The world gets to be too much at times that it’s hard to keep up with. If we’re not careful enough, we become defined by deadlines, hours we’re stuck in traffic, and rushing to places to run errands. It’s hectic, loud, and dizzying, especially for introverts. We encourage you to escape, unwind, and breathe. Psych2Go shares with you 5 reasons why introverts enjoy being alone:

Introverts don’t just enjoy being alone; they require it. According to Dr. Marti Olsen Laney, author of The Introvert Advantage, the biological component that differentiates introverts from extroverts is their sensitivity to dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter in your brain that regulates your pleasure and excitement. Extroverts are stimulated by higher levels of dopamine. Hence, this is why they enjoy sensation-seeking and risk-taking.

Toilet paper pill box.

Another small fun project for recycling! These are perfect for little gifts and a cute way to send your jewelry to customers… it not only give a nice shell of protection to the treasures you put inside, its cost free, customizable and keeps recycling on the mind <3

All you need are - toilet paper rolls - decor ( i used stamps) - Tape or glue

Step one: decorate your roll. I used some of my stamps, but don’t limit yourself to just that… you can use old paper, photographs, tissue paper, paint,sharpie and whatever else you have laying around to decorate. Mod podge and some pattered paper would be fun!

Step two: Once your roll is decorated to your liking, fold down the corners on one end, making it look like little cat ears. Make sure they fold over each other so there is no open gap, and tape down  ( you can also glue the end down) * side note… if you dont like the look of regular tape, they sell something called washi tape? that comes in all sorts of amazing patterns!

-Step three: When you have some side sealed and taped down, wrap and place your item/treasures inside the box ( i wrapped up some earrings) and seal the other end, again making sure they fold over one another so there are no gaps.

- Step four… your done!

Again these are wonderful for gift giving and product packaging. Small, sturdy, cheap, recycled pill boxes…. you can use old paper towel rolls too! those are larger and can fit a bit more than TP rolls.

10 Strengths of Being an Introvert

I have often been intrigued by people who think that loud people are the successful ones. Day in, day out I come across different sorts of people, and all of them believe in talking methods to influence others. They talk like experts in the field… as if they are gurus of life who know everything, can speak on any given subject and have gained life’s wisdom with their experiential knowledge. They believe in the power of their words and tend to think that their words influence their hearers. Most of them that I have met are extroverts of this kind. Extroverts are talkers, and I do agree 100 percent that they do have the power of verbal communication. If their hearers tend, to be introverts like me, they get to mistake my silence or my listening for lack of knowledge or as a person with poor insight. I have often noticed that they are not good listeners and don’t give the introvert an opportunity to talk.

So, in reality, are introverts poor in communication skills or are they not people who can influence others? Absolutely not! Introverts have great strengths of their own. Susan Cain, the international best seller of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking lists on the strengths of introverts.

Ten strengths of being an introvert are:

1. Quiet Temperament

Cain says that introverts have a quiet temperament which is their hidden superpower. I agree with Cain. Just because introverts are not great socializers, it doesn’t make them less powerful publicly…
