My roommate's cat does this adorable little thing only when it's just us two in the apartment where she'll come over to me while I'm working at my desk, stand upright with one paw on my leg and the other stretched up to pat my arm, asking to get picked up. When she's on my lap she looks over my desk, seeing what's changed, and then settles down onto my lap except for when I'm wearing a hoodie because her once claw gets stuck and she just. sits there. staring at her claw. not even trying to free herself.

cats don't even unstick their claws out of things anymore they will just sit there with their claw stuck in a blanket and look at you like this until you unstick it for them
