Cang Lan Jue detail I think about non-stop

That's the freaking Xilan Holy Seal on DFQC's head AFTER XLH's death. It disappeared then. (I am sure there was a pointed scene on that but can't find a gif right now)

I am obsessed with the idea that she placed it on him again after she went into the chaos to save him from Tai Sui and this is how he actually came back in the end. The Seal binds their lives together. If she lives, he lives. Also if get all headcanony she definitely commanded him to stay by her side either out loud or even more powerful - in her mind, heart and soul, and he couldn't reject her order due to the seal.

Therefore, we have a subtle hint at how DFQC actually restored his soul in the end and I think it's not as out of the blue as we original cobsidered. It actually brings things full circle - we start with the Seal and end with it. It's their love vow.

This is what happens when you have zero expectations: you can't get disappointed. But it'll be a lie if I say I didn't have a sliver of hope it's gonna be an hour long of proper episode, lols.

The 2nd epilogue was just really a longer fan vid, but I did appreciate the added never-before scenes and the fact it's more in Xiao Lanhua's POV plus the nostalgic BGMs that still stabs you in the heart.

After watching the 2nd one, it did feel like a final goodbye. Now all I'm fervently wishing for is to see Esther and Dylan in another drama together again. I don't even care if it's modern or historical; just as long as I can see them touching, hugging, and smooching each other on screen again will be enough because their chemistry has been superbly electric!

Now that more dramas are coming out set in the Canglan universe (like the MCU, but this is way cooler, idgaf), I hope Xiao Lanhua and Dongfang Qingcang can make appearances in them because I am shamelessly greedy, lols.

Yeah the first epilogue is underwhelming but its extremely funny how its essentially Dongfang Qingcang going “Yes our married life is going great, stop fucking asking 🔫”

there is something so tender about how dongfang qingcang uses his hellfire around xiao lanhua. these embers of ice, born from the rawest torture of all, are supposed to burn, to destroy cities, to turn the world to ashes beneath his feet. all he’s ever known of its purpose was to wield it like a weapon, and to use it to hurt and to ruin.

First time I saw this and I was just "hey, what a very cool fan art!" And then I found out the Canglan producer was actually the one who edited this himself and I went, "oh, wow! They do really appreciate their actors in this drama, huh?" And I couldn't be more happier and prouder as a viewer. This gesture just cemented one of the million reasons why this show and its cast are a huge hit. Color me impressed.

the way dfqc’s soul and spirit ends up contained in a single, small piece of an item shaped like the moon but covered with twisting vines that can fit in the curve of xlh’s palm is just. like. that’s so utterly symbolic.

dongfang qingcang, larger than life, most powerful in all of the three realms, is contained in this beautiful, hopeless-hopeful, tragic thing. the moon, representing his tribe, his people, his loyalty, but the vines, representing his heart, his person, his love. it’s curled around his very soul, unwilling to let go for 500 years, and he is grown and tended to and cared for and so so loved until…

he finally comes home.

And it’s over for me now…  Love Between Fairy and Devil has become so special to me, no words would be enough to describe it. It’s an experience, it’s unique, a little miracle. I will cherish DFQC and Xiao Lanhua forever. Their love is like no other, this drama is like no other.

I feel a bit overwhelmed tbh bcz watching this drama for the last 3 weeks has felt a bit like dream, and it feels like I woke up now and it’s strange. I’ll need time to digest everything I’m feeling. But I miss them so much already.
