I put my hands around his torso and I move my fingers on his hard body with slow moves. He moans and that’s turning me on. Our view is Milan Dome and the sun is rising beautifully. I can see some people walking in the morning on the empty streets with a coffee in their hands and very busy with their thoughts. I walk and I sit next to the beautiful boy who’s gazing me since we arrived. “Hi” I feel his hot breath next to my ear and electric lines pass my body. I think my face is red right now. I look around and everyone is talking with someone, no one remark my red face. “Hi.” I really like him and I know him from a long time because I going every week on Élite set to visit Mina. I moved in Spain 5 months ago because I received a better job at an agency in Madrid. My parents agreed but my ex-boyfriend is so pissed on me. He thought that I will be forever with him and we will live in Italy. I take the decision but I wasn’t moved when I found he cheated on me. It was a horrible feeling, after so many years together, he done this thing.

“What are you thinking at?” Arón pinched my arm and I turn around to see everybody looking at me and the waiter waiting for my order. “Sorry, I lost my mind for a minute. Caprese salad and water with lime.” I smiled and the waiter rolled his eyes. “So rude.” I comment and Arón laughs. “Yeah, he is rude. He waited for you.” I smiled innocent and I fix big hand with my eyes. “Answer my question. What is bothering you?” “It’s a good time, we shouldn’t talk about this right now. But we can talk about how beautiful is Spain.” “I think we should talk how gorgeous are you.” He puts his on my leg and I got goosebumps instantly. I blushed and he smiled. He couldn’t say anything cause our food came. But he didn’t take his hand off my leg.

After the lunch it’s time for party and we got back at the house we rented. I went in my room and I put one my new bikini and I went down stairs. I sit next to Arón on the lounge chair by the pool and I started to apply some shimmer oil on my body. The curly boy looks like he is sleeping and I he is wearing sunglasses to protect his eyes from the bright sun. I get up and I test the water from the pool with my tip toes. “Watch out!” I heard a yell behind me and I want to turn around but my body collapsed and something heavy is throwing me and him in the water. I swim to the top and some strong arms caught me and sealed me in a tight hug. “I thought you were sleeping.” He smiled and that cute dimple is everything to melt my heart. “I was observing you. You look delicious.” I want to say something to him too but he seals my mouth with his wet lips. I can taste a cigarette flavor and some mint gum. My hands play with his wet curls and hands are holding my ass. We stopped after a while, breathing heavily and looking in each other eyes. “That was intense.” I said and he smirks. “You didn’t see anything yet. Let’s get out of here.” Arón kissed me again.

We stepped out of the water I know that my life is going to change. I feel his warm lips on my cold skin and I adore the feeling. Arón smirks and I rolled my eyes. “Give me a break.” I said joking and he acts hurt, putting a hand on his chest like I hurt him. “We don’t need food, I have you, you have me. That’s all what we need. No one counts right now.” He smiled and I came closer to give him a kiss. “Pancakes then.” I said and I laugh. “You are like the Ice Queen.” He mumbled and take out a cigarette, putting between his lips. I love to watch him smoking, it’s so hot.

We arriving at the event and we do some photos before going inside. I can see a lot of celebrities and we go to the backstage to get ready. Makeup artists, designers and a lot of people spin around as and we went on separate ways to get dressed. After 2 hours we met in the waiting room, me and him are entering in 3 minutes. “We are looking good as fuck.” I said happy and my eyes are dressing up my boyfriend. He is looking too sexy to be real. Arón winked to me and we take our hands together, walking on podium and smiling to the cameras and the crowd. We posed and going back in the backstage. “Amazing, amazing.” The people in backstage applauded everybody and we get ready for the after party.

We got as a gift our outfits and Arón hold an interview before the after party. At the party a lot of people came to us, changing some words and go. Arón went to the bar to bring some drinks for us and I stayed alone at the table. The chair next to me moved and I look at the person who wants to sit on it. Lorenzo look deeply into my eyes and I look at him surprised.

I’m nervous but not because I’m glad to see him. Yeah, I loved him so much, but right now I don’t know what to feel about him. “We are together.” I respond simple and I look after my boyfriend. I don’t know how he will react. “So, how’s your life in Spain? Arón and Lorenzo know each other from a campaign and now I can see that’s why my ex couldn’t support my actual boyfriend. Respecto a la serie de Luis Miguel hay buenas noticias y es que, oficialmente, está ya en marcha la segunda temporada. Se anunció con este vídeo:

Esperemos que se refiera a que se estrenará a principios de 2021 y no a finales jaja Pero con la cuarentena y el virus y todo, no está nada mal saber al menos que la serie sigue en marcha con su producción.

He encontrado también este vídeo en que Diego Boneta cuenta la anécdota del diente y avanza algunas cositas de la próxima temporada; si tu mamá no lo ha visto enséñaselo porque le parecerá interesante:

Seriales adolescentes ya no veo tantos como antes y menos aún de habla española porque no me suelen gustar. Así que voy a intentar recomendarte algunas cositas que haya visto o que conozca, pero no te puedo asegurar nada  😅

En primer lugar tenemos Élite, muy conocida por ser de Netflix. AQUÍ te dejo la reseña de la primera temporada, aunque actualmente hay tres y se está preparando una cuarta. Tiene muchísimo trasfondo adolescente, con esto quiero decir: drama, drama y más drama de adolescentes jeje Está bastante bien y tiene misterio porque en cada temporada pasa algo interesante: asesinato, desaparición, etc.

También española está Merlí, que puede que esté en Netflix también (eso depende del país en que vivas). El idioma original es catalán pero tiene doblaje a español castellano. No la he visto pero era muy popular aquí en España entre los jóvenes y actualmente hay otra serie que sigue a algunos de los personajes. No sé decirte exactamente de qué trata más allá de que hay un profesor de filosofía y sus alumnos.

Netflix también tiene una serie brasileña MUY interesante, sobretodo en su primera temporada. Se llama 3% y AQUÍ puedes leer lo que escribí en el blog cuando se estrenó la primera temporada. Tiene doblaje a español latino.

Otra serie brasileña en Netflix, y que se ha estrenado hace muy poco, es  Omnisciente, que cuenta también con doblaje español latino. Se ambienta en un futuro en el cual cada ciudadano es monitoreado las 24 horas del día y los 7 días de la semana por un avión no tripulado y una mujer que descubre un asesinato que no registra este sistema de vigilancia.

No se me ocurren muchas otras series que sean actuales y que sean españolas o de latam porque, como digo, no es algo que suela ver. Si tienes Netlix puedes echar un vistazo al catálogo porque da la casualidad de que todas las que te he mencionado están allí y puede que encuentres alguna más.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

Stop closing your eyes, stop scrolling past, stop thinking it’s not your problem. I’m a white person and might be talking especially to white people out there not being enough aware. It’s the time we say stop, and we need to stop standing still, it’s not a “Black People’s problem”, it’s not a problem “out of our community”, it’s humanity and decency and rights to live and BREATHE not in constant fear. We have voices and privilege that somehow makes our voices worthier to whatever else? So we have to use it, to fight RACISM and SYSTEMIC RACISM that’s sitting inside all of us and in our everyday lives. We need to be all on one side, so there won’t be sides anymore.

I’ve been following all the recent news since the George Floyd murder and I’ve found some good stuff to stay informed, understand what’s happening and start do something. I thought about sharing.

Please SIGN all these petitions and help demand JUSTICE for Black People that have been murdered and their names forgotten. All you need is 10 minutes of your time to sign all the petitions on both pages, every petition has a paragraph explaining the history of what happened to that black person and what you’re signing for. We’re also talking about black children murdered, a pregnant black woman beaten causing the loss of her unborn baby.

Internalized homophobia in a sort-of-accepting society VS. Desire to be loud & proud after getting out of a completely unaccepting society: Elite (Season 2)

So, even though I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of the way Elite addressed Ander and Omar’s behavior in Season 2, or rather of the fact that they haven’t addressed it at all, it is there and I want to talk about it. 

First, I want to start with Omar. Because I can relate to him entirely. And even though I’m obviously not claiming that this is a general experience for everyone, who came out of a situation such as ours, I think some other people can also relate.

So, living in a family, where being LGBTQ+ is unacceptable is hard. You face some rampant and sometimes violent homophobia on a daily basis. And I find that if you are sort of locked in that family and don’t really know anyone of other opinions, you can definitely have a very homophobic mindset yourself. However, if you have any outer link that connects you to LGBTQ+ people in some way, your mind starts shifting (for me, that link was the dear old internet, for Omar, it’s Ander, the gay clubs they go to, etc.). And the more positive feelings you connect with being LGBTQ+, the more you start thinking differently and start accepting yourself (in my case, that positivity was pride and support from other LGBTQ+ people on the previously mentioned internet, for Omar, it’s mostly the love he and Ander share and all its implications). In fact, coming back to season 1, I think Omar already had a few outer links that began that shift before Ander - whatever they were, but that’s a discussion for another time. 

Now, the more your mind shifts thanks to that outer link while you’re still in that homophobic family, the angrier you get and the more you want to simply find a way out. And when you finally do, like Omar did in season 2, all you want to be is out, loud and proud. Because after you’ve been living in a hateful environment 24/7 and you’ve been ridiculed and abused daily almost like your family has a “homophobic hate crimes against my child” schedule somewhere, you don’t really care about anyone or anything else. You’re gonna beat me up once because I look too gay? Whatever man, I know you’re not gonna return tomorrow to do it again like I’m used to, so it’s chill. You’re gonna laugh at me? Shout slurs at me? Throw dirty looks? Tell me something new, honestly. That’s literally baby talk. 

All of this is a reason why Omar had a rather drastic (but entirely realistic) shift from wearing plain clothes, being kind of shy and reserved, to dressing up the way he never got to, being more opened and cheerful, etc. Now, let’s talk about why Ander felt the way he did about that shift.

I would - without a shadow of a doubt - say that there is no place on this planet entirely accepting of LGBTQ+ people. Even in the most LGBTQ+ friendly places, there are a couple of homophobes lying around. And I wouldn’t even say Ander lives in a very LGBTQ+ friendly place. Adding up all the people that surround him, as well as the general vibe of his city, I’d say the level of acceptance goes somewhere around: don’t show it off too much and we’re chill with it. 

And that’s the kind of place where internalized homophobia loves to live the most. Why? Because it’s kind of undetectable, especially to the person experiencing it. I mean, Ander is out to his friends and family, he’s in a relationship with another guy and they’re not hiding it. There couldn’t possibly be any internalized homophobia and shame crawling around there… right?

And the thing is, it’s very easy to conform to a society you live in, especially if - for the lack of a better term - it meets you in the middle. An incredibly homophobic society eventually faces resistance because it doesn’t leave you any room to breathe, and people always get tired of suffocating eventually. A society that gives you just enough room to breathe so you wouldn’t suffocate, however, makes you get used to it very quickly, and there you are already - you think everything is fine, you forget how it is to breathe properly, you no longer remember that pleasant feeling of breathing in slow and deep. You think this is ok, this is how it’s supposed to be - you don’t notice anything. That’s exactly what’s happened to Ander.

In season 1, Omar conforms to that society too, but sort of accidentally. He mostly just goes stealth, so his family wouldn’t notice anything, and the “I don’t wanna see the gays running around“ society benefits from it. Ander sort of benefits from it too, in a way that he has a boyfriend that conforms and that doesn’t make them stand out, which is - when you’re used to it - an easy, as well as a safe way to live. 

And the reason why this internalized homophobia is so easy to miss and sweep under the rug is because of what society tells us, too. “They don’t beat you up, do they? They don’t even call you the f-slur! So why are you whining like a baby about a couple of jokes?” It’s that sort of thing. Cishets living without a care in the world at the expense of LGBTQ+ people, while also gaslighting us into thinking that we see homophobia, where there is none, is one of the reasons this is happening. That’s why it’s shocking for Ander that someone would be willing to live a day surrounded by blatant homophobes. If someone will straight up say that being gay is wrong or unnatural, Ander will be the first one to fight. But that’s why it’s also so shocking for him to see that Halloween costume. “What are you doing, dude? We’ve been living by their rules and it’s been great - we don’t have to hide, we can be together and no one bothers us. You keep doing this, and you’re gonna become “one of those gays”. And I’m going to be guilty by association”. What Ander doesn’t yet realize is there’s no “those gays” - there’s just us, together. And all those people around him he tries to conform to? They’re just doing it for their own comfort. And the reason why they like “the quiet gays” isn’t because there are “these” and “those” gays - it’s because they can easily ignore “the quiet gays” being gay in the first place. As long as you don’t remind them of “your ways” - they’re fine. But the second they have to actually face the fact that gay people are somewhere around them, they flip their fucking shit. They fucking hate it.

This is not to say that Omar is in any way at fault here - no. As I said, I relate to him completely and I’m happy he can finally do exactly what he wants to. However, I’m also of an opinion that Ander shouldn’t be the one to blame either. Society forced him to be the way that he is, and he has to make a decision to fight society every single day in order to live free and stop conforming. And that’s fucking bullshit, you know? We don’t deserve to constantly live on a battlefield just because we aren’t hiding the part of ourselves that is uncomfortable and/or disgusting to homophobes. 

So the thing about Season 2 of Elite is that it shows two different experiences and how they clash with each other. How they can ruin things. How they are unfair. And I do believe it could’ve been handled far better, however it’s definitely something we need to understand and think about more. These places are so often praised for being opened and inclusive, because on the surface they have gay marriage, one pride flag per city, and less violent hate crimes than most, while they are actually a breeding ground for internalized homophobia. And we need to hold the people responsible for the way thousands of Anders are feeling accountable. It holds a lot of us back from being ourselves. From breathing freely. And I think that really fucking sucks.
