Thinking about how children of Poseidon will always be stronger, have more range than any other big three child.
Like Zeus's domain is mainly in the sky. He's about order. Law. Lightning. Wind. He gets storms as a side product of lightning and wind. But he has control over those; he can make them gentle just as he can make them destructive.
Hades is the dead. His domain is over souls, over the minerals and riches and the fallen mortals, monsters and everything that lies in rest in the earth. He's all about justice for the dead. He doesn't show off his power nearly as much as his brothers because he's more of a judge and overseer than a raging, wrathful god.
But Poseidon? Yes, his domain is the sea but he is so much more. He is also the storm bringer and the earthshaker. He has chaotic power over his brother's primary domains. You'd think that Zeus would be the storm bringer cause he has lightning? No. It's Poseidon. You'd think that Hades would be the earthshaker because the depth of the earth and the underworld is his domain. No. Its Poseidon. And those particular powers that Poseidon has in his brother's domains are not neutral or calm. They are powers of destruction and deadly force. It is not in a storm's nature to be gentle, nor is it in a earthquakes nature to be gentle. Poseidon's powers are predisposed to chaos. (Chaos, the strongest and first of the primordial gods).
And then on top of that, Poseidon has domain over the sea. The sea, which we know even less than our own solar system. Everything from the depth of the sea to the shallow waters. The waves, the creatures within, the monsters within. They're all Poseidon's.
What did Percy say in tlo again? "Kronos knows Poseidon can tip the scales against Typhon?"
Not Zeus, not Hades, not any of the other Olympians or gods. Poseidon.
Yeah.
Poseidon is the strongest Olympian god, and Percy is the strongest demigod and it's not even close.

Really shows how fandoms are welcome to change, as long as it's GOOD change, considering how different the amusement park scene was in the show vs the books. It's nowhere close to the book scene but we are all FOAMING at the mouth over it. It's not change that makes a movie adaptation bad, it's the way you handle it and the way you show complex character arcs that can't be shown on a screen the way it can be on a page

something about Hephaestus saying "you're a good kid, Annabeth" really stands out to me. he didn't point out the very obvious about her, like her intellect and interest in his creations, or her hubris in thinking she could dismantle the chair. he said that she's a good kid. because Hephaestus was mistreated by the gods. because Annabeth was shunned by Athena. because he believes that gods shouldn't treat their own children like that and he wants to be better. because he knows how much it means to a little girl who's fought for approval from her own mother her whole life, whose father neglected her. because he wants to break the cycle. don't touch me

Kelli: Take Percy Jackson to the arena, I’m sure he’d love to meet his brother
Percy: Tyson?
Kelli:
Kelli: Need I remind you that your father is a whore

I hate the way the Greek campers were viewed in hoo like these literal kids who made up a grand total of 40 (maybe 100 max with hunters + party ponies + satyrs) defeated an army that consisted of hundreds possibly thousands of monsters on their own including a couple of rouge titans and Kronos who was their leader. And won. Don’t get me wrong the Romans destroyed the Palace and all which was probably filled with their remaining resources but there were hundreds of them including adults who had retired after a decade of experience. And the army they fought was probably smaller cause everyone was off at New York in the main fight so give the Greek campers their due respect cause not only did they win, they pulled off the impossible

freddie mercury wrote songs about love and loss and sex and religion and life and death and fairies and ogres and the imaginary world he and his sister made up when they were kids and and the very real world of being a touring rock musician and some of his lyrics were pure poetry and some were utter nonsense and plenty were both at the same time and he gave these songs to the world with no explanation and said “if you see it, darling, then it’s there”

*hitting you with a stick* no benoit blanc movies should not interact. they should not lead up to something. you need to detox from the marvel/sherlock bbc poisoning. they should be completely independent movies (maybe w some cameos/little references for fun) and go on for as long as there are stories rian johnson wants to tell in this universe. i do not want an overarching plot i do not want a team up i dont want a benoit-focused prequel i want some good old fashioned episodic murder mysteries that have nothing to do with each other!!!!!!!!!!! also rian johnson has literally said he's not gonna do a prequel and he wants the movies to all stand on their own

god the jealousy i feel observing some people’s existence’s is insane. it’s not even as if making my life look vaguely like theirs would work because that’s not what i’m envious of, i’m envious that they were born as who they are in the first place. and it’s never just one sole aspect of their lives that i crave either - like their money or their beauty, or the friendship and love they experience in abundance. it’s the whole picture, the whole fact of their being. they got so lucky. they’re right in every way that i am wrong. knowing i will never get to access the world through that lens no matter what i do is what gets me. it’s so limiting to be just one person, and it’s so suffocating to be me in particular

Hot take but Cinderella doesn’t teach girls that they “need a man to save them”, she teaches everyone (including boys) that it’s okay if you need help from others. The prince doesn’t help Cinderella, the fairy godmother does. The scene where the fairy godmother gives Cinderella her iconic makeover can be interpreted as a metaphor of women helping other women.
Not only that but never once does Cinderella ask for help. She didn’t ask the mice and birds to make her dress; they did that without obligation because they love her. She didn’t ask her fairy godmother to give her a new dress and a form of transportation to the ball; the fairy godmother did that to reward Cinderella for her kindness and faith when she was at her lowest point. She didn’t ask Jaq and Gus to retrieve the key from her stepmother after she was locked in her room; they did that of their own volition so she would be freed from her abusive stepfamily.
In fact, the only time Cinderella does ask for help is when she tells the birds to get Bruno, not to save her, but to save Gus because Lucifer was preventing him from unlocking her door, and probably would’ve eaten him too if she hadn’t remembered that Bruno hates Lucifer.
It’s one thing if Cinderella isn’t your favorite princess, it’s another to hate her for the way her story was misinterpreted by misogyny and victim blaming.
