Connor has no concept of privacy because he never had one. Everything he has ever seen or done have been viewed and judged by at least one more entity, in a sense his thoughts and feelings also have always been subjected to a similar evaluation because he've always been reporting them just as any other details of the investigation process. It's his version of normal – to never ever be truly alone.

I suppose other androids don't know about Connor having some forensics lab in his mouth and will have a similarly shocked reaction if they were to see him using it.

Markus, Connor and Hank looking around some room, at some point Connor crouches down next to a puddle of presumably blood.

From the corner of his eye Markus notices him looking at the sample of blood on his fingers and turnes around just in time to see him putting it in his mouth.
