This is so disheartening, she then goes to say that she also thought that her career was going to rise like crazy since being on Euphoria but hasnât booked anything since

HAIRCUTS + john laurens
â suggestive content, gn reader, modern-ish au, i know this is gonna get like 2 likes đ
The sound of keys jingling outside the door causes you to look up from your book. John had been out for a few hours, telling you how he âhad a surprise for you.â
âBabe?! Sweetheart?!â He called out from behind the door. Slightly opening it so you could hear him but not see him.
âYes, John. Iâm here.â You answer, getting up from the couch and stalking over to the door.
âAlright, you ready for the surprise?â He questions.
âYep, just waiting.â You reply, slightly smiling at his antics.
John fully opens the door and steps in, softly shutting it behind. You scan him up and down and immediately find your âsurprise.â His curls cut from his shoulders to near his ears and halfway down his neck.
âSurprise, baby.â He says with his usual stupid grin on his face. You approach him and reach up to touch his hair. You were familiar with his curls, of course, many nights of hair tugging and back arching.
You run your fingers through his tufts, softly pulling on them. His hooded brown eyes fixate on your face as you admire his hair. After a few seconds, you bring your hands down to cup his face. âYou like it?â John asks.
You smile and nod. âNot saying I hated your long hair or anything but I could get used to this.â You feel his cheeks grow warm in your palms.
âYeah? You like it that much?â He hums, wrapping his hands around your waist. You move your hands from his face and wrap your arms around his neck.
âMhm-mm.â You murmur, closing the gap between the two of you. You take in his lips and he floods your senses; the smell of his cologne hits you and his body presses against yours.
John then pulls back, taking in a few breaths. âMaybe Iâll keep it like this. You obviously love it.â He chuckles.
âI wouldnât mind,â you snicker. âYou know whoâs gonna go crazy about this though?â
âWho?â
âAlexander,â you respond.
John laughs at your answer. âNot wrong when youâre right,â He sighs blissfully. âSo⊠what else is this haircut gonna get me, Hm?â He purrs.
âWhy donât you find out?â

Betty//tell me something nice, like flowers and blue skies
Request:Â Can I request a Reader/Betty with the song I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend by Girl In Red, maybe reader pines over Betty how she pines over Archie
hey! before i ramble trigger warning: i donât really know how to describe it, so thereâs like a nightmare bit and people arenât really nice about the reader being gay, so if that upsets you donât read. anyway! itâs loving women hours (when is it not?) as iâm writing this its october, so itâs officially girl in red season! happy holidays gays!Â
Betty Cooper, Archie Andrews and Y/n L/l/n. The three musketeers of Riverdale. Wherever one of them went, the other two followed.Â
You have lived next door to each other, since before any of you were even born. Your moms went to baby classes together, your dads let you play in the back yard while the three of them enjoyed a beer. There was never a day that at least two of you werenât together.Â
Every birthday party was spent showing presents off and eating far too much cake. And every weekend sleepover was spent giggling way into the night and eating junk food, only to be told off by one of your moms. You would plan countless pranks that Polly would always be on the receiving end of, and then when the three of you were inevitably grounded for ruining another thing of hers, youâd hang out of your bedroom windows to wave at each other.Â
As the three of you grew older, your parents thought you would grow apart. All three of you developed new interests and personalities, but despite everything you stuck together. Promising to go through High School by each others side.Â
But then disaster struck. Hormones got the better of one of you and suddenly Betty was pining over Archie. Which was bad news for all three of you.Â
Because while Archie was all Betty wanted, he wanted everybody but her. He even tried it on with you once, it ended awfully and you both vowed never to speak of it ever again.Â
You donât know how many hours youâve spent sat on her bed while she watched Archie from her bedroom window, despite you telling her how creepy it is.Â
At first it was kind of boring. You just watched her, watch him and then youâd listen to her mope, tell her heâll realize soon and then go home. But then it stopped being boring and something shifted. You found it more hurtful?Â
Like whenever she would talk about him in that lovestruck tone, it felt like your something twisting your lungs. You found yourself stuttering over your words when she talked to you. Your cheeks would heat up whenever she was in close proximity of you, and if she touched you, even if it was just a light graze of her fingers over your own, your mind would go blank and busy all at once.Â
You found yourself sneaking glances at her whenever she wasnât looking, or trying your hardest to make her laugh, even if it meant making yourself look like an idiot. She was the last thing you thought of when you went to sleep, the first thing you thought of when you woke up and she was every other thought in between.Â
The littlest of interactions between you had you overthinking. What did that smile mean? Why did she ask just you to hang out and not Archie too? Is she trying to tell you something? Was that goodbye wave just a goodbye wave or was it something else? And that goodnight text? Was there a tone to it?Â
It was only when she rang you at 2am to ask you what you thought Archie meant by âIâll see you tomorrowâ, did you realize.Â
Youâd fallen for your very straight best friend.Â
fuck
Nobody knew you were into girls. Not even you were aware of it until her.Â
Until she made you look forward to going to school because that meant youâd get to see her. Until she made you feel like the most important girl in the world when she smiled at you. Until she made butterflies swarm in your stomach whenever she so much as looked at you.Â
But she always talked to Archie before you first thing in the morning. She always smiled brighter at Archie, and she always looked away far too soon.Â
Even if had beed years since sheâs first fallen for him and sheâs dated Jughead in between. You could tell there was still something there between them.Â
Just look at me the same
Riverdale is a small town, people talk and people judge. So for now, youâll stay in the very comfy closet your in.Â
Youâre graduating soon so you just have to keep in a secret for another four months. Thatâs totally do-able.Â
But then again you and Betty have applied for the same collegeâs so who knows what going to happen then. Maybe youâll find a girl there that youâll fall for.Â
But thereâs nobody like Betty Cooper. Â
There never was and there never will be.Â
Sheâs the only good thing to come out of this place. Even after everything sheâs been through, theyâre usually things youâve also been dragged into by either her or Archie, but she always comes out the other side stronger.Â
Sheâs a force to be reckoned with.Â
Sheâs wonderful.Â
If you tell people that you were into woman, then thereâs a chance that Betty might find out you like her and you definitely donât want that.Â
So youâll continue secretly pining and looking way too much into things.Â
Youâll continue to listen to her talk about Archie or Jughead or whoever she likes this week, in exactly the same way you think about her.Â
Youâll lie next to her at Friday night sleepovers and try to keep your breathing normal as she cuddles into the side of you. Youâll stop yourself brushing hair from her face, from stroking her arm gently and from pressing gentle kisses to her head.Â
You stop yourself from doing all of those things and just lie there. Letting the darkness envelop you as she snores softly beside you. And when you eventually fall asleep sheâs there too, but somethingâs off.Â
Sheâs looking at you all wrong. Everybody is. Theyâre looking at you like youâve done something wrong. Archie and Betty stand hand in hand, and they glare at you. The world around you twists and warps, you try and get closer to them, to ask whats wrong but they just keep jumping further and further away. And then she tells you, she knows. She knows everything, about the way you feel, how you think of her and sheâs looking at you like youâre a stranger. They all are and the world becomes tighter around you and its getting harder and harder to breath an-
âY/n?!âÂ
You eyes snap open and you sit upright, gasping for breath.
Betty stares at you, eyes full of panic as she moves to sit in front of you. She flicks the lamp on as she moves and the room is flooded in a soft orange glow. The duvet bunches around you and she moves it down to allow you to breathe and cool down.
âBreathe. Youâre okay. Itâs okay. Iâm here.â She says, her voice firm but soothing. Her hands rest on your shoulders and you force yourself to nod, and slowly start to breathe properly. âAre you okay?â She asks, her voice now a lot less panicked and a wave of embarrassment rolls over you.Â
âYeah.â You shrug. âJust a bad dream.â
âDo you want to talk about it?â She lies back down and you follow apprehensively.Â
âNo thanks.â You mumble and move your pillow.Â
In times like this its good that you have shared trauma. It means if you get bad dreams about your best friend finding out you like her, thats not the first thing she assumes.Â
She probably thinks its got to do with the Gargoyle King, or that night you were hunted through the woods. Or when you went to Lodgeâs Lodge and got robbed. Veronica had insisted that it was coupleâs only but Betty had fought for you to come. Saying that if her and Archie were both away youâd be alone. Plus, the three of you come as package. You want one, you get all of them.Â
You shuffle backwards towards the wall, trying to put as much space between the two of you as you possibly can. She doesnât seem to get your hint and just moves closer to you, slinging her arm over your waist and you feel goosebumps rise over your skin.Â
Your eyes flutter shut but the dark and distorted world you were previously trapped in plays behind your eyes like a really bad horror movie and so they snap open again.Â
You hold in a gasp once you notice how close she is to your, your foreheads barely touching, her blonde hair sprawled out on the pillow and the ends tickle your face.Â
âYou okay?â She mumbles and opens an eyelid to look at you.Â
âI just donât think I can sleep right now.â You reply causing her to frown and look at you properly. She props her head up with her head and her hair falls around her face as she angles her head to look at you properly.Â
You want to kiss her.Â
Sheâs right there so you could. Sheâs lying in front of you and sheâs giving you a look youâve never seen directed at you before.Â
You could just lean up and kiss her. You wonder if it will feel like how youâve imagined. If her lips are as soft as they look and if youâll still be able to feel them long after youâve stopped. If the feeling will engrain itself into your memory, becoming impossible to forget. If her hands will hold your own or if theyâll settle on your cheek or in your hair. Will she be cautious as she kisses you or will it be the most sure sheâs ever felt about something?Â
You want to kiss her until you lose your breath.Â
You want to get lost in her and for her to get lost in you. Until this is the only thing either of you know.Â
âTell me something nice.âÂ
âLike Archieâs hair today. Because it was really nice. I think he spent a little longer on it today but it was worth it. It looked very softâŠvery ginger.âÂ
âNo.â You laugh.Â
Sheâs gone back to Archie for this week and even if it does hurt, its a little comforting. It reminds you of when she first went on like this, you were unaware of your feelings then. You were just hanging out with your friend while she pined for your other one. There was no feelings to mess it up, at least not on your end.
Now youâre almost three years into this and thereâs been more complicated emotions and plot twists than a teen drama. More moping than a Smiths song.Â
The internet is obsessed with the mutual pining trope, itâs romanticized beyond belief. And in a way youâre in one, the only problem is sheâs pining for the wrong person, maybe so are you.Â
âLike flowers and blue skies.â You add after a few seconds of silence and a soft smile settles on her face.Â
âOkay. Come here.â She stretches her arms out towards you and you reluctantly shuffle towards her.Â
She squeezes you tightly before lying back down properly, her arms are wrapped around you and her chin rests on your head. You feel the steady beat of her heart and you hope she canât feel your erratic one.Â
âCan you remember last Christmas?â She asks and you hum in agreement. âIt was Christmas day, me, you and Archie got together in Archieâs backyard to do our annual present swap. It was freezing, but the sky was the bluest it had been for months. There wasnât a cloud in sight and the sun was brighter than the previous summers.âÂ
âIt had been snowing.â You reply. âAnd we threw snowballs at Archie.âÂ
âYeah.â She laughs. âArchie threw one back, but it was more ice than snow and it hit me right on the nose.âÂ
âI thought heâd broken your nose with the amount of blood.â You laugh.Â
âYou took me home and made sure I was okay.â
âOf course I did.â You mumble, your voice sleepy. âIâd do anything for you.â You add, your voice muffled by a yawn.Â
âWhat?â She asks but you shake your head.Â
âNothing.â You reply. âI donât think Iâve ever seen your mom so confused.âÂ
âSo would you be if your kid and her friend were stood on the porch, one of them with blood pouring out of their nose and the other with blue lips almost the same shade as the sky.âÂ
âFair enough.â You laugh. âHey, what are you getting for Archie for Christmas this year?âÂ
âI dunno.â She shrugs. âWhat about you?âÂ
âI dunno, thats why I was asking you.â You reply and the two of you giggle quietly. âWhat do you want for Christmas?âÂ
âA boyfriend.âÂ
âGross.â You mumble and she looks at you annoyed.Â
âWhat do you mean gross?âÂ
âI meanâŠgross.âÂ
âShut up. Youâll understand when you get a boyfriend.âÂ
âI highly doubt thats gonna happen.â You mutter making her frown and move to look at you.Â
âDonât think like that.â She cups your cheeks in her hands and you feel your face heating up under the intensity of her stare. âYou are so pretty. Youâre the prettiest girl I know. Any boy would be lucky to have you.âÂ
âYeah, okay.â You snort and she sends you a look but decides not to say anything.Â
âDo you like anybody at the minute?â She asks, her chin resting back on your head and your breath hitches as you try and figure out the best way around this. Itâs too late though, she heard you and now sheâs staring at you wide-eyed with a bright grin on her face. âOh my God. You do. You so like someone.âÂ
âNo, I er. No I donâ-âÂ
âWho is it. You have to tell me. I tell you everybody that I like.âÂ
âI know.â You mumble making her glare at you.Â
âPlease. I wonât tell anyone. I promise. Do I know them?âÂ
âNo.â You shake your head.Â
âOkay, So I know them.âÂ
âBut I just said you didnât.â
âI know. But I can tell when youâre lying. Weâve been friends for 18 years, I know all your tells.â She says.Â
A lump sits in your throat and you try your hardest to swallow it.Â
fuck
âSo I know them?âÂ
âNo.â You sigh and lie down properly. âThereâs no point in trying to guess because Iâm not gonna tell you.âÂ
âWhy not?â She pouts and flops beside you, crossing her arms over her chest.Â
âBecause. Plus, thereâs no point in telling anyone because they donât like me back.âÂ
âHow do you know? Have you asked them?âÂ
âNo, bu-âÂ
âSo how do you know?âÂ
âBecause Iâm really not their type.â You say. Itâs more to yourself than to her but neither of you seem to get the hint.Â
âYou never know.â She argues.Â
âBelieve me I do. So can we just drop this and go to sleep.â You snap.Â
Her happy expression disappears as she looks at her hands and you feel your chest tighten.Â
âYeah sorry.â She whispers.Â
âNo, Iâm sorry. I shouldnât have snapped.âÂ
âIts fine.â She shakes her head and turns to look at you.âI shouldnât have pushed it. But before I drop it forever, for the record, whoever it is is an idiot for not liking you.â She says sincerely and you send her a small smile.Â
The two of you stare at each other for a few seconds, and your sure her gaze drops to your lips for a split second. But then you hear a bang on the bedroom door followed by her mom telling you to go to sleep and the moment, whatever it was, is gone. She drops your gaze and turns around, pulling the blanket all the way up to her chin.Â
You watch her turn, continuing to stare at her back before you sigh and face the other way.Â
Youâre both stuck in the same place but you want to follow different paths.Â
You both know what its like to be a friend but want something more. The different is that sheâs more likely to get what she wants. A boy can start to like his best friend, but you canât turn a straight girl gay.
That knowledge weighs you down over the weekend. You, Betty, Archie, Jughead and Veronica hang out at Pops on Saturday. And even though you and Betty were the first oneâs there, you somehow end up stuck on the end, forced to borrow a chair from someone elseâs table.Â
Betty and Archie sit next to each other and laugh over inside jokes and their shared dislike of one of the new kids. Veronica and Jughead sit beside each other in an awkward silence. Every ten minutes one of them will try and desperately think of something that have in common but it never works.Â
And you?
You sit on the end with nothing to do and no one to talk to. So you leave early, muttering a small goodbye before rushing out of the diner. Veronica and Jughead mumble a small goodbye, and an hour later they come up with an excuse as to why they also need to leave.Â
But Betty and Archie donât notice. They donât notice youâve gone until Jughead says goodbye an hour later.Â
They stay for a bit longer talking about stories from when they were younger, their plans for the rest of the weekend and whether theyâve done the homework for Miss Fireworth.Â
But something is missing. They both feel it, Betty more than Archie.Â
It settles in her bones, a feeling of loneliness. Itâs only when Archie starts talking about if she thinks if Veronica would give him another chance does she realize it.Â
Of course! How could she have not seen it before Itâs obvious. It was right in front of her this whole time and sheâs only not just realized.Â
âArchie, Iâve got to go.â She says quickly, grabbing her bag and shuffling past him.Â
She feels terrible, all of these years youâve been feeling like this and sheâs been so oblivious. So inconsiderate. Sheâs the worst. But sheâs going to make it right, sheâs going to try her best to anyway.Â
âOkay.â He calls after her, sheâs already out of the door by the time he replies and he watches her walk quickly out of the parking lot.Â
It takes her ten minutes to walk to your house and as soon as she runs up the steps of the porch sheâs knocking loudly on the door. She moves from foot to foot, the excitement rising as she waits for you to answer the door.Â
The door swings open and your brows furrow once you see who it is. But before you have the chance to ask why sheâs here, sheâs already speaking.Â
âYou like Archie?â
âWhat? No!â You exclaim and she raises an eyebrow.Â
âIts okay if you do. I actually think you guys would be really cute together.â She reassures you and you stop yourself from rolling your eyes.Â
âI donât like Archie.â You repeat but sheâs having none of it, waving her arm around before continuing to talk.Â
âBut you do though. I understand now. All of these years Iâve been pining over him and you also liked him. And you listened to me and comforted me like the great friend you are and I just let you. I didnât even think that you could like him. But it makes so much sense now.âÂ
âDoes it?âÂ
âYes.â She huffs. âIâm sorry I was an idiot.âÂ
âIts okay?âÂ
âSo you do like him? How long for?â She wonders, shrugging her jacket off as she walks past you.Â
You know you shouldnât. You know this is going to end badly for everyone involved, but you do it anyway. You play along, at least if she thinks you like Archie, she wonât suspect herself.Â
âAbout three years.â You shrug and she stares at you in shock.Â
âThat long?â She says.Â
âYep.â
âHow do you know you arenât his type?â She wonders, remembering the conversation you had last night.Â
âI just do. I mean, look at his track record, and then look at me. Nothing alike.âÂ
âThats good though!â She replies. âNobody wants to date someone exactly the same as their ex.âÂ
You are very different to her exâs, that is true.Â
âNot this different though.â You shrug. âIts fine though. Iâm used to it. Now, do you want to watch a movie tonight?â You ask, sitting down on the sofa.Â
âYeah, sure.â She replies, not really sure what to do. She sits beside you and looks around the living room, hoping the right words to say will find her. Thereâs something else to this, she knows there is. She just canât quite figure out what it is. âY/n?â She asks and reaches out to hold your hand. Her touch is gentle, almost cautious and youâre dreading whatever is going to come out of her mouth next. âAre you sure thats it?âÂ
âWhat do you mean?â You ask, dropping her hand. Hurt flashes through her eyes and she pulls her hand back, placing it on her thigh.Â
The feeling of her hand went from light to heavy awfully quickly, and you want to touch her, but not like this. Not in this situation. Sheâs looking at you.Â
When she looks at you usually, itâs gives you a feeling you canât describe. But the way sheâs looking at you now makes you want to shrink.Â
âDo you like Archie?â She repeats.
âNo.â You breathe and she sighs.Â
You can see her trying to figure it out. Trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together and you know sheâs going to work it out. You stare at her with bated breath and watches as she stares at the blank television.Â
âI er, Iâve got a few things to do so, Iâll see you later.â You try but she just continues to look ahead.Â
The walls close in on you, itâs only a matter of time. Sheâs going to figure it out and sheâs going to hate you and everything is going to be ruined.Â
âIâm sorry.â You cry quietly and she looks at you confused.Â
Sheâs beside you in an instant, wrapping her arms around you and your bury your head in her chest.Â
âIâm really, really sorry. I didnât meant to and I wasnât gonna tell you. I didnât want to ruin anything between us because youâre my best friend and I donât want to lose you.âÂ
âDo you like me?â She asks, her voice remaining calm as she moves away to look at you.Â
âYeah.â You mumble and stare at the grey fabric of the sofa. âIâm sorry.â Your force yourself to look at her.Â
She wipes the palms of her hands on her jeans, takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. You stare at her in confusion, wondering what sheâs doing and why she hasnât shouted at you and left yet. But then her hands cup your cheeks and she leans in, kissing you softly.Â
Itâs slow at first, both of you unsure of whatâs happening. But it doesnât make any less perfect. It doesnât stop your cheeks from heating up, or your heartbeat from going haywire and it doesnât stop all cohesive thoughts from falling out of your head.Â
She pulls away quickly, and both of you looked at each other shocked.Â
âIâm sorry.â She says quickly and stands.Â
âNo, no. Itâs fine.â You reply, copying her movements. You follow her to the door, despite your entire body screaming at you to not let her leave. You donât think you can handle watching her walk away.Â
Youâve wanted that kiss for three years. Youâd built it up in your head so much, but now its happened and sheâs running away and this is nothing like you thought it would be.Â
The kiss was perfect.Â
This is a nightmare.Â
âY/n. Iâm sorry.â She says, finally looking at you.Â
Sheâs holding on to her bag so tightly her knuckles have turned white, she glances at the door behind her and points awkwardly at it.Â
âIâve got to go.âÂ
âYeah, okay.â She turns around and you will yourself not to cry. She canât see you cry, not over her anyway.
âBye.â She says quickly and walks through the front door.Â
âBye.â You reply, closing the door before she even has a chance to turn around.Â
A shaky breath escapes your lips and you canât stop the tears anymore. They keep coming, running down your face like sad little waterfalls. Your hands shake, your head hurts and your chest tightens.Â
Youâve just watched your best friend and the woman youâre in love with run away after kissing you.Â
Nothing is going to fix this.Â
Well one thing will.Â
âY/n.â Betty is shouting outside, banging on the door louder than she ever has and you quickly swing the door open, revealing her tear stained face. âIâm so sorry.â She apologizes.Â
Within seconds sheâs stepped over the threshold, her arms hold you waist and pulls you tight to her. She kisses you desperately and messily, with teeth clashing and tears mixing together. Â
But she doesnât want it any other way.Â
And neither do you.Â
âY/n?â She asks between kisses and you nod in reply. âI donât want to be your friend.âÂ
âOkay.â You pull away to look at her.Â
Her hands are still wrapped around you, but yours drops from from her cheeks, now worried that all of this has been some sort of trick.
âI wanna be your girlfriend.â

Reggie- New Students
I walk through the lunch hall holding Reggieâs hand
âI promised Veronica and Archie I would help with the welcome tableâ Reggie groans âwhat?â I frown
âWhat do you mean what? those snakes came to Archieâs to attack himâ
âBecause he was on their turf and waved a gun in some of their facesâ Reggie looks shocked âoh yeah I know about that thanks to Veronicaâ
âYN theyâre bad news. Youâll get hurt because of one of them. They carry pocket knivesâ
âReggie they are coming to our school your gonna have to get over it. Now Iâll see you laterâ I kiss Reggieâs cheek and walk off to find Veronica and Archie.
Once I find the couple I join them at the welcome table just in time for the Southside students to arrive
"Friends. On behalf of the students and faculty here at Riverdale High welcome to your new school. To ease this transition I've set up a registration desk where you can get your locker assignments, schedules and a list of sports and extracurriculars"
âV donât be over the topâ I whisper to her
âWe encourage each and everyone of you to drink deeply from the cup that is fair riverdale"
âWhat did I say about being over the top. My apologies for her. Basically all sheâs saying if your unsure about something donât hesitate to askâ
"Stand down Eva Peron" I hear Cheryl shout making me groan. I turn around and see her waking down the stairs with Reggie
"Theres the school spirt I so fondly remember" I hear Jughead says to one of the girls heâs stood next to
"Cheryl no one invited fascists barbie to the party"
"Wrong Veronica. No one invited Southside scum to our school. Listen up ragamuffins. I will not allow Riverdale's Highs above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms overcrowded with underachievers so please find some other school to debase with your hardscrabble ways"
âCheryl how do you know theyâre as you call underachievers? they might actually be more cleaver than us. Just give them a chanceâ
âBabe thatâs enough. Now come hereâ
âNo, Iâm not going to stand for this stupidityâ I frown at Reggie
âYN itâs clear to see these snakes are just going to ruin this school. I mean just look at themâ Cheryl points
"You wanna come over here and say that to my face?" a girl with pink/purple in her hair says stepping forward
"Happily queen of the buskers" Cheryl steps closer
"Ok guys. Everyone. Can we just put our Northside Southside differences apart and start over? A new slate"
"You don't speak for the bulldogs. And need I remind you these greaser snakes showed up at your place to kick your ass" Reggie comes forward and takes my wrist in his hand. I try to remove it
"You know what I think it's time to finish what we started" Sweet Pea says angry âand I donât think your girlfriend wants your hand around her wrist like that so I suggest you let her goâ
"I am so over the toxic masculinity in this hallway right now"
"Alright. Enough pomp and circumstance. Everyone let's get to class. Now" Principle Weatherbee comes over. Reggie looks irritated and Cheryl looks down at her shoes
âYN letâs goâ I give the Southide students a sad smile before walking off with Reggie.
Later in the day I have a free period. I walk into the student lounge and see a small group of the Serpents and most of my friends. I sit down next to Kevin
"I don't think we've properly met. Veronica Lodge" she extends a hand to a girl
"From the park avenue Lodges" Jug says while eating. I roll my eyes at him, when is he not eating?
"Toni Topaz" the girl Toni shakes Veronicas hand
"Like the purple coloured gem stone. Love it"
"And I'm Josie McCoy formerly of the pussycats, now just Josie. And this is Kevin and YN"
"What's your name?" Kevin asks one of t he guys eating twizlers
"Fogarty or you can call me Fangs. Your last names Keller right?"
"Yeah how did you know that?"
"Joaquin and I used to hang out. He used to talk about you all the time"
âSo YN why are you with that idiot Reggie?â Sweet Pea asks me
âBecause heâs good to me. Weâve been dating for a few years nowâ
âEven when he scored you in the play bookâ Betty folds her arms
âAnd he said sorryâ
âOh because that fixes him rating your sex lifeâ
âArchie heâŠâ Iâm then cut off by Principle Weatherbee
"You guys" we all look at him "yes you. Come with me. Now" I get up from my seat and follow everyone out of the room. I see Reggie stood with his arms crossed looking smug next to a snake symbol, the one that looks like the back of the Serpents jackets
"Which of you defaced our schools seal with this graffiti?"
"This is what they do Principal Weatherbee. They tag their turf" Reggie says
"My god Reggie could you be anymore transparent?" Reggie nods not really understanding what Veronica is saying
"Effective immediately no gang behaviour of any kind will be tolerated in my school. As of this moment no more Serpent jackets"
"What?" Sweet Pea shouts Â
"Are you kidding?" Jugs says
"No more Serpent jackets and all tattoos are to be covered. Possession of any gang paraphernalia will lead to immediate suspension. That's all" Principal Weatherbee walks away leaving Reggie looking smug. I walk up to him and glare at him
âWhy?â I ask
âBecause baby, they need to know their placeâ

Reggie Mantle- Period
I'm lying in my bed in pain because of that time of the month. My phone rings, I groan rolling over to answer it, however once I see the same across the screen I feel slightly better
"Hiya babe" I say through the phone
"Hey angel I was wondering if you wanted to come over?" Reggie's voice comes through
"Ughh I would but I've just started my period and nothings helping the pain"
"Your in pain?" he asks with concern
"Yeah. Normally the tablets I take help but this time they haven't. I just don't think I'd be much fun to be with at the moment" I chuckle a little
"Ok no worries angel. Get some sleep and I'll speak to you in a bit"
"Ok speak to you later" I put the phone down and close my eyes trying to think of anything but the pain I am currently experiencing.
I must have dozed off because I'm woken up by my front door opening then shutting. I sit up in bed just about to get out when the bedroom door opens revealing Reggie holding a bag
"What are you doing here?"
"Well you said your period started and your in pain and your parents are away so I've come to look after you" he plonks himself down on my bed " I've got you some chips, chocolate, some pads and candy"
"Babe you didn't have to do this"
"Yes I did because I love you" Reggie kisses my forehead as I smile "now let me get you a hot water bottle while you pick out something to watch on Netflix" Reggie walks out holding my Minnie Mouse hot water bottle. I put on friends, which is honestly the best comfort show ever.
Reggie walks back into the bedroom with the hot water bottle and I put it around my stomach. He climbs in bed with me and pulls me to him so his one arm is around my shoulders and the other is holding the water bottle on my stomach. I open up the bar of chocolate, plopping a square in my mouth then feeding a square to Reggie. This goes on for a few hours, after eating the chocolate we ate the chip then after that we ate the candy. Before long it's evening time
"How's your tummy?"
"Better than it was but still hurts"
"I'll run you a bath" Reggie kisses my lips as he gets out of bed and makes his way to the bathroom. I hear him turn on the taps, I get out of bed and walk over to my closet pulling out some night clothes. I walk in to the bathroom and the bubbles are flowing, Reggie puts on some calming music
"Let me pamper you. I've got your face wash and face masks here so just relax and think of being at a spar" I giggle a little before getting into the bath. Reggie washes my face then puts on a face mask
"Thank you for this Reggie"
"Anything for you my angel"
"You truly are the best boyfriend in the world"
"And your the best girlfriend in the galaxy"
"Ok now your just being cheesy"
"But you love it"
"Hmmm maybe I do. Can't you stay the night?" I ask with my eyes closed
"Of course I will"
After the bath I get changed and both Reggie and I climb into bed, our legs tangle with each other's and I lay my head on his chest
"I don't think I say this enough but I love you Reggie"
"I'm glad you don't say it all the time because then when you do say it it hasn't lost it's meaning. I love you too angel now let's put on a film, anything in particular?"
"Just an easy watch because I'm probably gonna end up falling asleep" I giggle
"Ok how about Matilda. We haven't watched that in a while?"
"Ooo yes Matilda" Reggie presses play "thank you to today" I snuggle into Reggie and soon fall asleep as the pains start to ease

Staking A Claim | Reggie Mantle
[gif is not mine; all credit to the creator]
Word Count: 1K
Pairing: Reggie Mantle x Fem!Reader, 2nd person POV
Description: Nobody knows the two of you are dating, until Reggie decides to stake a claim
Warnings: implied sexy things, sneaking around, intimidation
A/N: Iâve written something similar for Frausto from All American, but I wanted to change it up and reuse the idea. No spoilers, as this is just a snippet of time that takes place at Riverdale High and Iâm only on season 3 of the show
- - -
You stepped out of the womenâs locker room after football practice, your sore muscles aching with every step. You were snug in Reggieâs âRiverdale Bulldogs Footballâ hoodie, the thought of wearing it in plain sight giving you a little thrill. Nobody knew the two of you were together, and if anyone were to ask about the slightly bigger size to the hoodie, you knew you would just lie and say youâd ordered a bigger size because you wanted it. Not that anyone would ask you about it; being the only girl on the football team was enough to intimidate about two-thirds of your class. It didnât matter that you were only on the football team because there wasnât anyone else whoâd scored more points than you - or because you wanted the off-season practice outside of soccer - running with the football team gave you a different kind of power in the Riverdale High hierarchy.

Someone Gets Hurt
Summary: Betty/Reader Request: Using the song Someone Gets Hurt (reprise) from Mean Girls
Youâd been so excited when Veronica had gotten Betty on the team you were only slightly jealous of the kiss they had shared.
âReally Y/N if I had known you two were-â
âWell its sort of a secret. My mom would kill me if she knew.â You smile nervous and can see the pity on Veronicaâs face.
âIâm sorry youâre momâs like that Y/N it canât be easy.â
âWell thereâs a lot she doesnât know so itâs okay.â You grin as Betty excitedly tells you all about the upcoming game sheâll be performing at.
Youâre at her first game grinning and cheering as she runs on the field. Sheâs smiling at you and you rush up to hug her after everything that had happened with Cheryl quiets down. She stays in the locker room longer than necessary to kiss you instead of changing. You joke about joining the team and sheâs surprisingly serious; explaining how you being on the team would be a way for you to cover your relationship.
âBetty Iâm not good like you, the best I can be is a benchwarmer. Iâm not a sports person.â You sigh and she pouts until you at least agree to try out.
Youâre surprised to find  that youâve made it on the team, by lunch you understand with how Ronnie and Betty are grinning leaning on Cherylâs every word.
âWhenâs the next practice?â You bound up Betty looking away from you as Cheryl glares.
âWe were talking Y/N. What do you want?â
âI just; to ask when-â
âI already said when the next practice was after your tryout. You should have listened.â
âOh, sorry Iâll just ask Betts later.â Cheryl glares at you and nods as you leave. You hear her laughing, you catch the tail end of a jab about you; you try to block out Bettyâs laugher along side her.
âDoes Cheryl have a problem with me being on the Vixenâs? I mean I know she kind of does by default but-â
âNo she doesnât at all! She well; has a problem with us, sheâs just worried weâll focus more on each other than the team.â
âI donât need to stay on the team if itâs that much of a problem. Iâll just ask her.â You shake of Bettyâs worry and go to find Cheryl.
âCan we talk?â
âIf itâs about practice you can ask your girlfriend.â
âItâs about the Vixenâs but not practice.â
âOh?â Cheryl turns look up at you expectantly.
âI donât think I should be on the team; I-â
âFinallyyyy, something we agree on. Youâre off. No problem; you can thank me later. Iâm glad Betty made you see sense, her and Ronnie were saying the other day how youâre not pulling your own weight and itâs really obvious so itâs good youâve seen the light and decided to quit.â
âOh yeah; thanks.â You nod and return to eating lunch with Betty; picking at your salad.
âY/N whatâs wrong?â
âCheryl said how you and Ronnie were telling her I donât pull my own weight on the team; and you wanted me to quit.â
âNo babe, thatâs not it at all-â
âSo you did say it?â
âJust to get her to shut up. She was dragging you and it was annoying me. She can be so rude sometimes.â Betty leans over kissing you.
âI have something with the blue and gold now but Iâll see you after for practice?â
âI quit, besides I have an art competition coming up; remember?â
âOh yeah! Iâm covering it for the blue and gold just so you know.â She grins and kisses you once more before she leaves you to finish your lunch. You donât say anything about seeing her in her Vixen uniform moments after sheâd rushed off.
Youâre nervous about your art piece, itâs being displayed in a silent auction style; no names of the artists and itâs all mixed media so people can vote for their favourite.Youâre hover across the room to watch your piece as well as the door waiting for Betty to walk through; instead you spot Jugheadâs beanie and he quickly cuts through everyone to make it by your side.
âHey Y/N; Betty said sheâs feeling under the weather so her momâs making her stay home. Here I am.â He grins waving his camera and you smile.
âI hope she gets better soon; she was so excited about this and the big game coming up; Iâm sure Cheryl would have her head especially since I quit.â
âYou quit the Vixens?â
âYeah; I just felt; I mean I donât really fit into the Vixenâs mould I guess.â You shrug and he nods wrapping his arm around you in a half hug.
âWell I better go actually do my job.â You nod and he vanishes into the crowd. You can see him watching you and you try to wave him off assuring him youâll be fine but you know he can see your disappointment.
âY/N, you okay?â
âYeah Iâm good just a little bummed Betty couldnât-â You trail off, about to update that youâd won first place in the art competition when your feed refreshes and you see Cheryl and Betty lounging on her couch pizza and make-up out in front of them.
âY/N? Oh, Jesus Iâm really sorry I thought-â
âItâs fine Jughead really.â
âI can take you home if you want?â You nod frowning when you phone lights up.
âHello?â
âHey Y/N; I was just calling to see how the art show went?â You cringe at Betty faking a sick voice.
âit went good; I was thinking of stopping by your place; Jughead said you werenât feeling well so I thought I could cheer you up in person!â You fake cheer and can hear her hesitate.
âYeah, yeah sounds good, just a quick stop over my mom is pretty strict as we both know.â You laugh a little before hanging up.
âYou sure youâll be okay?â
âI donât really have a choice do I?â Jughead grimaces and lets you climb on the back of his bike.
Your standing in front of her house and watch her come out in her bathrobe, tissueâs sticking out of the pocket; you bite back rolling your eyes and smile at her; she grins and you can see the door open; Cheryl watching grin on her face; you must look shocked because Betty turns back scowling.
âCheryl; I told you not to; ugh. Sorry Y/N give me a sec and we can-â
âNo itâs okay. Iâll just head back home.â
âY/N; she was just coming to check up on me.â
âIs that why you two were giving each other makeovers? And the rest of the Vixenâs were having pizza with you?â
âY/N what is with you hating the Vixens. Theyâre my friends.â
âIâm your girlfriend Betts; youâre supposed to support me before you support them every single time they need something from you.â
âBabe thatâs unfair the Vixenâs are like my family you were part of that.â
âNo, you were, you went behind my back and trash talked me to Cheryl and Ronnie and everyone else. You know you did, they know you did Betty. I know you just wanted to be part of them; thatâs all you ever wanted but I just want to be with you.â
âY/N itâs complicated; I didnât mean to say those things but I had to; you understand?â
âI understand at least Cheryl hates me to my face! All you do is hide behind her or Ronnie. You donât care about me. Not anymore do you?â You step back watching Betty step forward.
âYou spent all evening here at this stupid party, hanging out with the Vixenâs you didnât even care about the art show did you?â
âY/N listen it was a rough day everyone just wanted to relax, no stress you know.â You cringe back.
âNot me I guess? Despite spending all morning with you and Jones planning out that Serpent meeting? You lied and said you werenât feeling well enough so Jughead was covering for you!â She sighs as you shout; you can see her looking back to Jughead and you glare at her.
âY/N itâs just-â
âHere.â You shove the artwork youâd done of both of you sharing a milkshake at Popâs
âY/N.â
âKeep it, another trophy for you. Just stay away from me Betty. Itâs fine. You donât want me; I get it. Itâs fine.â You turn away and her hand catches your wrist before you jerk it away.
âItâs fine Betty!â You snap shoving her backwards climbing onto the back of Jugheadâs bike.

Summary: Betty/Andrews!Reader- Â You make a point of looking out your brotherâs window any chance you get to see Betty.
âArchie Iâm leaving your shirts on your bed.â You shout downstairs to him, after sorting your laundry into separate piles.
âCan you put-â Youâre about to shout back down for him to do it himself, but you spot Betty walking in front of the window and you swallow your sentence.
âJust this once.â You respond, keeping your eye on Betty as she paces back and forth. Sheâs talking to someone and you can see Kevin reach an arm out.
You assume theyâre talking as Betty almost jumps out of view; you frown turning your focus back to putting Archieâs shirts away for him. You sneak a glance out the side of the window to see Betty and Kevin both looking in. You focus on folding your own shirts instead of trying to sneak more glances at Betty. Despite being good friends with her you couldnât help being shy, having a huge crush on her was something you tried to avoid thinking about, considering how much sheâd talk about your brother.
Youâd heard her and Kevin talking in hushed tones about Archie one too many times for you to brush it off as coincidence or Betty helping Kevin get over his crush on your brother. You knew they were both smitten, and as much as it hurt, youâd prefer to see Betty happy than asking her out.
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
You donât mean to make a habit of putting Archieâs laundry away, but almost every time youâre folding his laundry you manage to catch sight of Betty. Sheâs not doing anything particularly interesting, or scandalous; most of the time sheâs pacing her room, or writing into a journal at her desk. You keep yourself next to the bed, stealing side glances out the window. You only make eye contact twice, youâre sure both of your faces are pink as you turn back to the laundry.
Archieâs downstairs when you realize you left your favourite shirt in with his clothes. You pull it from his drawers, folding the shirts you rumpled before pulling your shirt on and turning to the window out of habit. Betty Cooper stands frozen in hers. You wave nervously and she returns it before practically diving out of the way. Archie calls you down to leave for school and you walk with him wondering what just happened.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
âI still donât understand why you wonât at least try out for cheerleading. Cherylâs not as scary as she was. Iâm sure sheâd be happy to have you join the team.â You shrug him off.
âItâs not that. I just donât think Iâd be good enough.â
âGood enough for what?â Betty appears by your side falling into stride with you and your brother.
âY/N wants to try out for the Vixenâs.â You glare at Archie turning to explain youâre not planning on following through but the excitement on Bettyâs face has you hesitating.
âI was wondering if youâd be willing to show me some moves? Just so Iâm not totally lost when-â Betty nods tugging you into a hug.
âThis is going to be the best! You can come over after school and practice if you want!â
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
âY/N hey!â You wave to Betty as she calls out to you.
âHey Betty, did I miss anything?â She beams excitedly starting to talk to you about all the routines Cheryl is making everyone learn for the next season. You sigh changing glaring as you pull your top down after having tangled your arms in it. Betty stays quiet as you curse at your shirt before pulling the shorts for your practice uniform on.
âI donât understand why Cheryl has to make us learn all new routines every time. Like we can reuse some of the moves, no one will notice.â Betty laughs shaking her head.
âItâs good for us to learn new things.â You nod along with her, following her to the gym you wave to Veronica and Josie.
âIt is but not when I get muscle cramps that last for the entire day. Iâm still not used to all the movement.â You whine half heartedly glaring at Cheryl.
âI have a couple heat packs you can use, to see if that helps? I can give them to you after practice.â She turns to focus on Cheryl and you smile back at her.
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
You try your best to focus on your own clothes, on your own bubble of space but that goes out the window when Betty walks up, half dressed holding out the heat packs. You take them muttering thanks trying to keep your gaze as far away from her lack of sweater top as possible. Cheryl stops you before you leave, calling you back with a wave of her hand.
âItâs pathetic you know.â You frown at her.
âIâm trying to learn the routineâs best as I can.â
âNo, thatâs fine, you and Betty, youâre pining after each other like lovesick puppies, itâs annoying, fix it.â She states and walks off leaving you to activate one of the heat backs shoving it under your shirt.
âHoly fuck.â You whisper as you walk out, the normal ache you feel from practice is almost completely gone. Youâre so distracted by not feeling pain that you stumble into Betty face first.
âShit, sorry Betts.â She smiles brightly.
âNo problem Y/N, you okay? You know if you were having that much trouble you could have asked for help again.â
âTrouble?â You look up confused. Betty nods, her eyebrow creasing in worry.
âCheryl said she held you back cause she was saying she might have to cut you from the team. If youâre struggling that much with the new routine we can practice after school, you can come over. No one will be home this weekend so you donât have to worry about embarrassing yourself I swear!â She smiles brightly nodding and you canât help but nod back.
âSounds great.â She turns and you catch her arm.
âBetty, thank you. For helping.â She smiles hand patting yours.
âAnything for you, now I have to go help with the blue and gold Iâll see you at lunch.â As she walks off and you watch her go you catch Cherylâs eye she mouths a âyouâre welcomeâ before retreating with the rest of the squad.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
Youâre nervous, despite living next door to Betty and having been over to her house too many times to count, knowing that Cheryl Blossom had a hand in arranging this makes you wary.
âI wanted to thank you for the heat packs, those saved my life the other day.â She smiles.
âItâs no problem, now where do you want to practice?â
âYour room? Just in case someone comes home, besides I have most of the big moves down, itâs really just the timing.â She smiles nodding to the stairs.
âWell good thing you wonât be alone practicing.â She opens the door to her room and you wave to your brother who stands at his window.
âYou have a great view of him, half the girls on the team must be jealous of you.â You nudge her and she shakes her head.
âNot much of a view to be honest. Nothing exciting happens, mostly laundry.â She laughs and you mock being offended.
âIâll have you know I work very hard folding his shirts.â
âWhy do you do it anyways? He can fold his own shirts you know.â You nod panicking trying to find a reason.
âChores. Have to put away all the laundry, besides his room is a mess anyways.â You chuckle.
âSorry Iâm probably not painting him in the best light I swear heâs better than I make him out to be, totally justified in having a crush on him anyways.â You shrug, rambling slightly as Betty fiddles with the music.
âI donât.â She turns to you and you furrow your brow.
âYou donât have a crush on him? But you and Kevin talk all the time about him..â You speak.
âWell yeah Kevâs really into him, Iâm not that interested.â
âOh you go for the brooding loner type like Jughead then?â You laugh as she starts the track abruptly, pulling you up to have you mirror her steps. You try to brush off how bothered she looks and as you both finish the routine she offers you a half smile.
âSorry, about earlier. Iâm not into Jughead. I; I prefer girls.â You stare Betty keeping her eyes on the ground.
âIâm a girl.â You clap your hands over your mouth as Betty looks up at you.
âFuck; I mean like thatâs okay that you like girls, I like girls too and I mean have you seen Veronica, or Josie, like you can totally get with either of them, hell you can get with anyone you want to be fair, I bet half the Vixenâs would wanna get with you if they liked girls too; sorry Iâm rambling.â
âOh, well I donât particularly like Veronica or Josie in that way. Theyâre good friends.â You smile, nodding.
âThatâs good the. Iâm pretty sure Archie is way too into Veronica he whineâs about her any chance he gets. Itâs annoying.â
âAbout being able to get with the Vixenâs..â She starts and youâre already running through all the others trying to figure out which one she has a crush on, or at least would want to hook up with.
âYeah?â Your mouth goes dry as she bites her lip.
âAre you in that half?â She smiles and youâre sure your face is as pink as her room. You swallow better to get the rejection over with.
âYes, but itâs-â
âGood.â
âGood?â You repeat looking confused as she just smiles more.
âYou should pull the curtain.â
âI should?â
âDo you want your brother to see me kissing you?â You jerk forward wrenching the curtain over he window.
âSorry; was that too much?â You run your hand through your hair shaking your head.
âI can tone it down if you want.â Bettyâs hand reaches for yours, pulling you close.
âI donât want you to change, I like you for a reason.â You nod letting her pull you flush against her as she presses her lips to yours.

Competition
(Not my gif)
Third person POV
Betty was showing Veronica around due to her being the head of the welcoming committee. You caught Veronica's eye.
"Who is that hot specimen?"Veronica says pointing at you.
"That is my best friend Y/N. I haven't seen her all summer long. She has been busy with training to become a quarter back." Betty says looking at you up and down.
"I can see that. Betty mind putting in a word for me." Veronica says in awe.
"I would but she has everyone going after her. Including Cheryl Blossom." Betty says looking away from Veronica.
"Well I am going to have to help myself then." Veronica says devising a plan to get your attention.
"I don't think so. She is mine"Cheryl says walking past Veronica and Betty, and then Cheryl walks to you and starts talking to you placing her hand on Y/N arm everyone so often.
Later at lunch
You walk to your table and see Betty, Veronica and Kevin talking about gossip surrounding Veronica's family.
"Hey can I sit?"You say to Betty she moves over to let you sit beside her.
"I am Veronica Lodge, what's your name hottie." Veronica says holding her hand out, pretending that she doesn't know who you are.
"Y/N Y/L/N, nice to meet you." You say shaking her hand.
"Anyways how are you? I haven't seen you all summer."Betty asks.
"Well Betts did I lot of training for football, that's about it."You wrap your arm around Betty giving her a side hug. Betty blushes softly at your gesture.
"Yeah we can all see that. If I wasn't gay I would be all over you." Kevin says joining the conversation. Everyone chuckles. Someone clears there throat and looks up to see Cheryl standing over everyone.
"What are you four hens gossiping about. Maybe Y/N new found physique, or the fact that the new girl is over stepping her boundaries. Betty mind moving over I wanna sit next to Y/N" Cheryl's says and Betty being her nice self moves over as do you. Cheryl sits next to you touching your arm.
"Just talking about what we did over the summer." Betty says.
"Well you girls should join the cheer leading team. That includes you Betty even though you have a very busy jam packed schedule. Toodles."Cheryl walks away swaying her hips.
"We totally should try out, so we can cheer on the hottest football player there."Veronica says winking at you.
"Maybe, last time I auditioned Cheryl said I was to fat."Betty says looking away.
"Don't listen to what she says, your beautiful. I have to go but I will see you guys later." You says getting your stuff and leaving.
For the rest of the week Veronica and Cheryl were trying to get your attention by flirting and giving you gifts. You were in the lounge with Betty because you were having trouble with a math problem. You had your arm around Betty. Veronica and Cheryl came bursting into the student lounge.
"Y/Nkins want to go on a date later?âVeronica says shoving Cheryl.
"Hey I was going to say that." Cheryl says glaring at Veronica.
"I am sorry what's going on here?âYou say waving your finger at the two girls in front of you.
"We both have a crush on you and have been trying to get your attention all week."Veronica says.
"You need to chose which one of us you like because we know you like one of us."Cheryl says.
"Well this is awkward, but I don't like either of you."You say rubbing the back of your neck.
"WHAT!!" Both the girls say in sync.
"I like Betty. Sorry about the timing Betts but I really like you. Does that help clear the air?" You say to the two girls they both storm out. You turn your attention back to Betty.
"I really like you too. I wanted to say that for a while actually. Now lets get back to the math problem."Betty says looking back at the paper in front of you.
"Um actually I know how to do the math problem, I kinda use that as an excuse to hangout with you more." I say taking the paper and putting it back in your back pack.
"Your such a dork."Betty says shoving you.
"What can you blame me you look cute when explain stuff for me."You say, Betty blushes and kisses your cheek softly.
"Anyways wanna go on a date later? Pop's has a Vanilla milkshake with your name on it."You say to her.
"I would love to. Now put your arm back around me."Betty says grabbing your arm and putting back into place.
"No problem princess."You say kissing her cheek.

I'm Fine (Betty Cooper x Reader)
Requested by anon: Hi! I love your page, could you please do Betty with a reader who's sick?
Getting sick while on vacation with your girlfriend was not fun, especially when she had planned out the entire weekend for the two of you. Betty had not left your side since you had not started feeling well, and you had insisted that she enjoyed the trip without you. Of course, she was not having it. Being the girlfriend that she was, she was not about to just leave you when you started feeling under the weather. She had always been so selfless, and you did not have it in you to say no when she offered to take care of you.Â
You knew that Betty would be returning with food, since she had left your apartment to get some food and medication for you when you were sleeping. As you laid down, you decided that you would take a quick nap while waiting for your girlfriend to get back. As you closed your eyes, you heard the door unlocking, and you opened them slowly.Â
Betty was standing at the doorway, looking down at you with concern. "Oh my God," she said softly. "Are you okay, babe?" She placed her bag on the ground and made her way to you.Â
"I'm fine," You assured her, trying to sit up. "It's just a stupid cold."Â
She put her hand on your chest, pushing you back down into your previous position. "You don't need to get up. I'm going to go ahead and make you some soup, okay?" She was talking softly to you, which was a change. She normally did not speak softly to you unless something was wrong. You guessed that you had just gotten used to her normal demeanor and tone. "And don't you try and get up again, (Y/N)." She pushed your bangs away from your forehead. "I'm going to get your temperature checked and then I will get the medicine, okay?" She kissed your forehead before leaving the room.Â
You closed your eyes and listened to the sound of the soup cooking. Your girlfriend had always been so caring and it made your heart warm, even though she was taking care of you for the sake of your health.Â
Betty returned with a bowl of soup and a small thermometer. She sat the bowl down on the coffee table and picked up the thermometer. She gave you a small smile before placing the end of it in your mouth. She placed a hand on your cheek as she waited for the thermometer to beep. You knew how this worked, so you kept your mouth open as it went off, which earned you a chuckle from Betty. She removed it from your mouth, checking the number before placing it back on the table. "Oh, good," she said. "It seems like your temperature has gone down some. You must've just needed to sleep, and your body was able to get rid of it." She grabbed a spoon and dipped it into the soup. "I'll give you a few minutes to finish your soup and then we can get some medicine into you."Â
You nodded and sat up as she fed you some soup. It seemed as though Betty was over-cooking the noodles, but it was cute of her to take care of you, and you did not say anything as you ate it. Betty kept giving you small smiles and the soup was gone before you knew it. She grabbed your plate and walked over to the sink, placing it in and washing it off. "Let's get some medicine in you now, and then you can take a nap."Â
You nodded and watched her as she made her way back over to you. She sat down on the couch next to you and held the bottle out for you to take. "There are some pain pills in there that should help your headache, so I think that is what you should start with." She uncapped the bottle and poured two pills into her hand. She handed them to you and watched as you took them. She gave you a glass of water to chase them down and then watched as you swallowed. "Let's see if we can get that down you, okay?"Â
You gave her a nod and opened your mouth slightly for her. Betty looked at you, shaking her head and placing her hand on your chest again to stop you from getting up. "No, babe, you are not getting up. You need to stay sitting." She reached out to your mouth, placing a thumb on your bottom lip. "Open." She placed her thumb between your lips, slowly sliding her finger down your tongue. She removed it once you had swallowed and took your face in her hands. "Good girl." She gave you a soft smile and gave your cheek a soft pat. "Now lay back down and take a nap." She stood up from the couch and looked down at you. "I'll be in the kitchen if you need me."Â
You laid back down, getting as comfortable as possible before drifting off into a much needed sleep.Â
The next day, you were feeling much better and had convinced Betty that she should go out and enjoy the day without you. You could tell she was disappointed, but she agreed and made her way out the door. As she left, you changed out of your sweatpants and t-shirt and into some normal clothes, throwing a beanie on your head. You were going to walk around for a little bit and get some fresh air. You did not get to do that very often since you spent so much time indoors at work, so you figured it was the best time to do it.Â
As you got ready to leave your apartment, your door opened and Betty walked in. "Oh, good, you're all dressed up." She shut the door behind her and looked at you. "I was going to make you some soup, since I figured you'd be hungry after I was gone for a couple hours." She crossed her arms over her chest and smiled at you. "I just got you some of your favorite food."Â
You sighed softly, knowing that she was not going to allow you to leave without at least eating something. "That would be nice," you said with a soft smile. "But if you're really busy, you don't have to worry about getting me anything, Betty."Â
She placed her hands on her hips and gave you a small pout. "No, no, itâs really not a big deal. We can start eating it now if youâd like." She gave you a smile and walked into the kitchen. You shook your head and chuckled softly, not able to believe how lucky you were to have her as a girlfriend.Â
Betty walked you back into the living room with a smile on her face. She patted the couch and then sat down on the next to you. She pulled your beanie off your head and then leaned over, pressing her lips against yours. "I love you, (Y/N)." She looked at you with the softest look in her eyes and placed a hand on your cheek. "Hopefully youâll get better soon, babe. I've just been worried about you."Â
You gave her a nod and then wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her in close. "I know, Betty. I donât want you to stress about me.âÂ

Fangs//Like Lovers Do
Request:Â I donât really have any sort of plot but like could you write some sort of Fangs/Reader using the song Like Lovers Do, by Hey Violet, it gives me really big Southside Serpentâs vibes tbh
Warning: Little bit of smut but not much
âCome on Y/n! Itâll be fun!â Toni pleaded. Both of you were in her trailer. She was doing her hair while you were sat on her bed scrolling through your phone.Â
âI donât really think its my type of thing.â You shook your head and she looked at you with a pout.Â
âPleaseeee?â She asked and you laughed softly. âYouâre a serpent and youâve only ever been to the Wyrm twice.âÂ
âThats because the Wyrm isnât really my thing.â You replied and she rolled her eyes.Â
âThe Wyrm is every serpents things. Its like serpent city there.âÂ
âYou told me that serpent city was the trailer parkâŠand Southside HighâŠand the Quarry, oh and the field that everyone hangs out a-âÂ
âI know what I said.â She shushed you, placing a finger on your lips. You laughed and she glared at you. âBut. The Wyrm really is serpent city.âÂ
âYou do know that Iâve only been a serpent for two weeks right?âÂ
âYes. I was there.â She shook her head. âBut in the first two weeks that I was a serpent, I was there every night and Iâd gotten a job there. The first two weeks Sweet Pea was a serpent, he was there every night as well as day, and heâd also been arrested twice, but thats a different story.â She said and you shook your head.Â
âIâve never met Sweet PeaâÂ
âSo?âÂ
âOr the other one because I know youâre gonna start talking about him.âÂ
âFangs.â She told you.Â
âYeah, Iâve never met him either.âÂ
âWhats that got to do with anything?âÂ
âThat means its not relevant.â You shrugged.Â
âIt is!â She argued.Â
âNope.â You replied, not even looking up from your phone.Â
âYouâre impossible!â
âI know.â You said, trying to contain a laugh. Toni had always been easy to annoy, and you did it every chance you got.
âPlease Y/n. Itâll be fun!âÂ
âFine.â You finally agreed and she squealed.Â
âGreat. Lets go!â
Half an hour later, Toni had practically pushed you into the busy bar. She greeted a few people as she followed you, and waved to two boys across the bar.Â
âIâm gonna go get us some drinks. Do you want youâre usual?â She asked and you nodded, feeling slightly intimidated. She seemed to sense that and placed a reassuring hand on your arm. âIts fine. Youâre one of them.â She reassured you and you smiled softly at her.Â
âIâm gonna go stand in that corner okay?â You pointed in a general direction and she nodded.Â
âHave fun.â She smiled at you and you nodded before wandering to the corner. Leaning against the wall you looked around the crowded bar. Serpents were drinking, laughing and smoking literally every where you looked and you smiled to yourself. You looked in the direction of the bar to see Toni still in the queue and sighed, deciding to people watch again. You looked around once more, your eyes landing on the two boys that Toni had waved at. The shorter one was staring at you, watching you as you looked around. His eyes narrowed once you made eye contact and you sent him a smile. He was hot, like really fucking hot and you were kinda mad that Toni hadnât introduced the two of you. He winked at you making you blush before he turned his attention back to his friend.Â
A couple more minutes passed and you were starting to wonder what was keeping Toni, however you were having fun by yourself. You and the handsome stranger had been making eye contact every so often, sending each other winks and smirks and the sexual tension was building. It was clouding the room almost as much as the smoke swirling around you. Â
Pushing yourself off the wall you approached the stranger, who was now alone. He stood up properly when he saw you approach and started to walk towards you.Â
âHi.â He said once you had met half way. You placed a finger over his lips and grabbed his hand, pulling him into the womenâs bathroom. Once inside, you quickly checked to see if there was anyone else in there. When you were sure, you locked the door and pushed him against it. âIâm Fangs by the way.â He introduced himself.Â
âY/n.â You replied and kissed him quickly, he instantly kissed back, his hands going to your hips and gripping them tightly. âAre you okay with this?â You pulled back and he nodded quickly.Â
âDefinitely.âÂ
âGood.â You smiled and he kissed you again, switching places with you and pushing you against the door.Â
You moaned as his hand tangled in your hair, pulling it lightly. Your hands worked quickly, taking his shirt off and throwing it on the floor. You traced his abs while he trailed kisses down your jaw and neck, leaving marks as he went.Â
He pulled away from you and you both smiled slightly at each other, your lipstick was smudged, not only on yourself but on his lips and that turned you on even more. He grabbed the bottom of your shirt and pulled it over your body, dropping it on top of his. His fingers traced your chest before pulling your bra down and pinching your nipples making you gasp. His left hand continued playing with your nipples, while his right trailed down your stomach and dipped into your jeans. His fingers traced over your clothed core and your head dropped to the crook of his neck, peppering kisses anywhere you could and leaving a trail of lipstick.Â
Small moans left your lips and Fangs smirked down at you. He pulled his hand away and you whined at the loss of contact. He rolled his eyes at you, making you glare at him before he kissed you harshly.Â
âI think I love you.â He mumbled against your lips and you laughed.Â
âLove is just a four letter word.â You pulled away. âAnd we only just met.âÂ
âAnd? Thats never stopped anybody.â He replied.Â
âDo you talk like this all the time? Because I can definitely think of a better use for your mouth.âÂ
âEither way, weâre gonna lose.â He continued.
âAre you really that bad?â You raised an eyebrow.Â
âWouldnât you like to know?âÂ
âKinda yeah if weâre gonna do this.âÂ
âRight.âÂ
âAre you gonna fuck me or do I have to talk to your taller friend.â You challenged and his expression darkened.Â
âHe could never fuck you the way I could.â He whispered in your ear and you shivered. He pulled his jeans and boxers down, letting them pool at his ankles and you quickly followed.
âReady?âÂ
âY/n! Y/n!â Toni waved her hand in front of your face and you shook your head. The daydream you had just been in quickly disappeared, and Toni was stood in front of you, a confused look on her face and a drink in her hand. âI was only gone for five minutes, I came back and you were a million miles away.â She laughed and you smiled, taking the drink from her. âSo, come on. Spill.â
âWhoâs that?â You pointed to the guy in the corner of the room.Â
âThats Fangs.â Toni replied, looking over her shoulder. You smiled at her and took a sip of your drink before turning around fully and walking towards him. He was already looking at you, a smirk present on his face and he looked you up and down. âWhere you going?â She asked confused.Â
âDonât wait up.âÂ

Can you do 2, 43, and 123 with Fangs, please?
Iâm assuming this is a reader insert and Iâve only written them like maybe twice before so I apologize in advance
âHow long have you been standing there?â
âFrost the damn cupcakes.â
âOh, did I scare you, big boy?â
Fangs had just taken the cupcakes out of the oven, hissing as he quickly set them on the counter and shook his hand.
âHot!â He jumped over to his phone to put some music on while he waited for the baked goods to cool.
As soon as the beat started, he grabbed the mop and started to sing.
He sounded like a dying cat next to Bruno Mars, but he was alone, so he didnât care, dancing wildly, his limbs flailing everywhere. One of his cats walked in and he picked the animal up, spinning it around in the air before dancing and singing to it.
Once the song was done, he heard a slow clapping behind him and turned around slowly to see your face, letting out a yelp of surprise, dropping the cat.
âAwww, did I scare you big boy?-â you laughed at your friend as his cat rushed past.
âHow long have you been standing there?â
âLong enough to get a goodass show...and maybe lose some hearing. I thought you were in musical theatreâ
He pouted and checked the cupcakes, huffing when they werenât cool enough to frost yet.
âWhy are you here?â
âYou asked me to come over?â
âYeah, but why are you here now? Youâre early.â
âBy like, 10 minutes, itâs not much of a differenceâ
âYouâre never early!â
âWell today is an exception. I had time. You gonna give me another show while we wait for the cupcakes to cool? What flavor are they?â
âVanilla-it was the only option in abuelaâs pantryâ
âNever said vanilla was bad. Now, about the show-â
He groaned and walked over to his phone.
âIâm not gonna indulge youâ
âOh but Fangsy, youâre so fun to watch...please???â
âNope, donât give me those eyes, they wonât work-â
âThey ALWAYS work-â
âNot this timeâ
âFangs-â
âNoâ
âFangsy-â
âNo!â
âPleaseeeâ you saw another one of his cats come in and picked her up, holding her face near his.
âPetunia wants to see youâ
âDo not use my babies against meâ
One of his favorite songs started up. Your face split into an evil grin.
âYou know you want tooooâ you taunted, starting to make the cat dance.
âAh-â the timer went off for the cupcakes.
âSaved by the bellâ he pulled them out of the tins, and grabbed a container of frosting from the cabinet before taking the cat away from you, humming along to the song.
âThis isnât the show I wantedâ
âJust help me frost the damn cupcakes and Iâll give you twentyâ
âOh itâs a dealâ

I Quit Too
Pairing: Fangs Fogarty x Reader
Requested: Nope
Prompts: "What the fuck, is all i have to say to that."
GIF Not Mine
Your knee bounced up and down as you tried to contain the rage that was building the more Jughead spoke. Your boyfriend, Fangs, was currently under scrutiny after being caught dealing drugs. They seem to only see the fact that he did it not the reason for it. You were on his side. You may not like the fact he dealt drugs but you understood why he did it. It was his only option.
Jughead carried on talking and you continued to glare at him. It wasnât until Cheryl let slip what Fangs did saying that he also needs to get stripped of his jacket that you leapt out of your seat and spoke up. "What the fuck, is all I have to say to that!" You exclaimed. Sweet Pea tried to grab your arm to calm you down but you shrugged it off. "No. You were gone Jughead. Fangs needed help and he had nowhere to turn to. You canât blame him for that. You canât just waltz back in after being gone for a good month and kick someone out."
"He broke the rules, Y/N." Jughead said.
"He had no choice." Jughead ignored your plea and held his hand out for Fangs's jacket which he reluctantly took off. "Fine. If Fangs is leaving then so am I."
"Y/N, you donât have to do this." Fangs said, turning to you. He held your hands and spoke lowly so only you could hear.
"I know but I want to." You mumbled. "I love you."

Next time, I pick the movie,â you muttered, burying your face in Fangsâ shoulder.
âDeal, sweetheart.â He kissed the top of your head, wrapping his arm around you to pull you even closer. Â His hand crept to your hip, slowly pushing up the hem of your sweater to rest his palm on the exposed skin. âIf youâre really that scared, though, I suppose I could try to provide a little distraction.â
âFangs!â you squeaked, the feel of his hot skin against your hip shocking you. âWhat are you doing?â
âI think you know, gorgeous,â he murmured, pressing soft kisses into your neck. Â His other hand was on your waist now, too, revealing your midriff as he started pushing off your top.
âWeâre in public,â you hissed, glancing around to make sure no one was watching. âIn a car with very see-through windows.â
âThat hasnât stopped us before.â

Show Me Your Moves/Fangs Fogarty
You sat in the lounge of your new school. You looked around in disgust at all the Northsiders, the same kids that had judged you, taunted you growing up simply because you had been born on the wrong side of the tracks. You watched with disdain as Jughead Jones locked lips with the Northsider, Betty. You heard a snort to your right.
âTypical Jones, mightâve been born on the Southside, but even with a serpent on his back he still tries to fit in with the preps.â You and Fangs snickered in unison at Sweet Peaâs comment, glancing at him sideways as he nudged you in the side. Toni gave you all a look.
âCome on guys, show a little respect. Weâre all here arenât we?â She turned to you, âDidnât you just try out for cheer squad with me yesterday?â Your cheeks burned as jaws dropped around you. You reluctantly met the eyes of Fangs and Sweet Pea. They both had wide eyes.
âCheer squad.â They both deadpanned at once. Toni smirked.
âYep, her moves are even better than mine. Iâm sorry, girl, was that a secret?â
You grimaced, âI only tried out cuz you made me, Topaz, and donât lie to these poor souls, the only reason I made the squad was cuz youâre banging the captain.â
âEu contraire, serpent sister of my beloved, if Toni wasnât here, Iâd definitely back up her statement,â the red-haired cheer captain waltzed in, wrapping a manicured hand around the shoulder of your friend. âYou were the best of all the new girls.â You shook your head.
âWhy didnât anyone tell us she could dance! Why didnât anyone tell us you could dance?â Sweet Pea turned to you with a serious look. You laughed.
âSo what guys, we all knew Toni had moves, whatâs the big deal if I have some too?â Your cheeks were still red as you continued to avoid a certain pair of eyes you knew were still peering into you.
âThe big deal is,â a deep voice all but whispered next to you, drawing closer, âNow weâve got to see them. That is if Toni can force you out of your jacket and into that little cheerleader outfit like she did to get you to try out.â
âFat chance, Fangs. Youâll just have to wait til the next pep rally like the rest of the school,â you said with a wink.
You and Toni had been dancing together since you were in diapers. From dancing on your tippy toes in elementary, to buying your first ballet shoes together after pick-pocketing a Northsider. When you got to Southside High as Freshman, you watched Toni make varsity. You had never been one to dance in front of others, especially a particularly handsome serpent. Ever since 8th grade, youâd had a top-secret crush on Fangs Fogarty. One of the Northside boys had made fun of your old, beat up shoes, and Fangs had taken care of it, and the northsider, for you. You never saw him as just a friend after that, but you knew Fangs only saw you as his childhood best friend, the girl whose pony tails he pulled in first grade, the girl whose eyes he covered for the scary parts of the movie at their first sleepover in fourth, the girl who knew all his deepest secrets and he hers.
Now, you were here, front and center at your first Riverdale High Football game. You pulled down your uncomfortably short skirt again, honestly not even aware you were doing it at this point. You ran your fingers through your hair, sweeping your eyes across the stands, hoping, but also a little nervous, to find familiar eyes looking back. You were met with Sweet Pea, and a smile pulled at the corners of your lips as he dropped an eye in a wink. You returned it, once again meeting with a familiar, if not menacing, pair. You felt a heat in the pit of your stomach, and your teeth pulled at your bottom lip as you maintained eye contact with Fangs. He looked⊠hungry. You liked it.
As the music started, your hips swayed. You ignored the immediate pang of panic, imagining you were back in the gym, just practicing with the girls. Even as your solo approached, you didnât allow yourself the luxury of giving into the nerves. Even then, though, you couldnât ignore the looks you received from your male peers. You couldnât deny the allure of your body as it moved to the beat. You watched as Reggie couldnât peel his eyes off you, suppressed a giggle at Sweet Peaâs wide ones, and quickly looked away upon seeing Fangs again, the hungry look still present, if not magnified. You bit your lip, finishing the dance as applause polluted your ears. You smirked, the praise giving you the confidence you needed to meet Fangsâ gaze once more. You watched his eyebrows raise at your change in demeanor, his lips mirroring the smirk that adorned yours.
You burst through the doors of Popâs, laughing with the girls as you all sauntered to the doors that led downstairs. Veronica had organized an after party for the game at her very own speakeasy, and you grinned at Toni at the thought of getting drunk and letting loose with your friends tonight. As you descended down the stairs you once again met eyes with the boy you couldnât seem to shake. You grinned as he walked up to you, double fisting shots. He handed one to you and you threw it back effortlessly, smiling gratefully.
âMy favorite.â
âYou didnât think Iâd forget your drink, did you babygirl?â he asked, hand grazing your hip. You giggled softly at the pet name, you were such a lightweight.
âWell why donât you go get me another and weâll see?â He sauntered away to grab you another drink. As the night drew on, you felt the stress leave your body. The music filled your ears, the songs blurred together, and all the while, Fangs was close by, dancing with you, whispering sweet nothings in your ear. You were too drunk to wonder why the change in behavior, hours ago you had been best friends. Now, it was like he was seeing you for the first time. You werenât complaining.
It was getting late, youâd probably leave soon. Or at least that was the plan until your favorite song, your song, blasted through the speakers. You turned and locked eyes with Toni, grinning devilishly. You grabbed her hands as you climbed the bar stools, stepping your heel clad foot onto the bar as Toni followed suit, your cheerleading costume still clinging to your hips, the same ones that started swaying. Your hands flew to your hair as your eyes dropped closed. You turned and swayed and when your eyes opened again they were glued to the boy who hadnât left your side tonight. His eyes no longer held hunger, only lust. Your arms crossed across your body and your fingers gripped the fabric. You began peeling the top of your uniform above your head, never losing eye contact with Fangs. His eyebrows furrowed together as you threw the garment to him. He held it tightly, but then you lost your footing, falling directly into his arms.
âI think youâve had one too many princess, letâs get you home.â You smiled lovingly, rubbing your thumb over his cheek. You kissed his nose and giggled. He let out a chuckle. âMaybe a few too many.â
âYou know I like you?â you asked him. Youâd regret that in the morning. He looked at you with eyebrows raised.
âYouâre drunk babe, you wonât even remember this in the morning.â
âBut Iâll remember dancing with you, the way you called me babygirl. Do you like me too, Fangs? Or am I just craazy?â your words slurred but your sentiment was sincere. He gave you a long look.
âIâve liked you for a long time babygirl, just thought you wouldnât feel the same. Didnât want to ruin the friendship and all the other clichĂ©s.â You smiled up at him, and he captured your lips in a kiss, the type that stops time, just for a moment. It felt like forever. Eventually, you pulled away, flashing another small smile.
âHow could I resist your charms, Fogarty?â
âIt was your charms, princess, that were impossible to resist. That little skirt? Those moves? I didnât stand a chance.â
