In order to prove a side wrong, you must understand where they are coming from. And the first article suggests that conservatives believe that it is the desire to fit in that leads to youth emulating their apparently trans friends. That's not been the claim. This isn't an argument of popularity and trying to be unique. This is an argument about influence. You found an article from an outlet that has always been over the top pushing the lifestyle acceptance for this insanity. Confirmation bias at it's finest. If your 2 second google search lasted about 2 minutes more, you would have done research on your sources and compared them to other studies with far more statistical comparison and study. 1/5 youth identify as LGBT. This isn't simply feeling more comfortable coming out. It's lost teens that feel uncomfortable in their body and lives and are being sold the idea that they can transition out of that comfort or transition out of trauma.

Not to get all anecdotal, but I myself and many of my friends gave into the influence and now are mutilated and struggle with infertility because of it. There is NO reason that in the last 12 years our trans population ,in Westernized countries specifically, has skyrocketed.

Teens that have queer identifying peers are 3x more likely to identify as queer themselves. How many children will have to regret their decision for you people to understand that this is majority just mental illness? Also, plastering a copy paste paragraph about how the term social contagion can be misleading doesn't necessarily prove that it isn't warranted in this discussion.

I could spend all day posting things that prove my feelings are right because each of our sides have plenty of bias confirming sources.

Let's use common sense then.

Children are taking irreversible medications and begging to be cut up.

This society has lost it's way. If you think this is what our youth need then you are as sick as I was when I believed the garbage too.

These children need therapy from therapists that aren't in it for monetary gain.

My entire time with my therapist with me and her trying to get a letter for testosterone. Never once screened me properly. Neither did the one I went to after. This is happening is a large scale and I am worried about the future of our society.

I apologize from the bottom of my heart, but I cannot fully disagree with him. It has gotten out of hand. I am a detransitioner and have spoken with countless like me. This social contagion has gotten too much. Surely we must find a way to move away from the insanity that this has become.

So thanksgiving being tomorrow.. I remember one thanksgiving on tumblr I had an anon pop in and tell me that a long list of the churches holidays were actually pagan.. and thanksgiving was included in the list.
