I’m closer to 30 than I am 20, yet I have never been more lost...

But I smile because it’s easier to smile than explain people why you are not happy.

I’m not sad... I’m just not happy... it’s a state that you can’t easily explain....

When people ask how are you, most of them expect simple one-word answer like “fine” or “good”.... or maybe some genuinely wonder how you are doing but then they often follow up with pity looks or start trying to fix you somehow by offering unasked opinions and advices that most of the times are meant well but also very insensitive and condescending...

Someone said I’m just homesick... Again, I just smile not having the energy or will to agree or disagree...

Truth is I don’t know what home is anymore. Yeah, yeah I know they say home is where the heart is yada yada... the same old cliche...

What if your heart is numb and feels very much just like a black hole... like it’s not even with you or anyone else for that matter... it’s just simply lost!

Maybe part of adulthood is forgetting everything that made you whole...
