Hi, I'm not sure if you have time to answer this question, but what kind of Sim would Viola Monty be like regarding personality, aspiration and her relationship with her family and the Capps? How many years older than Mercutio would she be?
Hi! I'm not too busy right now, so I'd be glad to answer this.
I also added a read more for you because this got long.
Honestly, I don't really have many headcanons regarding Viola because she was deleted before the game's release. Really, the only thing I can really do is draw from is the original Shakespeare play for theories.
In terms of her personality, I think she would have been outgoing, as Shakespeare's Viola wasn't afraid of expressing her opinions. I think she'd be somewhere in the middle of the nice spectrum, since the only time Shakespeare's Viola compliments Olivia is when she's either relaying Orsino's messages, or when she's trying to cheer her up. Given that Shakespeare's Viola worked as a page in Twelfth Night, I'd also hazard a guess that Viola Monty was more on the active side as well. When it comes to her playfulness, I think she would have been more on the serious side, if only because of how Shakespeare's Viola took her duties to the Duke seriously. Not sure about her neatness levels though, you'll have to get back to me on that.
In terms of aspiration, I think she would have probably been a family sim, given the relationship Viola had with her brother in Twelfth Night. It's possible she could have been a romance sim though, since Twelfth Night's Viola created a love triangle between herself, Orsino, and Olivia.
I feel like her relationship with Olivia would have been slightly complicated since, while Olivia thought fondly of Viola in Twelfth Night, Viola didn't start off liking Olivia very much because she had a thing for Orsino. In this case, it wouldn't have been because of both Olivia and Viola being involved in a love triangle, since the Monty versions of them would have been mother and daughter. Instead, I think it could have been a result of differing opinions regarding the feud. As for her brothers, I think her relationship with them might have been cordial, but slightly distant. I feel like she and Claudio would have butted heads, what with Dio's two nice points and Viola's bluntness probably not being a great mix.
Given that Shakespeare's Viola was tasked by Orsino to pass messages back and forth between him and Olivia, it could have been a case where Viola Monty ingratiated herself with the Capps on behalf of someone else. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd assume Puck because he's a shy boy. Also, Puck being the one she passes messages to doesn't create a weird thing where Viola has a thing for one of her brothers. As for Tybalt, I'd assume he wouldn't want anything to do with Viola, so I doubt ask her to pass around his love notes.
Given what happened in Twelfth Night, odds are Viola Monty could have charmed one of the female Capp teens. Of the three candidates, I'd assume she would have inspired feelings in Hermia for a few reasons. First, Hermia's the one that Puck Summerdream is canonically interested in. Second, like Olivia in Twelfth Night, Hermia has recently lost close family members, and both her personality and memories imply that she might have closed herself off emotionally. Finally, Hermia's the only premade female teen in Veronaville who has a neutral attraction towards female sims, so Viola Monty's existence might have explained her preferences a bit better and not caused me to scratch my head a few years back when I learned of it.
As for the Mercutio thing, they could have been twins, since Shakespeare's Viola was a twin herself (when looking at it from that perspective, it's possible she could have been Romeo's twin prior to deletion instead). At the same time, there could have also been a Sebastian Monty who was deleted along with her. Given that I'm not sure regarding the birth order between the twins in Twelfth Night, I can't say for sure if she might have been older or younger than Mercutio and Romeo, but I think she would have been either the oldest or youngest of the three.
I do have some headcanons inspired by her though, specifically that Viola is one of Olivia Monty's favorite names, and one she would have used if she had a daughter. I also headcanon that she gave Hero permission to use for Beatrice back in the day, but Mercutio and Romeo's desire for a cousin "Ben" derailed that (neither Antonio nor Hero thought that "Benedick and Viola" went well together as names for twins). Instead, Antonio and Hero opted to use Viola and Sebastian as the twin's middle names.
Another headcanon inspired by Shakespeare's Viola relates to Olivia Monty's romantic and sexual orientations. Basically, I headcanon Olivia as either bi or pan, with her sapphic awakening occurring when she started having feelings for Bianca back in school (to the point that, years later, she still referred to Bianca as her "first love"). That said, she never acted on them because she didn't want to ruin their friendship, and much like her Twelfth Night counterpart, Olivia Monty eventually married her object of affection's brother.

The Six Veronaville Tragedies
WARNING: This essay is centered around death, so please note that many different aspects related to that topic will likely be discussed here, some of which might be triggering to certain people. As such, reader discretion is advised.

Obligatory Warning Word Count: 38 words Essay Word Count: 11,671 words Obligatory Thank You Word Count: 170 words Total Word Count: 11,879 words
As I have mentioned in the past, I find one of the most interesting aspects of Veronaville to be the mystery surrounding the recent deaths of six premade sims. The sims in question on the Capp side are Cordelia Capp, Caliban Capp (né Gale), and Contessa Capp; while the sims in question on the Monty side are Claudio Monty, Olivia Monty (née Dottore), and Hero Monty (née Arlecchino). It is unknown which of these six was the first to die; however, given the memories of their surviving relatives, we know that Cordelia and Claudio were the first to die on their sides, followed by Caliban and Olivia, and finally Contessa and Hero. So, with this in mind, let’s look at some information the game has provided us with before we begin to theorize anything.

Hi, thank you for the detailed answer last time! I'm also wondering, what pets have you given to the premade families, and what dates of birth do you imagine for the 3rd to 5th generation Sims, based on their signs?
Hi! You're most welcome!
Honestly, I don't really give the premades pets all that much because I can't bear to watch the pets eventually die. That said, I definitely see Tybalt with a fuckton of cats when he's an adult (three of which are named Peter, Sampson, and Gregory).
As for birthdays, I have a list of all of them on my computer. Most of the dates are references to their original plays or historical figures, but I forgot to write down what they were, XP:
Capp Manor
Consort: November 1st
Hermia: September 10th
Juliette: July 11th (Shakespeare's Juliet was born on July 31st, but Juliette Capp is a Cancer, not a Leo, so I couldn't use that one.)
Tybalt: May 26th
Monty Ranch
Isabella: March 29th
Mercutio: December 6th
Patrizio: November 24th
Romeo: April 13th
Summerdreams
Bottom: August 6th
Oberon: December 2nd
Puck: May 2nd
Titania: November 28th
Capp (Goneril)
Albany: April 10th
Ariel: December 10th
Desdemona: May 16th
Goneril: December 26th
Hal: April 9th
Miranda: June 23rd
Capp (Regan)
Cornwall: September 19th
Kent: February 8th
Regan: August 30th
Monty (Not Ranch)
Antonio: July 18th
Beatrice and Benedick: December 3rd (Bea is a Pisces in-game, but she was born with a Sagittarius personality. Since Ben is a Sagittarius, I settled on their shared birthday occurring in late November/Early December)
Bianca: June 21st
Dead Capps
Caliban: December 29th
Contessa: October 30th
Cordelia: September 15th
Dead Montys
Claudio: November 7th
Hero: March 24th
Olivia: September 23rd
I don't have birth years picked out because I'm not too sure which year it's supposed to be in Veronaville (I picture it being during the 2000s, but not sure which year). Not only that, but I'm not too sure about how old everyone is supposed to be. As such, I only have the months and days picked out.

Hey, i hope you are doing well. I want to know what is your headcannon about who is the favorite child for Cordelia, Caliban, Albany and Goneril, since for the other cases its more clear, i guess? I always saw Juliette suffering from the middle child sindrome and being somewhat neglected by her parents compared to Hermia and Tybalt.
Hi! I'm doing fine, thank you. My answer got long, so I added a "read more"
I don't really see Cordelia and Caliban having a favorite child, tbh. Personally, I feel like they loved all three equally, though some *cough*Tybalt were definitely more challenging than others.
I can definitely see how you might see Juliette as suffering from middle child syndrome, but I sort of have a different view. While Juliette was their middle child, she was also their eldest daughter. As such, she still got a lot of attention in the matrilineal Capp family, especially compared to what one of her Aunt Regan went through. Unlike her parents, who had clear favorites, Cordelia always made sure to show affection whenever she could to all of her kids.
Albany's in the same boat as C&C in terms of loving his kids equally, but Goneril's a weird case.
One of my headcanons about Goneril is that she's someone who is riddled with insecurities. I picture her decision to have more children to be less of her genuinely wanting a big family, and more a case of her trying to pop out a suitable heiress. Once one of her kids failed to impress Contessa, she would have another as soon as she could. For the longest time, her favorite would be the one who Contessa liked the most, at least until Ariel was born.
Since it wasn't long after Cordelia died, Goneril thought naming Ariel after her late sister might score her some brownie points with her mother. Unfortunately for her, Contessa's filter seemed to die along with Cordelia, and Goneril found out the hard way that trying to kiss Contessa's ass wasn't going to get her anywhere. No matter how many kids she had, none of them would be good enough for her mother, which was made even more clear when Contessa made Juliette her heiress.
Nowadays, Goneril likes her children just about equally. She can be hard on them at times, but she's genuinely trying her best to be a good mom. In terms of which child she gets along with the best, it would probably be Ariel, since there's much less baggage with her than with the other three.

Hi again 😊 I was thinking, Miranda's bio vs her personality feels conflicting to me -- she's described as cynical due to not feeling comfortable in a crowded house, while she actually has 8 Nice points. How do you interpret her extent of friendliness? What TS3 traits would you give to her? (I use the 3t2 traits mod). Would you interpret her Romance aspiration as a hopless romantic just like what you imagine for Romeo, or rather as a girl who wants to flirt around?
Also, do you involve the original VV Townies into your canon?
Hi again! :D
When it comes to Miranda, I always pictured her as someone who is naturally very friendly. That said, she will definitely draw the line when someone is giving her loved ones shit. She won't resort to violence, but she will passive-aggressively let her feelings be known (Tybalt tends to get the brunt of this since he's kind of a butt).
Her upbringing definitely made her a bit jaded. It's less that she dislikes her siblings, but she does feel used sometimes since Albany and Goneril don't have any problem making her a babysitter (this is my in-story explanation as to why she missed Puck's party at the beginning of the game).
Outside of the whole sibling thing, another part of Miranda's cynicism comes from her relationship with her mother, as she always felt like Goneril never loved her unconditionally.
When looking at her Shakespeare inspiration, Miranda from the Tempest only has one love interest, and doesn't show any interest in anyone else. That said, there are multiple characters who show an interest in her, so maybe that might be part of it (though all of them, barring Ferdinand, are hella problematic).
A far less problematic take on Miranda's aspiration could be that she became a romance sim in an act of rebellion. Not only are romance sims the polar opposite of family sims, but they're also the sims most averse to having children. Not only is this an act of rebellion against the family-oriented Albany, but it also means she won't keep having kids to improve her self-esteem like Goneril did (which Miranda is painfully aware of). I don't think she's completely opposed to having kids, but if she ever decided to have any, she'd definitely be a one-and-done type.
In terms of TS3 Traits, I'd tentatively say she's friendly, a hopeless romantic, rebellious, and perceptive. I went with hopeless romantic over flirty or commitment issues because I feel like it fits better with Miranda's Shakespeare inspiration. Not only that, but I also feel like her being a romance sim was due to her aversion to having too many kids, as opposed to wanting to screw around. I also chose perceptive because I definitely see her as someone who's really good at reading people.
I guess she's kind of like Romeo when push comes to shove. While both of them are romance sims, their Shakespeare inspirations are definitely on the monogamous side. That said, Romeo doesn't have the same kind of baggage that Miranda has regarding kids. He wouldn't have as big of a problem with Juliette wanting a bunch of kids in the future, but he'd prefer having them when he feels like he can be present in their lives (which is a result of having a somewhat absent father).
As for the townies, I mostly keep them as background characters since they don't have any ties to Shakespeare canon. That said, Demi Love, Carmen Patch, and Adult!Carla McCullough do have a larger role than most townies. The three went to school with Cordelia, and they were really awful to her when Cordelia was having a really hard time (and they didn't hesitate to use homophobic slurs on Kent when he tried to defend her). It got so bad that Contessa used her position on the school board to not only expell them from Veronaville Prep, but also blackball them from any private school she could think of. Not content with that, she also used her position as a corporate bigshot to blackball them from a number of big name companies too.

What kind of music tastes do you imagine for the Summerdreams and the Capp teens? Here are my imaginations:
Tybalt: either angsty rock or hard-hitting trance/techno, or both.
Juliette: mainstream pop and R&B
Hermia: gothic rock, some kind of metal subgenre, later on also emo
Miranda: some kind of heavy metal
Titania: house and trance, but also new age and chillout (e.g. Enigma)
Oberon: latin (inspired by his TS3 traits), groovy house, disco, 90s dance classics.
Puck: soft rock (e.g. Coldplay) and other introspective kinds of music, but I haven't specified further. But I see him also liking pop-punk. Not specified yet how he would feel about typical party music, like electro house, cheesy trance, hip-hop.
Hi! I have a few ideas about their music tastes, but I only used TS2's radio station names (and genres sims can perform on instruments) due to just how many music genres there are in the world.
Tybalt:
Metal (for workouts and to get himself pumped for his next Monty beatdown)
College Rock
Rock
Surf
Juliette:
Classical (she always liked the genre, but Contessa really influenced her current tastes)
Pop
R&B
Country (but mostly the older stuff, I think she'd especially like music by Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline)
Hermia:
Classical
Jazz
College Rock
New Age
Miranda:
Metal (it helps that it pisses Goneril off)
Techno (also pisses Goneril off)
Rock
Indie Wave
Titania:
Classical (she especially likes Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream overture and incidential music and Purcell's The Faerie Queen opera)
Anything she plays at her DJ gig. (slow, medium, fast, and housemix)
New Wave and New Age
Big Band
Oberon:
Classical (see Titania)
Jazz (he appreciates the genre's complexities)
World and Salsa (he finds listening to both genres to be a great way to broaden his horizons regarding mortal cultures)
Big Band
Puck:
Classical (he likes the same stuff that his parents do, but he also uses it to unwind)
New Age
Jazz
Anything Titania plays on her DJ booth (especially Housemix)

Hey, what do u think about this post: https://www.tumblr.com/profesionalpartyguest/693680876043845632/huh-cornwall-is-canonically-hermias-dad?source=share
It left me speechless for awhile but I love it.
Hi! I was actually made aware of this little factoid back in 2019 or so, and I actually have a two-part essay planned around it that I'm planning on posting as part of the GVGP (though I'm thinking of expediting part 1, which goes into further detail about what I'm going to cover here). I remember being shocked about Cornwall's French bio, but I eventually rationalized that the last sentence was probably something left over from an earlier version of the neighborhood (and wasn't removed from the French localization for some reason).
Basically, somewhere along the way, I figured that Hermia's parents were switched from Regan and Cornwall to Cordelia and Caliban. Tbh, I'm not exactly sure why the switch happened, mostly because Cornwall and Regan fit better as Hermia's parents from a Shakespeare perspective. For one thing, those two being Hermia's parents better mirrors both Hermia's relationship with her dad in AMSND, along with Rosaline supposedly being Juliet's cousin in Romeo and Juliet. If I had to guess, the switch might have been so that she could have served as Juliette's confidant a la the nurse in Romeo and Juliet, but I can't be completely sure.
Beyond the Shakespeare implications, there are also some gameplay tidbits that seem to support this switch. First, there's Consort's memories, which state that Hermia was born before Juliette. This contradicts their age bars, where Juliette is the older one of the two. Given how aging works in TS2, the only way I could logically explain this discrepancy would be if Hermia grew up in a separate household from Juliette (this also explains why Miranda is listed as being born before Tybalt in Consort's memories, despite her being younger than Hermia when it comes to their age bars).
Another gameplay feature that ties into the Shakespeare inspiration also has to do with Hermia's relationships with Regan and Cornwall, both of which start in the negatives. While I can't say for sure how she felt about Cordelia and Caliban, the game seems to hint that their deaths were the catalyst for Hermia growing up badly, so I would assume that her relationship with them was on the cordial side.
As a compromise for the whole thing, I have a multitude of headcanons regarding Hermia's relationships with both Cornwall and Regan, but that might go into trigger warning territory for some people, so I probably won't elaborate here (my playthroughs offer some explanation, but don't go into the whole story). Let's just say that some things happened that led to both Cornwall and Regan distancing themselves from Hermia while she was younger, and that the latter has resented them ever since.
