your life is not their life. and especially once you get to the point of uni, it’s none of their business anymore.

however i know that, right now, it’s not as easy as just that.

not everyone goes to prestigious universities. most people don’t. the only thing you have to do is do your best. work hard while taking care of your health, and do the best you can do.

if that ends in a fancy big building with a reputation? awesome. if it doesn’t? if it ends with you somewhere totally different? that’s awesome too.

life is different for everybody. i know you can’t just ignore and disregard your parents, but their stupidly high standards do not make any of your accomplishes less than worthy.

could you meet with an advisor to ask for help and find out if you have any other options?

there are a few reasons i hate the school system, but this is primarily why. what you said last? school should not even come close to making anybody feel that way.

just remember that one day school will end. it won’t last forever. no season of life lasts forever, and i know you’re strong enough to get through it. the fact that you opened up about how you’re feeling and what’s happening to you shows that you’re strong enough to get through it.

i have faith in you that you can do your best and take care of yourself, and that’s all you need to do.
