This is a demon [redacted] fic I lost motivation for, but I hope to get it back for in time for spookyfest this year!

You spent your whole life seeing him. The first time you saw him, he was in your dreams. His face was so distinct you knew he wasn’t some imagined person your brain had conjured; high cheekbones, dark eyes that seemed to glow. Even if the dream hadn’t been as… jarring as it was, you would have remembered his face.  The night you saw him for the first time also marked the night you started sleepwalking. You had woken up in the park a few blocks from your home, barefoot in the damp grass and shivering from the cold. Your parents had been distraught, thinking their child was safe and sound in their bed 2 floors up, but instead found you at your locked front door. After that night, he started appearing in your dreams more frequently. He seemed to be the only thing that you could rely on during that time — the only constant in your life. His face in the background of your dreams became a comfort. Until he started speaking to you.
