My Drone Business

In the year of 2020, before the world went into a worldwide pandemic, I started my own drone business. I decided this in 2019 when I first started researching drones, becoming interested in the technology. After my resaerch I got a job at a DJI store in Mississauga, they were a company that sells and repairs drones/handheld gimbals. During my time there I learned a lot about the technology behind the drone and more technical knowledge about them like camera specs, flight time, weight etc. This was only a 3 month contarct position but it geared me to start my own business. I purchased my own drone in 2020 before I started my business. I began shooting natural landscapes mainly, which I still try to do during the winter months. I have filmed for a roofing company and a car dealership, in addition I am trying to get into get footage for golf courses. I have already recently filmed one this winter and it was a lot of fun. I have never seen the course from that perspective before, it was awesome! I am going to keep make my business a success going forward.

Starting with Why

Over the year of 2020, I read many good books but there is one book that I read which I really resonated with. This book is called Start with Why by Simon Sinek and talks about the importance of starting with why you do something. He explains about his concept of the giolden circle, which has why in the middle, then how and then what on the outside. He constanly uses Apple has an example to support his points throghout his book, which helps in understading the message he is trying to get across to his readers. Apple effectivley uses the golden circle to become one of the most successful companies ever. They start with why you do it "their purpose" how they do it,

and then what they do. People buy why you do it, dont buy what you do.

Communication Strategies

Hello all,

I am writing to you here today to discuss various communication startegies to learn how to communicate effectivley with other people.

Heres a list of strategies:

Focus on the issue, not the person Be genuine rather than manipulative Empathize rather than remain detached Be flexible towards others Value yourself and your own experiences Use affirming response

Establish the correct tone for your message

Make sure body posture and movements are used to help convey a more powerful message. Practice your listening abilties by focusing on a converstaion you are having with people. Listening is a crtical and overlooked communication skill and being a good listneer means your preparing yourself to be better communicator overall.

About Me

I am a 27 year old Canadian guy who is an avid learner in relevant and interesting topics. I am passionate about protecting and preserving our beauitful natural environment from human cause. Our world puts a lot of strain on the natural world and causes; deforesttaion, habitat degradation, loss of species, climate change etc. There are a lot more to mention but I will just stick to those for now. I am active as well, I enjoy being and doing outdoor physical activities. I really enjoy hockey, basektball, tennis, golf and working out.
