"Please give me another chance." He begged, as he began to sob. "I don't mean to be cruel, it just happens. When I'm upset I don't think and just start creating chaos. I let out my anger on Sarah, when she doesn't deserve it. I want to be better and do better. I want to be the kind of man, my boy can look up to. I can change. Give me time."

The kids appeared outside a home in the middle of winter. There was an apartment building right behind them.

Jay and Nessa peaked into the window and on the buttom level apartment they saw a mother and son.

Steve's mother held her son in her arms protectively as tears poured down her face. Steve could hear her heart beating fast and he heard her taking deep breaths.

There was furniture broken around them and broken beer bottles were on the floor. From the fit of rage Steve's father had. He didn't hurt them, but he sure as hell scared them both.

Steve hugged his mother's neck.

"Mommy things will be okay." Steve told her, as he wiped her tears with her sleeves. "He's gone."

"Just for the moment." She mumbled.

" Told Daddy Bucky that I applied to and was accepted to shield, he basically wants to break your legs for not talking me out of it."

"Holy shit!" He exclaimed. "Your a crazy one. You are the one with a gun, though, so I will go with you."

The man at the counter looked at her strangely but pointed her in the direction of where she could purchase one. He had learned it was best not to question these things and not get involved.

Joseph sat outside the bar, finishing up his beer. He had bandage over parts of his body to cover up old wounds. The latest were from last night's bar fight. When he was drunk, he would start arguments others about anything and everything. He would come home bloody and his wife would be the one to patch him up and clean his wounds. Today he had threatened the bar tender, which got him kicked out today.

"At shield we should probably try to be more professional towards each other. So I think Agent Rogers would be best. Anywhere else you can still call me Uncle Cap."

He chuckled at her remark.

"Yeah they will be pretty surprised when they hear I said yes. The only other time that I mentored was with Wanda and a little bit with Sam too, but he didn't need much training. They usually ask me to train new recruits but I typically refuse because I'm busy."

"Of course I'm going to mentor you." Steve replied, hugging her. "Your practically my fourth kid. Plus your going to be a hero someday, so you got to get training from the right people."

"Of course.". He then kissed her head. "I will always be there for you. We probably should tell them. I don't think it would effect your training. Peggy got to train Amy when she started at Shield."

He chuckled then smiled with a smirk.

He kissed her cheek. "I will love to be apart of your family."

"Darling, come lay down, you don't have to sleep, just come lay down."

He was having flashbacks again. He was afraid if he shut his eyes he would see it all again. The wars...the fallen shoulders, the people he couldn't save. Yet when he was awake the thoughts entered his mind of what ifs and could've done.

He heard her voice brought him out of his fear. He took a deep breathe and then came over to her. He laid down and held her in his arms like a teddy bear in his arms.

"Ones with nuts in them please!" Steve said excitedly. "And the closest store is on 23rd."

Steve then ran over to Nessa and hugged her.

"Thank you!" Steve said happily.

Jay listened to what Nessa had to say. He knew her well enough to know that once she got an idea in her head, she didn't let it go. What she said made him worry.

"Dont do anything Cap wouldn't do. Okay?" Jay spoke to her. "Let's do the right thing. Remember who we are here for."
