Spider-tailed vipers are pretty incredible!

Lots of vipers have tails that mimic the coloration of caterpillars and worms when they’re little to lure prey, but the spider-tailed viper really takes that trick to a whole new level. They can even move the spider-shaped lure on their tails in ways that are very similar to actual spiders! The lure helps attract birds, which are their favorite prey.
