The more I analyze H:SR Kaeya, the more I realize that his calm demeanor is mostly a result of always having an escape plan by muddling someone's memories of him, and a deep-seated mental exhaustion.

Ever since becoming a ''being'', most of his human habits gradually dulled down- but the need for sleep remained. It's more psychological than physical: with all the shit that's going on with him, there's something very soothing in closing his eyes and shutting his brain down for at least five hours. Five hours or more of pure, much needed time where he doesn't run around or worries about anything. Pure, blissful, restful sleep.

Once he trusts someone, there'll be a transitioning period where he'll seek the person just to fall asleep on them, or near them. It's kind of cute to see this extremely tired man just crawl in someone's lap to take a long, refreshing nap... and a bit inconveniencing. Anyone is allowed to wake Kaeya up and hushes him off themselves or their sleeping arrangements, and he'll sleepily comply after apologizing.

He'll still end up crashing on something of theirs that they don't necessarily have to use at the moment.

It's a matter of trust and Kaeya being able to relax around his friends. Being poked awake to have him a little more active won't deter him from napping on them at all, actually.

@heincus: Hokori drapes her arms over Kaeya's shoulders from behind, nuzzling her face against him. She's tired, but in this moment where it's just them, she knows she can rest. Hiding in Kaeya's shadow takes a lot of focus, especially because she's trying not to fight people over any little annoyance. "I may go hide in a corner somewhere, find somewhere to nap." ( hug hsr kaeya bc he needs it )

   for having his friend simply slip out of his own shadow to hug him, Kaeya is remarkably calm. it's a sight that he's used to, and so is the hold on him, which he leans back into it gratefully. ' go ahead, ' he reassures her, ' i'll make sure that nobody bothers you. '

   meanwhile, he'll go scout the area and make a mental map of the things he has to do- the places he has to visit, too. perhaps he'll find a clue, and well, if not... he'll, at the very least, will have a bit of fun and sightsee a little.

   ' i'll be back before you can wake up and stretch, trust me. '

   H:SR Kaeya has been considered ''officially dead'' two times in the course of his life, and both of them have been illusions created by altering the memories of witnesses in order to get away

   Kaeya can be injured, but spills no blood: if shot or cut, an hole or slice will part the skin without the human-like spurt of crimson blood that makes him human. Part of why he wears an heavy jacket is not to avoid being harmed- but to mask the absence of blood to spill. While he's sure that, in the vast cosmos, some other entities may not bleed as he does, he'd rather avoid spinning a complicated lie about it. He doesn't like lying. 

   Whatever ''Kaeya'' is, his mentor Gallagher has taught him how to no longer be human. Once we have more informations about the Enigmata, I will be able to go more in-depths about it- but until then, Kaeya is simply a ''being'' who has stolen the appearence of long-deceased Kaeya Alberich and wears it like it belongs to him, and always has.

   The beings do not bleed. I'm not even sure if they feel any pain, past a certaint point, and he isn't sure if he misses his old human life. It has been very long, and he'd rather just focus on his goal so he can complete it faster.

   Update on the updated situation: the startled, introverted young man has been left alone in Sunday's office and baited with a chocolate milkshake to come down the bookcases before he damages any of them. He's much calmer but still traumatized by the whole ordeal. However, he is sip. Overall, better.

   Wow, that is awkward.

   Okay- okay. Everybody needs an hug sometimes! Maybe even Sunday does! Who knows- he could have had a bad day and just needed one! Can you see that he's trying to rationalize it so his head doesn't explode?

   It's kinda like a snake is hugging him. He must remain still not to startle it.

   Honestly, he wants a little bell with my mentor should be able to drop from the ceiling like a fucking spider to help me out in these kind of situations. Kaeya should ask him for one when they next see eachother. Or start screaming and crying. Both are very good options.
