maya joked.
âIâm not sure if the other people on the beach will like thatâ.
âBut I wouldâ.
âVery funny Le tissâ. You replied, playfully pushing her head to the side.
âHmm thatâs a nickname youâve not called me beforeâ.
âWell iâll call it you until we find my bikiniâ. You said getting off her.
âWell I like itâ.
âOf course you doâ. You chuckled. âOh and iâll open my presents at the beach as we wonât have time nowâ.
âThatâs okayâ. She grinned.
-
You were now in Mayaâs car along with her and Mocha as you started your hour long drive to the beach. Eventually you managed to find your bikini that ended up at the pit of the box you typically last looked in.
Luckily the weather was on your side as the sun was creeping through the clouds but it was still quite windy and chilly.
There was a few people along the sandy beach but not many as it was November. Maya walked Mocha as well as carrying the bags as she insisted.
âItâs so nice hereâ. You said as you lay a blanket out for you both to sit on.
âYes it is, reminds me of homeâ. She replied with a big smile. She then let Mocha off his lead as there wasnât that many people around. He straight away made a break for the sea.
âI can tell someone loves the beachâ. You said, watching him splash in the water.
âYes, whenever I go back to Guernsey with my family we always take him thereâ. You then looked back to her and she was already undressed ready to go in.
âSomeoneâs eagerâ.
âIâve just not been swimming for awhileâ.
âSame to be fairâ. You then started to get unchanged, however it was so cold you started shivering finding it hard to even take your t-shirt off.
âCâmon you get used to it after a bitâ.
âI dunno itâs too cold, but i donât want to get my shirt wetâ.
She then rubbed both your arms. âItâll be fine, just stay close to me..you can wear my shirt if you wantâ.
âN-no iâll just brave itâ.
âYou sure?â.
"Yepâ. You replied not confidently at all.
Slowly you made it to the shore, dipping your toes in the freezing cold water. Maya quickly merged herself into the water as if it didnât faze her at all. Cold water swimming is meant to be good for you.
âCâmon itâs not that badâ. She said, holding out a hand.
âMaybe for youâ.
âIâll ease you into it thenâ:
âFineâ. You replied, holding her hand then slowly going deeper, even though your body fought against it. But unexpectedly she then pulled you up to her quickly submerging your whole body. âHeyyâ. You whined as you were in slight shock, however not long later you realised she was right, it wasnât that bad.
She held your thighs as you wrapped your legs around her, still trying to gain as much heat as you could.
âHow are you feeling?â. She asked.
âWell a lot better now iâm next to youâ. You chuckled.
âGoodâ. She replied, however you noticed her eyes were starting to wonder down.
âMy eyes are up hereâ.
âY-yeahâ. She replied, her face starting flush, she couldnât be discreet at anything to save her life. Instead you lifted her chin up and brought her into a kiss, her hand moving to hold the back of your neck.
âHmmâ. She hummed after you broke the kiss. However not soon after your body started shivering again.
âDo you want to get out now?â.
âIf thatâs okayâ.
âOf course, I donât mind as long as youâre okayâ. She replied, starting to carry you out the water, you still wrapped around her. Mocha then started following you back to your belongings.
âI need to leave in a few hours for my family dinner anywayâ.
âOh yeah, thatâs fineâ. She replied handing you a towel, but quickly looked you up and down one last time before your towel surrounded you. You just laughed at her, but couldnât help but do the same.
Unfortunately there was nowhere for you to get changed so you thought you would have to uncomfortably wear your cold, wet swimwear under you clothes until you got home.
âDo you want me to shield you with the towel if you want to get changed, thereâs no one else aroundâ.
âActually that would be good thanksâ. Shortly you did the same for her and started packing some things away.
âIâll give you one present now and the rest laterâ. Maya said with a big smile.
âAww thank you, you really didnât have to ge-â. She covered your mouth before you could finish the sentence.
âHereâ. She replied handing it you. You then nervously opened it. She didnât take her eyes off you, watching for your reaction.
It was a pandora necklace with a heart on it.
âOh my God Maya this is so beautiful, but theyâre so expensiveâ.
âThat doesnât matter, you deserve itâ.
âAre you sure?â.
âOf course iâm sure, let me see it on youâ. She clipped it on and as she lay eyes back on you her face lit up.
âYou look incredibleâ.
âThank youâ. You replied, quickly wrapping your arms around her holding her body close. âI love you softieâ.
âLove you tooâ. She replied trying to hide the tears that were nearly falling down her cheeks.
âAww donât, cos iâll start crying nowâ.
âI-itâs because itâs windyâ. She said unconvincingly.
âYeah rightâ. You giggled.
She laughed at you whilst wiping her eyes, you doing the same.
âLetâs get some lunch then, iâm hungryâ.
âMe tooâ. You replied, but couldnât stop smiling.
The rest of the day consisted of you having lunch at a cute coffee shop and walking Mocha around the small village. Before you knew it you were already back at Mayaâs.
âHereâs one last present before you leaveâ. Maya said, with a big grin.
âYouâre too kindâ. You replied, and starting unwrapping it expecting nothing much. It was a pandora ring that matched the necklace. âOh my God, Maya I canât take this, youâve spent too muchâ. You said almost in tears again.
âI want you to have itâ. She replied, putting it on your finger, it fitted perfectly.
âI donât know what to sayâŚthank youâ. Bringing her into a hug once again.
âI didnât want to give it to you earlier in case you lost it in the seaâ.
âYes knowing my luck i probably would haveâ. You laughed.
âWell I hope you have a nice time with your familyâ.
âWould you like to meet them?â.
âOh um I dunno, iâll have to look after Mocha, I do want to at some point thoughâ. She said nervously.
âNo itâs fine I understand, but iâm gonna miss youâ. You said leaning towards her.
âIâll miss you tooâ. She replied, moving her hands down the sides of your dress. You brought her into a kiss, trying to savour every second with her before you leave in a few minutes.
Pulling away your breath taken by her, you watched her face filled with love.
âI should actually go now, I donât want to be late to my own partyâ.
âFine, but promise youâll come back later, I have something else for youâ.
âYou got another thing!â.
âYesâ. She smiled.
âOkay, I pinky promiseâ. You replied linking your little fingers together. She laughed back at you, watching you walk towards the door however you couldnât help but kiss her goodbye one last time.
âSee you laterâ. She grinned.
âBye softieâ. You hugged her and made your way to your car, she watched until your car had turned the corner and out of sight.
summary~ You met Maya when you were twelve and playing in a boys only team, she too was the only girl in her team. A year later you meet again, only now sheâs your teammate at England.
Youâve always loved Maya Le Tissier.
Growing up, playing in an all boys team was tough. At first they were soft with you but that changed when you started to tackle them, hard. They challenged you more and harder, they didnât want to lose to a girl. âGirls canât play footballâ is the phrase you heard most growing up.
When you had a game against another team, your teammates did stick up for you. The boys from the other team would yell insults when you walked past them. Their parents were even worse, the dads yelled at their kids whenever you nutmegged them and the moms told your parents that they should take you off football.
The game almost always got a whole lot more physical after the first half. The opponent didnât want to lose to a girl. They tried to take you out with bad tackles and tugged at your shirt until you fell down. But your teammates stood up for you. Your captain pushed the boy that took you down and even the parents of your teammates would yell at the boy and his coach for being so reckless.
Youâd never played in a girls team or against a girl, really. Although it was hard playing against boys, you wouldnât trade it for a thing. The boys were tough on you but whenever you needed them, they got your back. It had always been like this, it kept you on your toes and you preformed better because of it.
It wasnât until you turned twelve that you played against a girl. The only girl on an all boys team, just like you.
You stared at her from the sideline, where your team was doing their warming-up. âY/n, whatâre you looking at?â your captain yelled. He took you out of your trance and you turned you head towards the warming-up again.
âYou know the girl?â you asked one of your teammates that was stood next to you, stretching. He shrugged and answered, âNot really, all i know is that her nameâs Maya.â.
Maya was a defender, you were a striker, you were destined to meet on the field.
Your team starts slow, and the other team scores an early goal. But you need to make an impression. As the game goes on, you notice the girl defending you, she had so much skill and isn't afraid to make a tackle. She makes it beyond hard for you to get past her.
At halftime, your team is 2-0 down, but you can't lose, not to her. In the second half, you come back stronger and harder. With fast footwork, you create opportunities. The girl is right there, trying to block your every move, but you're not giving up.
In the final minutes, it finally happens. The parents watching spur you on as you maneuver past defenders, including the girl who you've been eyeing all game. You score a goal and you run towards your teammates, but not before looking at Maya. The girl smiles, impressed by your work.
But you're not done yet. You're still one goal down, you need atleast one other goal. As the game continues, you find yourself in the perfect position.
With a well-timed shot, you score another goal, tying the game.
The match ends in a draw, but for you it felt like a little victory.
You shook the hands of your opponents, leaving one for last. The brunette walked over to you. âYou played good.â she complimented. With red cheeks you responded, âThanks, you too, you made it really tough to score.â. She laughed and walked away.
One year later you met again, at the Under 15âs for England. Maya had already made friends but you didnât. It had always been harder for you to make friends, especially girl friends.
You were sat on a tree trunk outside. It was wasnât really cold outside since it was still summer but it wasnât warm either, the evening breeze making the hairs on your forearms stand up.
There you were, feeling homesick and kicking some rocks away like they were footballs.
Maya saw you sitting from inside the training center and decided to go talk to you. âMind if i sit here?â she asked you but was already sitting next to you before you could answer. You already knew who it was. Maya started kicking rocks too, âThis is kinda boring, why wonât you come inside?â. Again, you didnât really answer and just shrugged. You didnât move to go inside so she stayed there too, the whole evening.
She did all the talking. âIâve never been to an England camp before, i hope we get to keep our game kits.â she rambled. She even made you laugh when she told you about the one time she âaccidentallyâ broke the nose of an opponent. Maya could talk for the both of you and you just listened.
When the England staff called the both of you inside because you needed to go to your room you said something for the first time that evening. âYouâre fun, Maya.â you told her looking at your feet that were still kicking little rocks away.
âThank you. I think youâre way better company than the other girls here, y/n.â she complimented, looking at your face that had gotten red at her compliment. She knew you werenât much of a talker but that didnât bother her, youâll eventually open up.
You did open up. The two of you were polar opposites, Mayaâs extroverted who loved to talk while you were an introvert who rarely talks. But even though you were so different you were inseparable from that first camp day on.
A year later, you realised that you didnât just think of Maya as your bestfriend. She mightâve been your whole world at this point. When you werenât at camp together youâd text or call eachother whenever you could.
You had Maya as your screensaver and laptop backgroup, a photo of the two of you next to your bed. Her Le Tissier England shirt was hung up on your wall. She made you a friendship bracelet with her intials and number on it, a red and white âMLT4â rested on your wrist. Youâd made her one too but messed the colours up, she still wore it though.
You laid down on your bed and looked up at the ceiling, where ofcourse was another photo of the brunette and you, at the first camp England camp.
It was at the Uďżźnder-17 Euros that you confessed your crush on her. Youâd just been eliminated. You had to go home. You had to go home, text or call Maya everyday pretending you were fine with just being friends and after six weeks you got to see eachother again and youâd do it all over again.
It was silent on the way back to the hotel. You didnât say anything, she didnât say anything. The team got out of the bus and most of the girls headed to their room.
You didnât. You walked towards a wooden bench outside and sat down. The bench made a little sound when you sat down. The sun had long gone down and you could only think about what you couldâve done better. You couldâve passed to one of your teammates and maybe they wouldâve scored.
You heard the bench make that same sound again when Maya sat down beside you. Frowning you looked up at her. The defender looked you in your eyes and sighed.
âI know itâs not the end of the world but it certainly feels like it. I mean how did we let them score that first one? I had to do better-â she rambled like she always did. Normally youâd let her but not today. âMaya, i couldâve scored. Donât go and blame yourself. Just like you said, itâs not the end of the world, weâre gonna be alright.â you cut her off.
She looked at you again placed her and on top of yours. âAlso.. i like you Maya. Not as teammates or friends. I kind of love you, you know.â you blurted out without thinking.
Maya had to stiffle her laughter and bit her cheek. You looked up again, confused by the silence. âWhy arenât you saying anything, please say something.â you said, sounding a bit stressed.
âY/n, thatâs the most youâve ever said to me in one time.â she laughed. You looked away with a red face. âY/n i love you as a teammate and a friend but iâd love you even more as my girlfriend.â she said taking you by surprise.
Maya took your chin in her hands and turned your head towards hers. âIâd like to kiss you now.â she whispered softly, leaning in you kissed her. It was soft, passionate and sweet, just like her.
The two of you were girlfriends by the time the Under-19 World Cup was happening. Now that youâd both got scouted by the red side of Manchester you started living together. It wasnât a big appartement since your parents money was still the biggest part of your income.
Mayaâs dad drove you and your lover to the airport since you had to fly to Spain where the tournament was held.

The tournament went well. Maya asked you to give the girls another chance and youâd do anything for Maya so ofcourse you did. You liked Mayaâs company better but this was fine too. Some of the girls were quite funny.
When you were eating dinner with some of the girls you got the best idea. Biking around for a bit in the dark and maybe even swimming in some lake would be fun. You proposed the idea to a few of the girl and they were in. But something was in the way of this brilliant plan. The staff probably wouldnât let you go so you needed to do it in secret.
You asked the girls to meet you by the bikes at 8.
You were waiting with Maya when some of the girls joined you. The sun was going down but it was still warm since it was June and you were in Spain.

After the World Cup, where England got second, The Netherlands winning, Maya took you camping. Maya had told you all about her camping adventures with her family.
Camping in France had been a tradition in your lovers family. Every year theyâd go and camp for atleast one week. Maya loved her family so she was beyond excited to take you camping with them.

Even after the World Cup, when you both got into the Senior England team you loved to travel together. Maya got to make her debut while you still had to wait. It was okay because you knew she deserved it.
At Manchester United the both of you were regular starters. When you got a professional contract for the senior team you bought your lover and yourself your own (tiny) house. It didnât matter that it wasnât big. You got your own space, a little home for the both of you.
When the big home Euros arrived, Maya was called up. You werenât. Ofcourse you were heartbroken but that only made you work harder, wanting to get where your lover got.
Every England game you were sat in the stands, watching your girl play for her country.

When Maya won the Euros you screamed your lungs out. The usual quiet introvert left your body and you went crazy. Your Maya had brought it home.
When it had all sank in you got on your plane to your planned vacation. It was perfect. It was sunny and sandy and there were restaurants and little shops everywhere.

Only here would you find writing about halloween on Christmas eve. (It just happened to fit with the timeline ok.)
- The next day -
The away game against everton ended comfortably at a 3-0 win
Now on the coach home you looked over to Maya who was looking through emails for the 5th time today.
âI donât think theyâll accept our offer in a dayâ. You laughed.
âI know iâm just too impatientâ.
âThey said theyâll let us know soon so iâm sure we can manage for a few more daysâ.
âI guess soâ. She smiled.
- An hour later -
As soon as you entered Mayaâs house placing your bags to the side you noticed a fresh scent coming from somewhere.
Walking into the kitchen you looked around and noticed a fresh set of flowers sitting on the counter top and there was a note next to it.
âWhatâs this?â. You asked.
âI guess youâll have to find outâ. She replied with a smile.
â Dear y/n,
I know iâm not perfect and I feel terrible for getting mad at you lately when you donât deserve it, not even one bit.
Iâll try and do better, be a better girlfriend for you, always be there for you no matter what because I love you deeply, more than anyone in the world. ( ok maybe tied with Mocha. )
This is a small gift for now, but there will be many more to come, so I hope you forgive me. You are the reason why I can get up in the morning. You are the reason I can get on any football pitch no matter the opposition and be filled with confidence knowing you are by my side.
Thank you for putting up with me, I donât know what I would do without you.
Love from Maya x â
âOh my God Maya this is beautiful, thank you!â. You said turning towards her and instantly bringing her into a hug holding her tightly.
She wrapped her arms around your lower back. âNo problem, you deserve the worldâ.
âYouâre the best girlfriend ever, you donât need to apologiseâ. You said, softly kissing her neck, your bodies still pressed together.
âI felt like I had toâ. She replied rubbing your back and slightly pulling away, now looking deeply into your eyes.
âLike iâve said before, I forgive you 100%â.
âThanksâ. She smiled.
âYouâre welcome softieâ. You joked.
âUghh iâm not a softieâ. Maya exclaimed.
âYes you areâ. You chuckled.
âNoâ. She shook her head.
âProve it thenâ.
âI do every time I step on the pitchâ.
âNot good enough softieâ.
âDo you want me to really prove itâ. She said holding your hips, slightly towering over you.
âSure but it wonât change my mindâ.
âWeâll see about thatâ. She replied slowly walking towards you, making you walk backwards until shortly you hit the counter.
You chuckled at her finding it difficult not to smile, enjoying teasing her too much. This led to Maya trying to keep a straight face as much as she could, but eventually it was impossible due to the way you were looking back at her.
She started giggling uncontrollably, leaning over your shoulder in an attempt to hide her face.
âSeeâ. You laughed, placing a hand on her cheek moving her face back so you could see her fully again.
âI-I..Iâm notâ. stumbling with her words, her face still saying the opposite.
âItâs okay, lots of people areâ. You rubbed her back.
She then attempted to compose herself, trying to pull a serious face. âIâll prove it nowâ.
âGo on thenâ. You smirked.
Gripping your thighs tightly she pulled them around her waist and sat you on the counter. Her body then edging tighter onto you so that you were soon lay horizontal and she was straddling you. With ease she ripped apart your shirt as it was only cotton and she knew it didnât carry any sediment to you.
âYouâre going to have to buy me a new one now softieâ.
She smirked shaking her head.
Leaning down towards you she placed strong kisses on your neck and her hands had a strong grip on your body.
Suddenly she brought her mouth onto yours and kissed you so strongly your head slightly banged against the hard counter.
âAhhhâ. You said through the kiss.
This made her pull away instantly.
âoh sorry, you okay?â. She asked worriedly, her hand now moving to the back of your head.
âYeh, yeh iâm alright softie, but it wouldnât be ideal having to explain to everyone how I got concussed againâ. You chuckled.
âI know, my badâ. She said getting off the counter now by the side you, her hand still holding your head.
Slowly you sat up to face her and held onto her hands. âItâs okay, donât worryâ.
She helped you down and wrapped her arms around you kissing your head.
âOkay maybe I am a softieâ. She chuckled looking back at you.
âYouâve finally realisedâ. You smirked, holding onto her hips. âbut maybe iâm notâ.
- The next day -
Today it was halloween but unfortunately training was still on.
Mary came over to you when she realised Maya wasnât next to you, which nowadays is usually never.
âFancy scaring your girlfriend for a tiktokâ. She said, as Maya had left the room only to get the granola bars she had left in her bag. You reckon that Maya would happily live off them if she could.
âOf courseâ. You smirked.
She handed you a ghost mask and told you your position from behind the door and she found a way to get a perfect shot of it all.
âWow this is scaryâ. You said holding the mask.
âQuick put it onâ.
Shortly you heard Maya walking back down the corridor, you heard the crinkling from the wrappers before you even saw her.
She was getting closer and closer until suddenly you leaped from behind the door. âBOOâ. You shouted reaching your arms out towards her.
âAHHHâ She yelled dropping all her granola bars on the floor.
You and Mary burst out laughing as she moved her phone in Mayaâs face.
âI knew it was going to happen as well, I saw you for a split second behind the doorâ. Maya giggled, trying to hide her flushed face.
âUghh Maya save some granola for the rest of usâ. Mary joked.
Maya laughed and bent down to start picking them up.
You got down to help her as well, still with the ghost mask on.
She then reached over and pulled the the mask of you. âahhhâ. She joked âthereâs the real ghostâ.
âWowwwâ. You laughed âI guess my ghostly hands wonât be able to hold these thenâ. You said, dropping the bars back on the floor.
âAww iâm only joking, come hereâ. She replied stuffing the granola in her pockets before wrapping her arms around you making you falling back to the floor.
âOk iâll think weâll end it hereâ. Mary said, quickly stopping the video and leaving back to the cafe.
You laughed kissing Mayaâs head, now feeling her heartbeat pumping against your chest.
âI really got you goodâ.
âYes you didâ. She chuckled, getting off you and holding out a hand for you. After you stood back up she bent down for the mask and put it over her head. âDonât worry, I will get my revengeâ.
You placed a kiss on the mouth of the mask and started walking out the room. She then pulled the mask off and followed after you.
âYou missedâ. She called out.
âIf youâre good, maybe I wonât next timeâ.
As soon as you both entered the cafe most of the team were looking at you. You sat down next to Millie, Lessi and Ella.
âWhat?â. You asked after a minute of constant looks.
âWhy are both of your hairs messy?â. Ella asked then looked at Russo with a sly smile.
âOh I had to put a stupid ghost mask on for Maryâs tiktok to scare Mayaâ. You replied, quickly redoing your ponytail.
âOh did she nowâ. Mille said sounding like she didnât believe you.
âYes she did, and made me drop all my granola barsâ. Maya said, still slightly upset by it.
âTheyâre in wrappers theyâll be fine. If you really want iâll buy you some new onesâ. You replied with a smile. âactually you owe me a new shirtâ.
âOh yeahâ. Maya said nervously, trying to avoid eye contact with the others.
âHow come?â. Lessi asked.
âOh um, I just spilt something on it and it stainedâ. she lied. You smirked back at her finding her reaction amusing. She obviously wasnât going to admit 24hours ago she was ripping that shirt straight from your body.
- A few hours later -
You were holding hands with Maya walking around the park with Mocha as usual, except this time there was kids dressed up in halloween costumes playing on the swings. You noticed Maya looked over and slightly chuckled at them.
âHave you thought about ever wanting kids?â. You asked. This slightly caught her off guard.
âOh um I donât know really, iâm still twenty so anything could happenâ. She replied, giving you a smile but then it started to fade.
âYeah I know, sorry It just came to mindâ. You replied squeezing her hand.
âItâs fineâ. She said nodding her head, giving you a small smile.
-
âDinners readyâ. You called out to Maya who was in the lounge.
You poured yourself and her a drink and noticed you still hadnât got a reply from her.
âMaya?â.
After a few more seconds you assumed maybe she didnât hear you because of the tv.
Picking up her bowl and her drink you carried it to the lounge. When you entered you noticed she wasnât there, only Mocha was on the couch where Maya was the last time you looked.
Confused you turned back around to the kitchen but as soon as you did you noticed a figure jump out from behind the wall.
âAHHHâ. You screamed dropping the glass, watching it smash into tiny pieces, but luckily you managed to save the bowl of food.
You heard giggling from behind the ghost mask.
âMaya you gave me a heart attackâ. You said laughing at how naive you were, reaching to the side to put the bowl down before you drop that as well.
âI told you I would get revengeâ. She said slightly muffled. You pulled the mask off her revealing her face that was red from laughing.
You jumped on her but as you did your foot got caught in a shard of glass.
âAhhhâ. You winced, noticing blood pooling your sock.
Maya quickly carried you back to the lounge and lay you on the couch then went back to the kitchen. She soon came back with some bandages and helped you treat your cut.
âIâm sorry about thisâ. She sighed.
âItâs not your faultâ.
âBut I made you drop the glass in the first placeâ.
You shook your head. âbut I did warn you earlier, youâll only get kisses if youâre goodâ. You joked.
âI guess thatâs validâ. She replied disheartened, wrapping the bandage around your foot.
You chuckled at her face, but softly kissed her lips. âGo and get my dinner then before it goes coldâ.
âFineâ. She giggled, now with a big smile across her face.

Sorry this chapter might seem kinda all over the place I just wanted to write as much as I could as soon as possible before Christmas for all of you. I hope everyone has a great Christmas. đŤś
