Children of Ares rarely have limited Necromancy and can control the spirits of the losing side of any battle.

Children of Ares are able to manipulate feelings of war, anger and rage.

Children of Ares do not fear many things, however, they due tend to possess a severe case of claustrophobia, due to the time their father spent trapped in a jar.

Percy Jackson Fic Idea

Althea Marley

Daughter of Ares. Claimed by Aphrodite.

Althea came to Camp Halfblood during the winter, in Titan's Curse. She travelled from Westover Hall with Bianca and Nico Di Angelo, her closest and only friends since they joined her at school.

Althea was spirited, proud, and might have had anger issues. And yet, she was claimed by Aphrodite, and arrangements were made for her to live in Cabin 10. One evident issue with this: she had most certainly known her mother before she died. So her godly parents couldn’t have been a goddess?

Enter Ares: certified asshole as far as individuals go and especially parents. But sometimes the gods surprise you. Ares at the very least was able to recognize when a prophecy referred to his own child. And he knew when The Binary prophecy, spoken in tandem with the Great Prophecy, told of one of his daughters having the power to destroy Olympus. And in a marginally respectable parenting decision he chose not to claim her to protect her from the gods as long as he could. Leaving her unclaimed still could have left some suspicion and who else could he ask to take her in than his closest Olympian confidant.

And Aphrodite wanted to help her lover. Although there was also the fact that Althea's mother was her daughter and she was a bit bitter that Ares had spent the night with one of her children. (god blood doesn’t matter, it’s fine I promise) So, naturally, in her jealousy she cursed Althea so that anyone who loved her would be destined to die. And now that she was realizing how important some of Althea's decisions were she felt a little bit guilty. So she owed the girl a cabin at least.

The Aphrodite children of Cabin 10 knew Althea didn’t belong. But unable to kick her out by ruling of their head counselor, they decide to reignite an old fashioned Aphrodite cabin hazing ritual. Althea has to make someone fall in love with her and then break their heart. There were some evident flaws in this plan. Deadly ones.

But as if things weren’t already bad

The given target: Percy Jackson

And as if that wasn’t problem enough Althea might be falling for the son of the sea, and that could prove very deadly for either of them as far as curses and fathers go. Especially when it comes to Althea’s developing anger issues that occasionally cause side effects that read like a medicine bottle.

Ares doesn’t typically care who his offspring choose to date and/or fall in love with. With the exception of when one of his kids falls for a child of Poseidon, because of his daughter Alcippe who was nearly raped by Halirrhotius; a son of Poseidon.
