The fact that I see artists who consistently draw anthro characters (with furry design sensibilities) saying stuff like “oh but I’m not a FURRY I just draw anthros” is really annoying to me. Like you don’t gotta associate with the label or call yourself a furry but the like embarrassed “oooh I’m not one of THOSE guys” behavior is really childish. Like who cares if you’re a furry or not. You don’t have to keep doing the “I’m not a furry BUT-“ garbage. Free yourself from cringe. Draw animal people without having to give a disclaimer that you’re not “weird” every time.

#YEAHH FRR #for the first time literally ever i learned one of my irls is not a furry but used to be #and simply did not understand the label (she just likes cosplaying lol) #and thinks the furry community is incredibly creative #i dont call myself a furry the label just doesnt quite feel right for me but #GUYS. theyre not ANYTHING that people assume they are. furries are beautiful and creative #and so so impressive with just how unique their art and designs and ideas are #also its not bad to be alterhuman or nonhuman btw. a lot of people assume that being a furry is being alter/nonhuman #but it is not and that does not mean its bad !!!! bites you

Some thoughts on acceleration and force

I presented this in the order of how I slowly understood the trick of delivering force - first an abstract concept of impact taught by Ah Fai, then a more complicated discovery on the acceleration pattern, last back to a more abstract concept of breakdowns. 

Like I’ve previously stressed, 2D animation is everything but one single approach. There’s no one rule that rules them all, but interchangeable ideas with math, or physics, or music, etc. There’s no “perfect” animation either, but what is perceived as organic and dynamic. E.g., using the Fibonacci numbers to animate didn’t bring me a perfect animation! On the other hand, a tiny change in the pattern could already make the feeling of force so much more powerful. 

Not so much of a tutorial than a personal experience. I hope you find this interesting hahaha

YAAYYYY !!!! I FOUND A SUCCESSFUL WAY TO GIVE ROLLY A BATH :33333

so rolly girl has NEVER liked baths, at least never since we got her. shes always a bit dehydrated because no matter how hard i try i can never get her to spend more than a couple minutes in the bath, and she often waits so long to actually eat her morning salad that it mostly dries up so she doesnt get nearly enough water in her

i can tell bc 1: always wrinkly,,, if i gently pinch her skin / scales a bit it doesnt return to its original place, just. sits there. 2: the fat pads on her head are sunken in basically always, but shes a good weight and looks perfectly healthy otherwise, which ive seen / read / been told can be a sign of dehydration if it isnt malnutrition or being underweight

i have tried making the water cooler, making the water hotter, adding more water, adding less water, putting her in the bathtub, putting her in a plastic tub on the counter, pouring water on her, ect and she has never, ever enjoyed it and i always end up having to take her out early out of fear that she'll get hurt

HOWEVER. i have found a solution :3333

if i put her in the sink with the drain plugged (not fully plugged but using like. a strainer plug so the water still drains but she cant fall in or get stuck) and run the water like very low / low pressure and turn the faucet to the shower setting, as long as i dont pour it directly on her, i can get her to stand the bath for like. at least twice the time

because even if im not directly showering her, i can pour water over her back and she doesnt mind and she occasionally would run underneath it (and then immediately back out because she hates her face getting wet SBDHBD) and also its still surrounding her with water, and also the water wont get cold over time bc its from the sink on a warm setting :333

so hopefully i can get her hydrated quickly !!!!!!! ill give her another bath like this tomorrow and see how she looks but she seemed very happy once she got used to it

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
