Republicans just gave you; and the people in your state, the right to vote and decide what you all want. It's your choice.
This is my body.
It is soft. It is round. It's shaped me and how I see and think of myself. it is a work of art and can perform miracles, like creating and nurturing new life.
While the ability get pregnant and have a baby is something I look forward to, I am fortunate to live in a place where it can be on my terms, under my control.
Many of my sisters in the United States are losing this fundamental right to decide and control what happens with their bodies, even in cases where becoming pregnant has been forced upon them beyond their will.
It's sad. It's angering. And it's wrong.
A country where half the population does not have the right to decide over their own bodies can never been called "home of the free". Not if you have a uterus anyway.
This is my body. I and I alone should be able to decide what I do with it. Not a religious text. Not an elite bunch of judges. Not a group of politicians.
My body wants to be free. And freedom begins with being able to decide my own destiny.
