Location: Blossom Boutique

After returning to town, the boutique had become one of Waverly’s favorite spots. Not that she was buying up a storm every time she came in, more admiring and getting ideas though she bought enough to ensure she wasn’t just being an annoying window shopper. On this particular day the store was fairly busy but the blonde couldn’t help but focus in on one dark-haired woman who seemed stuck between two colors of a jumpsuit in the same silhouette. Before she could stop herself Waverly opened her mouth. “I’d go with the green, better contrast with your hair-sorry not that it’s any of my business.” She apologized, blushing slightly with embarrassment. “I just can’t help myself when it comes to color and design, but I shouldn’t just start rambling to people who didn’t ask.”

Christina often loved looking at different pieces to put together for work, she was super into fashion. Not being a fan of fast fashion due it’s lack of sustainable options, she loved going to designers, typically local because she truly wanted to support those around her. Blossom Boutique being one of her absolute favorites, her manicured fingers glided over the different fabrics to see which she liked the most, hearing a voice come to her with a suggestion and she smiled in the other’s direction. “Oh no, please suggest away. I absolutely love hearing the opinions of others..” she informed her, picking up the green and giving it a good look.

Jamey grinned wider at his friend and walked into the female’s office. He plopped down into one of the chairs she had in front of her desk. “Hey, I didn’t make the rules here. I only enforce them.” He joked, leaning back into the chair with a relaxed posture. “What are ya working on anyways?” Jamey asked, his eyes roaming over her office before settling on her face.

Cheerful as always, Christina went over to properly close her office door before finally returning to the center of the room and taking a seat on her desk, looking down at him where he was seated. “You know it’s always absolutely lovely to see you, Jamey.” A manicured hand reached out to give his chin a playful pinch as she chuckled. “Well, we’re looking into a new initiative plan for our service staff. A company retreat.” she was so incredibly happy to get this plan going, she really appreciated the staff at the country club. They were family.

Christina often had her cousin over for a tea and chat, today was just one of those days for the two of them. On this particular day, the house staff had been busy beginning their Spring cleaning as Christina waltzed her way through the house, her satin robe whisking away behind her. Despite Clark, the main staffer demanding to help her, Christina liked being self sufficient. She wasn’t someone who felt the need to push her house staff to their limits like some others who were lucky enough to afford it would do. Placing the tray down on the counter, which had tea for the both of them along with fresh fruit, cheese and some meat, she looked up at Hannah with a gentle smile. “How have you been, pretty girl?” she asked, pulling a grape from the tray and popping it into her mouth, chewing away and listening to what her cousin had to say intently.

Ever since the day they met, Jamey and Christina had been close friends. Jamey frequently slept over and was like another member of the Kennedy family. Their bond especially grew when Christina’s mother paid for Jamey to participate in sports during high school. Jamey’s parents always told him there was no money to be wasted on those activities and when he told Christina, well the kindness of the Kennedy’s was something Jamey would never forget. It was a day off for Jamey so he figured he’d go down and bother his friend whilst she worked. Pulling into the country club’s parking lot, Jamey felt a little out of place, like he usually did, in his jeans, band t-shirt, and Vans. Walking in and right past her assistant, he opened her office door and grinned at Christina. “Hello, my love, I have arrived to interrupt the hard work you’re doing so you can now get nothing done.”

Christina had been working on some new plans for ensuring that the staff stayed cool and satisfied over the summer, listening to classical music and humming gently when she heard a voice outside of her office. Last time she had checked, her assistant wasn’t sick and the voice was definitely that of a grown man, so imagine her shock the moment Jamey waltzed his way into her office, her eyes going wide for just a moment before laughing it off. She was aware that Jamey and her assistant were friends as they’d all gone to school together, so he likely didn’t have to ‘check in’ with her before getting access to Christina. She was wearing one of her 70s style pants suits, this time it was red with a pair of hot pink high heels. Her hair was parted down the middle and curled, nails painted red and she had a pair of plastic, hot pink earrings, tying the shoes in. Looking up from her computer for a moment, she shook her head with a smile. “Now Jamey... you know I have to finish this project!” but really, she didn’t mind his company in the least.

Quick Facts:

She is one of five Kennedy siblings (three older brothers and one older sister).

The Fallbrook Country Club has been run by the Kennedy Family since it’s founding.

Though quite independent, she still does live in the Kennedy Mansion with her parents.

Fashion is something she genuinely loves, often wearing well put together outfits, especially when she’s working.

Her current interests include but are not limited to: hiking, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, and learning recipes from the internet so she can become more independent.

Spoiled wouldn’t even begin to describe the upbringing by Christina Amber Kennedy had. She was the baby of a slew of Kennedy children and it was on her to right all the wrongs of her older siblings. Thankfully for her parents, this seemed to be the case as she showed signs of drive, passion and intelligence from a very young age. Early on, there were questions from teachers about things that made her look different. When the other boys in her kindergarten wanted to play sports, she was more focused on how she looked. She was never someone to be overly girly, but she had a natural femininity to her that wasn’t easy to explain for her parents at the time. Thankfully, they were both from rather large cities, being from San Francisco and New York City respectively. Her father, Archie was a tech guy from Silicon Valley and he co-founded a Cyber Security startup with one of his best friends and he met Kristine during their master’s program in Los Angeles. Archie’s father moved from his small town of Fallbrook for college himself and settled in San Francisco where he founded an Investment Management firm, Kennedy Private Wealth Management.

With the blessing of Kristine’s family, they relocated to Fallbrook when they decided to start a family and got to work almost immediately. They had three sons and a daughter before Christina came along. When Christina, originally named Christian came to them with her idea of being Christina, she was just six years old and thankfully, they were both incredibly open and supportive of her. Of course, they took the necessary steps, having had friends who were trans, they wanted to make sure she was well taken care of. Countless therapy sessions later, she finally started hormone therapy when she was in her pre-teens and she was even more comfortable in her skin. Truth be told, while she did experience dysphoria, she was never completely upset with her body or who she was. She took it one day at a time.

Her parents wanted her to do whatever made her happy and during her formative years, it was a mixture of playing volleyball and participating in pageants. Sometimes she would have to deal with the discriminatory comments from people who felt she shouldn’t be included in female pageantry, but she overcame these obstacles and would finish in the top 3-5 consistently. This would spill into adulthood as she was Miss North Carolina in 2020 but would ultimately be eliminated during the Miss USA competition. But rewinding to just before this, she had a very successful high school career due to her intense studies. Having taken mostly AP classes, it was a long, hard road to the discovery of her getting into Harvard. Surprisingly, not her first choice and after a third rejection, she was fed up and wanted nothing to do with the letters until that acceptance from Harvard came through.

Studying Business Management with the goal of taking over her father’s business eventually. That business being the Fallbrook Country Club, a staple that had been in the Kennedy family since the founding of the Country Club. Though his own father, Christina’s grandfather hadn’t taken on the business, one of his uncles dad, and he would then pass it on to Archie and his family. That was where Christina and her siblings came in. The oldest brother was focused more on eventually becoming the new CEO, while another sibling was focused on Marketing, and Christina focusing on Operations. The other siblings are involved to some facet, but not as heavily as the three mentioned.

Right out of college, she started working as an Operations Manager for Fallbrook Country Club, where she helped reform company culture, raised wages and implemented employee initiatives such as meal credits for office-side employees and provided meals once a week for other employees. The man she had met in college was someone she dated up until the day he passed away due to a fatal motorcycle accident. She was incredibly broken by this and decided to focus more on her work during this time. The two had just gotten engaged and she pulled him away from his family in Boston, she felt absolutely terrible. His family didn’t blame her though and they would remain close even after his passing.

After four years of focusing so deeply on work, she was promoted in early 2022 to Director of Operations, where she would oversee the entire business from an Operations standpoint. Romance was kind of put on the backburner, she wasn’t sure when it was appropriate to get back into the dating world, so she continued to focus on work for as long as she could.

She is well aware that nepotism put her in the spot she’s in today, but she works just as hard as other employees, if not more to prove herself. She wants the best for the country club her family has kept so near and dear to them for generations and has plans to share this with her own children someday.
