So, I’m gonna be taking a small mini hiatus, probably in my best interests for a while so I can prepare for school and focus on slugging these last couple weeks of work before that. It’ll also give me time to catch up on the series and come back with a better understanding of my character anyway. But also there’s a couple of things I just wanna break from for now that I feel is necessary. I’ll be starting a new blog in a new fandom to clear my head while I have all my Naruto blogs on Hiatus. He was always away on missions and the most she’s seen him was at the compound or during training. So it was nice that they could spend time together even if it’s just a little bit. She missed him and it excited her when he accepted her request to join her for lunch after his training since it has been awhile since they spend time together.

“W-Well it wasn’t just that I also thought we could hang out together.” She smiled and nodded at him and took a seat beside him on the bench and handed him the other bento box.”It’s nice that we can spend time together like this I missed these days.”

It was true, there was hardly any time in between missions and training for him to actually just take it easy-- Let alone hang out with anyone. He was always taking on every mission that was available to him. It came to his attention after maybe some weeks that he needed to just take some time for himself, interaction and contact with people, rather than just needlessly piling more work onto himself.

He took the bento from Hinata, placed it on his lap and opened it. ‘ I wouldn’t mind at all. Actually, if you would like, I can take the rest of the day and we can do something fun. I don’t mind-- I’m just doing the usual routine stuff at this point. Really, nothing I can’t miss for one day. ‘

He then smirked. ‘ Just to hold me over for a while before I start getting that feeling again. ‘

So far, they had traveled quite a bit. The results should be worth it, he hoped. As the tea house came into his view, he shifted his direction, pushing Shikamaru gently to follow suit.

She nodded at his request, understanding the logic behind the choice without even needing to ask. “You’re in luck,” Sakura informed him, her smile growing slightly as she reached up to tie her hair back. “Solider pills are my specialty.”

Humming she grabbed two bowls and set then side by side, one for her and the other for Neji. “Truly the recipe varies from person to person depending on what they wish to accomplish by eating them… but the base of the recipe stays the same throughout,” she explained.

“I hope you’re not afraid to get your hands a little dirty?” She chuckled. “You can either watch me do it first or follow along… it’s not hard, as you’ve probably guessed. It’s basically cooking.”

‘ Is that right? ‘ He quirked his brow, a smile forming on his own face and gave a slight tilt of his head. ‘ Then I’m looking forward to learning from an expert. ‘

He moved himself over to one of the bowls. Admittedly, he was probably just a little nervous to be doing this. Medical stuff wasn’t his specialty-- But if he could learn something useful to carry over when he’s on missions, like making food pills, then he would be willing to try just about anything. Luckily it would probably go smoothly, just based on what she was saying, anyway.

‘ No, I’m not afraid to get them dirty at all. ‘ He gave her another small smile as he looked back at the bowl. ‘ I think hands on learning might do me some good for this. So I will follow along to the best of my abilities. ‘
