The found objects
A found object is a natural or man-made object, or fragment of an object, that is found (or sometimes bought) by an artist and kept because of some intrinsic interest the artist sees in it(Tate,2019).

   Salvador Dalí
Lobster Telephone 1936
It is a classic example of surrealist object, which was made by found objects. Dali combined these two object together that doesnt match at all to show the desire in unconscious mind. These two objects had sexual meaning for Dali, so he collaborated them to show erotic pleasure and pain.

Marcel Duchamp
Fountain 1917, replica 1964
Fountain is one of Duchamp’s most famous works and is widely seen as an icon of twentieth-century art. He purchased an industrial object and named it readymade, which was a practical joke. He often said modernity should be something amusing not very serious.
Even though the object is very conventional but presenting it to the exhibition is a big attempt to change the viewpoint. Probably, he wanted to respect the conventional things which was often down looked by other artists saying its conventional.

“MONIKA SOSNOWSKA ‘STAIRWAY’” Monika Sosnowska creates large, site-specific architectural installations which transform the physical space into a mental space that playfully distorts the viewer's perceptions.
“Jessica Stockholder: Stuff Matters “   The American-Canadian artist Jessica Stockholder (60), of whom the Centraal Museum has had two works in the collection since 1992, deepened the table from the depot for her exhibition Stuff Matters . She placed it on a stage made of blue crates between a lime-wood table with marble top from about the same period and a modern bench by the Utrecht artist duo Remy & Veenhuizen. She placed a computer monitor on top of it, on which she applied a lilac diagonal and draped some embroidery thread over it. She closely applied a lick of green and a stain of yellow paint.
These two artists played with space and made sculptural objects, which is why i find them relatable to our Unit 3 project ‘Space’. In this project we are working with a space where we are making accommodation for students, we are making small rooms like boxes stacking them on one top of another which looked packed like the “Stuff Matters”. Jessica Stockholder wanted to show that all the stuffs that we throw away from daily life can be valuable, in the same way we are trying to use every inch we have in that space so that we can make rooms for homeless students as much as possible. As we are piling the boxes on one top of another we are using multiple stairs which relate with ‘Stairway’ of Monika Soskowska which she made to show functionality, in the same way we are making multiple stairs to climb up to the top and making them narrow to save space.

“Asda”  Supermarket Shopping.
Supermarket shopping is an essential part of our daily lives. We need anything, we rush to our nearest supermarket. These supermarkets have everything needs in our daily lives such as, grocery, food, fruits, juices, meat, fish, etc. The interior is done in such a way that anything can be found easily as it has different sections for different typed of stuffs. Other then these, some supermarket provides halal food for muslims which is a big help to them or else they wouldnt be eating meat but only fish. It has two ways for payments, self- service and clerk check out but self check out is domination nowadays. People doesnt have to thing about food getting expired as the owners are very cautious about the expiry dates and have extra employees to change the foods updated regularly. The doors are automated so that people can pass through them without using their hands, as their hands are carrying bags on maximum times.

The Gherkin , otherwise known as 30 St Mary Axe, is one of London’s most iconic skyscrapers. It has been open since 2004. Probably it got this name because of its shape like egg. The remarkable shape of the gherkins always intrigued me to know about it. Also it reminded me of central london, its like a sign of development and the modern life.  The Gherkin is 180 metres (591 foot) tall. The tall height makes it eye-catching, and it works like a direction as from very far it tells us where we are directing towards. It looks outstanding at any time but at night it looks dazzling with the sparks of the city. The design  shows the true features of modern architecture, the materials that used are glass, metal and steel. Moreover, the architect gave functionality more importance as its an office building.

The Magazine Restaurant, London.
This build is beside the Serpentines Gallery. The building is totally a new style in my vision, the exterior seems like a tent covering the building while the interior lets the sun rays seep inside. The building’s interior connects it with nature, the transparency on the edges and the holes from the roof to bottom like soup spoons feels like you are sitting in the middle of garden. Its a calming place with the white background, warm and natural light reminds me of river cruises. The way it is designed i think its a modern building, because of the shapes used, the colour and the use of glass. Moreover, the spoon like holes are functional as it allows light to get in.

Victoria&Albert museum October 2018.
“Memphis design” , this group was created by Italian designers in 1980s. The Memphis was a post-modernists group who challenged the concept of good design by creating ornamental and decorative products. Sideboard Casablanca was designed by the Memphis group, with colourful laminated wood and metal. Geometrical forms were use in an unusual pattern which made it look bold, and the colourfulness makes it playful. The colourful laminated wood reminds me of cheetah print we often see dresses like it and the patterns all over the body looks like facebook emojis.
“Arts and Craft” , A movement in design during the late 19th century promoting handcraftsmanship over industrial mass production. Chair  was a promoter of decorative arts and wanted to remove the division in perception between the fine and decorative arts. The artists who followed art and crats, emphasised simple functional design without the excess ornament and imitation of past typical of Victorian styles. We could say its was a start of modernism.
“Rapid Response”
Burkini 2016, was a swimming costume for muslim women which had a rapid response and got famous really quickly, It is because beofore it was invented, muslim women who cover themselves often could not enjoy swimming in public places because of their costumes. So, this worked like a magic for them which gave them freedom to swim in public places. It was like, they were waiting for something like this.

Oceania Royal Academy of Arts. The artists gave us a glimpse of the remarkable ancient lives of the tribal people.
“Akua Hulu Manu, Feathered god image, Probably KU the god of war”   Hawaiian islands 19th century. It was made Fibre frame, human hair, dog teeth, pearl shell, seeds and feathers. He seems to resist being simply looked at; rather, he is assertive, to the point of demanding something of us. Tribal people called it the god of war and believed being devoted would give them strength.
“Headdress, Roro people yule island, Papua new guinea”                                         Early 20th century. it was made of fibre feather and shells.

“The Shard Designed by Renzo Piano”
It is a very tall building, where you can see the changing skies within its exterior. According to Renzo Piano, he was inspired by the london spires and he loved to see the liveliness of the people that are rushing all over with their daily lives.
What i think its a modern build that reflects onto the modern industrial life of the people of london. its like a symbol of the centre of london, we can see it from very far. the most interesting part i found is it felt like it shows the current situation going on, in the day we can see the changing skies on its body and in the evening its sparkling with the lights its surrounded by. it has a purity withing itself, probably the transparency is the reason and the sharp pointy peak of it makes it very straight forward.
