HELLO i've been gone for so long but it warms my heart to see more new people interacting with my posts.
it's been a while since i've done anything bbb, i could say i didn't have the time but honestly that's not exactly the case either.
i still have 2 new volumes wrapped up and ready for me to read but i just haven't found the motivation. my main purpose for reading the manga was to see shu and valt's arc and if the manga gave a better explanation, which i'm done with, so i just haven't felt like moving on from that part.
while i know that i want to finish what i started someday, especially since i've heard that the manga's plot diverges from the anime and it would be interesting to see how it goes, i'm still waiting for the right time until i actually feel like doing it.
so yeah, this is just a bit of a rant!
i hope that i can randomly come back after a few months like this again and share some scenes that i liked in the manga.
finger crossed!

alright so i've finished up valt's arc in the manga!
just as i had expected and hoped for, shu's character arc seems more complete. post-finals, ashtem (all my homies hate ashtem) calls shu over and says that he can only leave the snake pit for good if he defeats norman tarver (this is the one and only place he appears in the manga).
during the battle, shu thinks about how he was actually jealous of valt and how he was able to improve so much in such a short time due to his attitude towards beyblade and how it drew the people around him to valt. shu knew that that was something he couldn't do, so he resorted to the only way he thought he could grow stronger, which was to 'turn into a monster'.
right after this, he recalls how at the very beginning (even before season 1, around the time shu had just gotten his bey, after valt had), they would just have fun trying to win each other, and thinks how wrong he was. he realises that he could have just improved by having fun in beybattles, just like what valt did.
anyways of course spriggan is op and instantly defeats norman lol but thats not even the point of the chapter right.
i'm so glad we managed to hear more from shu about what happened. in the anime, it seemed like it was purely ashtem's doing, which is definitely true, but there had to be a vulnerable part of shu for ashtem to exploit in the first place, which is his jealousy and negative emotions(especially breaking his promise to valt) that he didn't know how to deal with. i felt that this part was kind of vague in the anime, but tbh its not like they didn't do anything good either. the entire part with everyone wanting to try shu's carbonara but how he let valt cook instead (ADORABLE PLS HELP) is like entirely original and that part was really wholesome so :D
p.s. red eye did not ruin kensuke's puppets in the manga. they were just being cruel to us with that one :(

HI ITS BEEN A BILLION YEARS
honestly since burst has officially ended i didn't know what to do with this blog so i just left it alone for a bit lol
but in the meantime i've actually been collecting the manga slowly to relive the story again. also because i know that the anime actually diverges quite a but from the manga, so it'll be nice to see what other different plots the manga introduces.
but one of the main reasons i picked it up was because i really wanted to see what the manga did with shu's red eye arc and valt and shu's making up afterwards. it always felt too sudden for me in the anime, and that we didn't really get to hear much about shu's thoughts after valt beat him.
i'm finally reading through the final bits of this arc now, and i do plan on making a comparison once i'm done, so stay tuned for that!

never have i imagined that valt would make such a smug face lmao, while he has matured over the seasons when he talks to his friends in s1 (beyclub!!) you can still see parts of his personality we all fell in love with pardon me while i go and cry in a corner.
also this is from the ep where rantaro and valt and shu and lean face off! yes its the one where valt and shu face off and do their rush shoot and counter break like old time i was smiling so wide the entire few minutes man, you could literally feel the intensity from the screen and there were points where the entire stadium just went quiet i think? everyone knows how legendary this is lmao.
but the one that was most affected by this was lean LOL man was sweating as hard as valt and shu at the end, i believe this is when he starts understanding more about what he's missing and why he can't feel the same thrill from beyblading as the others (mainly hikaru and hyuga who also have the same kind of flare as him, but it shines✨, i think thats just the anime's way of showing their's is more positive and healthy). loved how intense the whole battle was and our best boy valt ended it off by saying "this is how we beyblade!" to lean ugh they shoulda just done this from the beginning man why wait 48 eps for valt and shu to battle epically.
also i noticed that they used the same monochrome design for the animation when valt and shu were battling, as they did for the world championship in s2 for valt vs red eye (p a i n) i wonder what that means? (again, probably p a i n)
also a nice touch to have valt and shu's bey spin and slightly push each other as they lost stamina at the end hehe very cute.

i just watched ep 41 and got literal chills again ugh, probably one of the best eps of the season because it offers so much even beyond the crazy good bey battle we get between free and sisco and lui and drum
the ep starts of with sisco scaring the asahi brothers into stop wasting their time fighting lol my first thought was that damn thats so in sisco's character he says the right shit without holding back lol, but looks like im proven wrong later on in the ep lol
then its drum and lui discussing their tactics for the battle! these two get along well and i think we all enjoy it coz its kinda unexpected? lui like this angry short stack lmao while drum's this wholesome cinnamon roll but i realise what brings them together is the intense way they deal things related to blading HAHA like please lui for real sent a heli after drum and brought him back to the his island JUST to ask him to team up LOL that was too much for me. my personal favourite was when lui squatted down to talk to drum lol like please would the?? shirasagijo?? lui?? squat down to talk to anyone? nah man i dont see it. but its really these little details throughout the show that shows us glimpses of how the legends that we use to follow so fervently in the previous season have changed and grown, just found it rlly sweet.
Tumblr media
and then comes sisco and free talking while they ride the lift to go to the stadium. sisco opens first with saying "that was kinda out of character for me" which had me thinking wait isn't it actually like you?? but then i realised that i think evo sisco wouldn't even have bothered to talk to the asahi brothers, and he was actually helping them out in his own way, which was really cute haha. then he goes on to say that he didn't expect them to grow so much and that he was looking forward to battling them. when he asks free whether he felt the same free just went "hmm maybe, maybe not" (ISTG THIS CLOWN🤡🤡) and sisco laughed and went "acting all cool as per usual eh" UGH so nostalgic i can't take it
AND THEN the actual epic battle comes and the animation was great, they really know when to do it right. the way lui and free use the same lines against each other gave me chills man i'm really happy they explored their rivalry from evo more in sparking, from pairing them up together in the legend festival and stating that they were a legendary pair up, to making them face off against each other now, all their moments really delivered.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
CHILLS MAN CHILLS
i actually didn't remember who had won this one and to me i realised it doesn't really sit well with me if either free or lui won, because their rivalry is so neck to neck i couldn't even imagine any of them winning. and i was right thankfully, because they knock each other out of the stadium at the same time, (they showed the audience watching with anticipation in slo-mo right before the beys touch the floor simultaneously, i was literally at the edge of my seat ahhh) with satan still standing after they do so, slowly coming to a stop. so glad to see sisco win after his entire arc earlier in the season.
Tumblr media
and finally we have the lead up to the asahi brothers vs rantaro and valt (ok side note but i finally figured out why it felt so weird typing out rantaro i realised no one uses his name in the show HAHA its always kumicho, also this season is just an excuse to give us the most epic battles of all time lol i remember in the previous set of match ups when it was valt and rantaro vs lui and drum at the end it was just lui and valt facing each other which gave me deja vu of the nationals back in s1 :') but surprisingly they didn't put much emphasis on this one as compared to other legendary face offs, hmm i wonder whyy, do yall got any idea?)
OK that was way off tangent but tbh they didn't really start that battle this ep and i didn't watch 42 yet so i don't have much to say, except for how pumped rantaro was for the match, he even said that he was the most pumped amongst all of them and the bombers was like shookt about how hyped he was, sisco even called him an idiot for grinning so much LMAO (but sisco was also smilling ur ass of when u were saying that hMMmMm) can't wait to see how that battle goes because i have short term memory and forgot who won👌
anyways thats my review of sparking ep41! when i was looking through my posts around the end of last year and realised i said i would analyse this i thought nahh i probably won't be watching that ep anytime soon, so i'm really glad i did! and since this is probably my longest post(or maybe the one on rantaro that i posted recently now that i look at it, but these two are def my longest) i wanna thank yall for reading through my stuff! i'm not sure if yall like this kinda content and honestly i started this blog so i could read through my own favourite moments in bbb, because it's something that's really close to my heart, but i decided to tag it anyways since i realised we don't have content anyways, so i wanted to contribute some myself too? either way, thanks so much for sticking around!
see yall soon!

the bc sol tag match really got me in the feels man :')
(btw this is valt & free vs sisco & rantaro! in case yall forgot because i sure didn't rmbr this match that well)
i'm sure a lot of us have thought about how the side characters in burst always got the short end of the stick due to the main character's development (characters like rantaro, ranjiro, amane and sisco too, although he's kinda different from the other 3 here i feel). like more of how they don't shine as much because the mcs and those who are obviously strong/naturally talented end up winning more easily
this match really reminded me of that again. although i barely remembered this match happened like a few minutes into the ep i remembered that valt and free won so to see how frustrated sisco was to have had lost to free repeatedly and see valt grow from someone who was worse than him to become world champion was really heart breaking because although he was gonna take this chance to prove himself i already knew he had lost.
it was also touching to see rantaro sacrifice himself to get valt out of the battle, those few moments took me back to burst era and reminded me of how rantaro was always by valt's side as he grew, from helping him win shu in the beigoma regionals to literally stopping himself from bursting into tears when he became world champion. while i know they whole-heartedly cheered valt on, it must be so frustrating too for these two in different ways. when they were practising rantaro said that he wouldn't hold himself back just because sisco had his reasons to beat the two of them, but in the end he did end up leaving it to sisco which just made my heart squeeze ahh( i think i use this too much lol but i really don't know how else to explain how i feel lmao) the episode ends off with hikaru thinking "this is what a battle between legends is like" which made me realise that oh he might have thought that sisco would definitely win that last part of the battle because of how driven he was and how much hard work he had put in all those years to beat free.
and that brings me to the moral of this entire story! i myself have been frustrated so many times when i work harder or spend a lot more time on something but someone who's just naturally talented ends up doing better than me and i'm sure you guys might have too. hard work and being driven doesn't always just automatically get you to where you want. life's just not fair sometimes no matter what and it's always gonna be so soooo frustrating when we're put in that kind of a situation. i'm so glad such a meaningful message was included in bbb and it really made me reflect on myself too! i guess when that kind of stuff happens, our only option is to move forward and try again, because if we don't, it means that there'll definitely be no way we'll reach our goal. no matter how cliche it sounds, trying again is out only best bet.
this season really do be the best to rewatch. i also have an idea of a short analysis for this season! ok not analysis per say but like kind of something i noticed? i was thinking of posting about it soon but i think it'd be most fit to do so after i go through all the episodes haha
see yall again soon! because i have too much to say about the legends festival lol

GUYS HE DID THE THING HE DID THE THINGGGGG
ok but fr they always give shu the most epic intros whethers its cho z or sparking (sorry forgot what happened in db LOL) he always appears at the end of the ep and its unexpected like i've already watched it and know he appears in lui's arc somewhere but i was still shook lol
also lui is so fun to watch this season! ngl when he does his maniac laugh i end up doing it too coz its so funny but laughing like that is so relieving lol i see why he does it. so nice to see his character dev from s1
ALSO not how lui smirks when he sees shu and i noticed the person who mentions his name when he shows up in the screen cap above is not the asahis or rantaro but actually lui and i think he always uses his full name HAHA love their rivalry man

hi i have something to admit
i may or may not have started rewatching sparking 👉👈
and i don't want to be that person but can i just say whenever valt says "yo" it's taking years off my life he's so cute :")
also he's sounds so starstruck whenever he talks abt shu HAHA when he caught hyuga trying to copy hikaru's shooting form he went "it's okay to copy, i also started off by copying shu!"
and then well hyuga went "who's shu" and man literally just did this
Tumblr media
not to mention valt has a closeup photo of shu doing his cool hair thing whenever he wins HAHA even after so many years his admiration for shu has stayed the same thats so adorable
Tumblr media
and these two are adorable too! both sisco and rantaro have mentioned that the asahi brothers are like valt when he was younger and i think it's even more obvious with hyuga. i remember that they got along really well this season can't wait to see those iconic moments again

HELLOOOOO i just finished gachi and firstly i'd like to thank yall for listening to my rambling these past few days lol it's so hearting to see that the burst fandom is still alive HAHA
but to move on to the actual topic, it really made me happy to see gwyn realise how fun blading is and it's beyond like calculating the best way to win or how to take down an opponent, but just having fun in a battle with your friends! so wonderful to see him smile at the end and the contrast when he had said 'i wish i never met you' to drum a couple episodes back and how he says 'i'm glad i met you' at the end was really sweet.
not to forget delta and amane! when i saw rainbow turbo and how our boys are all dressed up in the primary colours rgb makes me realise the storywriters (?, not sure how close this is to the manga) may have planned it from the start HAHA so cute! i'm so glad for the support system they've built, even if delta joined them quite late into the season, from how delta helped amane get out of his slump as he was insecure about how fast drum had grown, to when they were deciding who to send out for the last battle and they just burst out laughing (best moment of the season fight me) and the stupidity of it all and how delta lets drum win the rock paper scissors and lets him face gwyn. the number of times we saw delta smile towards the end of the season when we saw him consumed by his desire to be the only one at the top from the start was such a welcoming change that really warmed my heart.
and i really have no qualms about this season. i'd say the one thing i miss is that we don't really get to see the past gen except for valt and aiga and valt doesn't even battle this time (although he does play a key role in encouraging delta and it was great to see that side of him), but honestly this season was so wholesome even without them that i'll let it pass lol.
and that's a wrap for my rewatch! thank you again for reading my rants lol and i hope to rewatch another season(probably sparking for the legend battles hehehe plus the first 3 seasons are kinda long) soon and talk to you guys about it! burst might have ended but it will always go on in our hearts lol

cursed image for u
ok very very last point here i forgot to make but i love drum so much he's so cute :'')

HELLO i just watched the legendary ep 49 of gachi (the greatest tag battle) and had my mind blown again AHHHHH
the imagery is sooo cool! the way each moment of the battle was shown with all the cool animation and effects (like how delta catches drum when genesis almost pushes dragon out of the stadium but diabolos comes in time to prevent it) is so crazy and it made the battle so good! hehe my personal favourite moment was when delta was looking through all the memories he had of drum as diabolos was passing on its power to dragon.
also can i just mention how irrelevant arthur is at this point lol its kinda funny to a full grown man whine.
and the audio was also great! on top of the music and sound effects, the ending of the episode shook me lol. like drum had just helped up delta and the whole venue was celebrating their win when they suddenly show gwyn and the audio is just cut, with him staring at delta and drum with a ghost-like expression on his face man that was unnerving.
i love love LOVE gachi so much ugh this was peak man and the 3 remaining eps are also equally as good if not better asdjwhdigejsgw so glad i gave this a rewatch
