All the people calling shuro “coward” for leaving the dungeon: no!!! i don’t think he is being cowardly at all in any sense. He was making the hard but ultimately right decision for his whole parties sake. he realized he was pushing himself too hard, but more importantly he was making his retainers/family experience horrors and death in the dungeon trying to save falin. Literally risking all their lives. He realized he was doing a disservice to his group and putting them all in danger. In laios’ party they are all there because they want to be in the dungeon, but Toshiro’s retainers are just doing what he wants, he is asking them to go into the dungeon as a personal favor, and realizes he shouldn’t keep endangering them all. I don’t think that’s cowardly, that’s actually very prescient of him and caring towards his family. It’s genuinely bugging me to see people characterize him like that when he’s being selfless instead of selfishly obsessing over falin and risking everyone’s lives to go deeper into the dungeon. They’re already doing him a favor by putting their lives on the line. And, I think him leaving the dungeon also shows his trust towards laios and towards laios’ whole team even if he was mortified at marcille he trusts that between her and laios they really will go to any means to save falin. Best thing he does is fall back and provide laios with his support, which is a very big and brave thing to do after laios just kicked his ass while yapping about monsters. TOSHIRO IS A GOOD GUY WHO IS SHOWING HIS TRUST IN LAIOS IN HIS OWN WAY!!!! The boys just had to wrassle to really work their feelings out lol. And I also think that was brave too to finally speak his feelings!! Good for him!!!!
