As a Game Master I'm always shocked and a little frustrated when my players stick an idea in their heads and refuse to let go of it no matter how much evidence to contrary I put infront of them, but then I remember being a player in a mini campaign and being utterly convinced that this one background npc whose been around the whole game that was revealed to be a vampire was not the big villian vampire we were looking for.
