5am in the morning

Past traumas are making their way into my head. I’m trying to drown them with music turned down really low to not wake the kids, and with chores that are way too early to be done right now. There are still so many whys and what ifs in my head, and I can’t speak about them because I promised myself not to. Yet, here I am at 5am in the morning, nursing a still broken heart.

Sad songs

Once, I asked my husband what is the saddest song for him. He said its "Saving all my love for you". He said its all about a person who can't express her feelings because the other person is committed. I told him, there's a sadder song than that. I told him "If the Feeling is Gone" talks about a person who knows she is already left behind but is still pining, hoping, desperately searching for closure.

My husband may have understood the feelings of Whitney Houston in that song, for reasons that break my heart, but it is saddens me to know that he doesn't think that its lonelier to be in a relationship where you're unsure of the love you have.
