as the story goes on their relationship becomes more net positive obviously but at the start it’s very much like. bakugou is something for deku to strive towards and makes him a stronger fighter but if he mirrors too closely or gets too worked up then bakugou just makes him angry and mean. and obviously deku makes bakugou feel like the actual scum of the earth like he’s drowning and the only thing he can do about it is be stronger and meaner and louder
