CONCLUSION
IT IS OVER! We did it, the 5 of us. During the performance we experienced all sorts of problems. I was having quite a big latency, I was trying to play to a 512 buffer size over the network and trying to keep in time. It was challenging.
I think we pulled it off pretty well despite the fact that there were glitches. I think my suggestion for 2 of us to be in the rooms was quite a good idea as the audience can obviously see that we are not in the same space. There was some separation and brought the idea of the possibility of jamming wirelessly.
I learnt alot from handling the loaning of equipment to the taking down of our posters. Lasalle being a school, they need approval , proper emails. They can’t really need official statements. Like our posters, they got taken down the very next morning, I was really surprised that they took it down with such haste.
I also appreciate the lady who spoke to us on the regulations on posters for events inn lasalle. Where the logo should be placed and other stuff.
I really appreciated how patient patrick and his team was. They were helping us not only with their side, which is the sound department, they also help us to talk to facilties, ask if there was an actual booking for our event.
I felt that overall we did pretty well considering this was the first time that we did this. We have also come very far from the time when we first connected to the people from Trinity College.

Right before the performance
We were facing all sorts of problems. Not good.
We station was furthest away from the server. I was experiencing some massive glitches. When I strummed a chord probably only one note rang out and the others were glitches.
I believe that the different networks, like everyone’s mobile phones and all were part of the problem.
Once again we jumped from 128 to 256 , and even to 512 in buffer size. Ultimately we settled on the buffer size of 512. It still had a ton of glitch, but at least it was audible.
30mins before the show we were still trying to troubleshoot. We were really frustrated as people were coming , waiting for us to play. We wanted to put on a good show, and we hope we can do it.

I loaned out the lighting board from the facilities department. There was also some hiccup here as I sent out an email saying that we were coming to collect at 12. Their lunch break was 12 -2. So we went ahead with the sound equipment then loaned out the lighting equipment.

I think the poster situation was a funny one. We did not get the approval to stick our posters up. However, we already printed it and it was just one more day till the event. We decided to just put them up as it was just gonna be up for one day.

I was tasked by Brian to email to the relevant people about the loaning of equipment and approval of the usage of lights.
There were quite a few hiccups here and there. They told me that it wasn’t booked (campus green). They needed an official email from a lecturer and things like that. But we managed to solve it in the end.

Event Schedule
We needed to send out a schedule for others to look at when we request for certain things, mainly equipment so they know when we want to collect stuff from them or what is happening at this time. To basically account for the equipment that has been loaned out to us.

Rehearsals
So today we spent the whole day rehearsing the pieces that we were going to play. We had some trouble as this was still relatively new to all of us, and it is not conventional (plug into a mixer and done)
We were facing issues like audio glitches. How we solved that was to change the buffer size, we tried 128 initially, with 2 users it was doing okay. Once it started to receive all 5 of us, it glitched quite abit.
We moved on to 256 and then 512. We were at 256, it was alright but we were still experiencing some glitches so we thought maybe go to 512. 512 had quite a big delay, latency. I was really hard to play in time with each other as some of us were using live instruments. Actually I think all of us are using live instruments, and if we wanna play a piece that is time based it might be a little frustrating .
