I wonder will there be more queens like that anon said there are ant species that have multiple queens

Which would be a nice idea for malice free gibdo queen as we see the malice ones being solitary and animal like minded

but the malice free ones like Keene aren’t showing how she handled cross’s cleansing, and explaining to Riju that Keene didn’t kill her mother but was there when it happened (has flash back to mlp:fim showing thorax’s backstory how he was apart of invasion but didn’t attack a soul or was hostile just was forced to be there)

Malice free queens seem to have a more gentle nature motherly nature

Keene strikes me as a kangaskan is sweet and kinda but mess with her or her allies she will make your regret touching her friends or hive

KEENE IS ABSOLUTELY A KANGASKAN YES

But you'll see next week, Keene was still under the Malice when the infamous swarm happened but was put in a more passive role. Keene very much had that same hatred as any other Malice-infested monster, which is why wei specifically says "Does that make it any better? That I was not the specific Gibdo to take the life of your own? No."

I plan on fully exploring how Keene went from Moth Gibdo to Queen in the events between the eventful swarm that killed Riju's mom to the story-present :)

But I feel like the monster therapist Lettie will have her hands full with recksin and cross

“Starts to laugh” imagine if they find a way to make a teleport by the hive and cross takes Lettie there and it’s holding Lettie up like a toy showing its mother Keene the one that has the title: the monsters emotional support granny

Cross: heard Keene is stress brought granny to help make better

Lettie and Keene: cross…. ^^, “don’t know either to be mad or not as it’s gibdo nature to help others in their hive or honorary members of the hive and cross was just following that instinct”

God I can imagine Lettie being like

"You have HOW many children?! Hylia bless you, I stopped at one."

Alright so I love the drama in this chapter, it’s a major upgrade to the melancholy of the last two chapters (which were good but were lacking a bit in the drama and angst).

I love how Rezek uses magic to communicate with Keene and how Rezek revealed to them how they have magic which is an interesting take on how the Gibdo fly.

Also I’m really excited for next chapter and to see the full story of how Rijus mom got ganked.

YESSSS THANK YOU honestly that part is one of those plot points that just came to me like "you made Gibdo magic-based what if they had control of the wind" and I had to throw it in my notes app before I forgot kjhasdf

And I loved writing that part because it was both fun to come up with non-conventional ways of characters breaking the language barrier to speak with each other, and great setup for later plot points heehee

I haven't had Cross and Rezek interact alone, but I cannot WAIT to play around with the concept that the two can talk to each other without anyone else listening in

Riju, screaming in her head: is it just her or nursery drones helping?! Some insects have multiple queens, how does she do it if it’s just her?! Now that I think about it how the grubs are and purr I wanna hold one now….

Buliara, in her head: she has a male harem 0/////0

(Note some ant species do have multiple queens in one hive or maybe in the gibdo’s case broodmothers drones/workers that will lay eggs if the queen is unable too (sick or weak) as once again the queen seems to join battles so if the queen is lost then it’s the broodmothers job to keep laying eggs till the princess of the hive is of age or a grub is fed royal jelly)

And yea we also see that there's not just one Gibdo queen in ToTK looking at all of them in the depths. Although I just chalk that up to "they wanted you to rematch bosses but with the gloom effect"

In this hive specifically Keene is the only queen/chuvayze because they're such a small group

So seems cross might be joining the akkala lab because it and the queen don’t want the brood to smell blood and etc? It kinda makes sense.

Or what’s going to happen to our gibdo boi the queen seems rather chill and doesn’t seem to be banishing him permanently just temporary basically time out or forcing cross to learn something

Also we have yet to meet the gibdo princess you were talking about Zelda and Riju having as a friend

Not a permanent banishing! Just giving kei some time to heal away from the hive. Since Keene knows that the Buzzards will take care of Cross, wei is able to make that decision without feeling like it's an actual punishment.

And in terms of actual "princess" think of this more like insect hierarchy than real-life royalty. Of course I'm gonna take some liberties with how new Gibdo Queens are made compared to real-life bee/termite queens.

But just as a little teaser for next chapter, technically speaking all Moth Gibdo could be classified as "princess" if we're extrapolating how Hylians view Queens and Princesses to how Gibdo hierarchy works.

Keep in mind ALL of this is shit I'm making up because Nintendo sure didn't come up with anything regarding Gibdo hive structure hlkjadsf

Did Keene heal cross? I’m confused with that whole section

More of a "cleansing" than an actual heal. Keene basically helped remove at least some of the residual smell/vibe of death from Cross. I wanted that part to be a little more vague and nebulous

I think rezek should be allowed to bitch slap someone as hard as it possibly can. as a treat. also because it would be funny if it dropped the magic mid fight and just backhanded whoever it was fighting so hard the slap reverberates off the walls for like a mile

It absolutely should've bitch-slapped Khini after the whole Akkala Lab Incident Arc.

But also the idea of it just pulling out the dukes mid-fight is so funny to me just like

"These hands are rated E for Everyone"

It also satisfies my FAVORITE shit in fiction which is "two characters are disarmed mid-fight and just immediately resort to punching each other's lights out"

Ok something I can’t help but giggle about but wish the TOTK devs gave us:

You know how we got the muddlebud and dazzle fruit and puffshrooms: three things that can mess with the enemy

But we are given oil in game and now I got wondering….~

Monsters vs slippery floors or hills or icy areas

I can see those with good grip but it’s just a funny thing as imagine Zayl drops some oil or Robbie left some oil from a machine out and it ends up on the floor and the reactions of the monster oc’s slipping around or trying to gain balance

I was abit sad we didn’t see Kobb vs ice when it was in the hebra area ^^,

Pffff that would've been comical

ToTK and BoTW is very much a looney-toons-ass physics game so having something that trips monsters would've been a great addition

It is interesting to think that the monsters have never really dealt with slippery surfaces other than mud. So I can imagine seeing a glassy surface and thinking its safe only to fall on their ass would be a recurring theme with all of them except Rezek who just laughs hjlkafdsfh

While we didn't see Kobb slip on any ice while over in Hebra we did get the next best thing: it falling into a lake several times and climbing out like a wet cat after failing to paraglide LMAO

I think is pissed off a yiga member while playing TotK, I found some horriblins and was wearing their mask and lured them out of their cave all the sudden I see the yiga teleport symbols behind one of the horriblins and quickly warped out as the yiga would have gave away I wasn’t a horriblin

That poor yiga probably warping in just as I left and had to deal with 2 confused horriblins

God that's so funny now I'm imagining the "It's a Monster House!" music from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon playing as the Yiga sees the Horriblins on the ceiling

First off I just wanna say that I’m happy that we know Zayls snails are ok now, like no other reason just happy :)

Also I love the scene with Ames and Recksin where Recksin is struggling with the idea that he needs to be punished for what he did which is enhanced by the Malice telling him he would be punished if he failed in his flashback but Ames lets him know that he shouldn’t feel responsible since it wasn’t necessarily his fault.

Also the Gerudo gang is finally gonna find out about Frifer, cannot wait for next chapter.

Thank you!! I thought it'd be a nice callback to show Zayl's snails again (especially since it lost its own tail trying getting them to Akkala) and thought it'd be a nice parallel between itself and Recksin.
