Do you apply an isolation coat on your art?🖌🤔 These layers are super important to protecting your artwork from the final stage; the varnish🎨 Before I varnish my painting, the Hello Kit-Tree, I add an isolation coat so there’s a buffer between the painting and the varnish. If anything happens to the varnish that layer can be removed and the isolation coat will keep the painting safe in that situation!🌳💝🎀

So here’s a quick guide on how to apply an isolation coat:😉

•

1️⃣ Begin by gently cleaning your dried painting with a clean brush to get rid of dust or hairs

2️⃣ Using a soft brush, apply a small amount of isolation coat to your painting. Don't worry if it looks opaque at first – it'll dry clear!

3️⃣ Opt for a soft bristle brush to avoid leaving any pesky brush marks.

4️⃣ If you end up with any excess liquid, brush it off to the side of your painting or onto the lid of the bottle.

5️⃣ Once dry, and using the guide on the back of the bottle, your painting will be ready for the varnish which protects the painting from weather, scratches, and sunlight, ensuring its longevity for years to come.
