What we learned
Throughout this research project, our group has learned that the leader has specific duties of an organization. Not only does the leader have to focus on themselves and their work, but they have to focus on the employees and the work that they are set to complete. The leader has a major impact on everyone within the organization. They are there to give ideas, motivate, and encourage others to do their best to ensure that the best work is given out. The leadership that the company has determines whether or not the company will be successful. Maintaining relationships with everyone in the company is a major component because they are constantly working with others to complete assignments and new ideas. This assignment has informed our understanding of leadership styles because a company depends on certain styles. This means that everyone in a company has to adjust to the styles that are given to them. Leadership is extremely important to any business or organization.

Frank Wells
Frank Wells was known as the President of The Walt Disney Company from the end of 1984 to his death at the beginning of 1994. Before joining The Walt Disney Company, Wells had many accomplishments in his education as well as his work. He attended colleges and advanced in his professions and this led him to taking off in his career. Wells took on the pressure of expanding the company when he took the job. When he took the job, he decided to enlarge many aspects of the company. These aspects include the theme parks that were created, real estate, financial status, sponsorships, and many other things as the list goes on and on. Frank Wells had a business partner, Micahel Eisner. These two were known together for their duo dynamic leadership. These two had a partnership that was inseparable. Their partnership was fast paced, but produced many wonderful things for The Walt Disney Company. These two sparked the profit for the company with their excellent skills and styles of leadership. Frank Wells was seen as an open minded leader who was focused on expanding the company not only in the presence, but in the aspect of stores and internationally. His leadership style was seen as very detailed and put together. Wells' style was also organized as well as the companies. Another seen factor of his leadership was the cooperativeness that he had with everyone which included his partner and the others he was surrounded by. The business man in Wells focused on the business part including the investments. You could say that this is where his organization came in due to the large impact that investing has on companies. There were things that Wells created that took off quickly. This made the company even bigger and more well known. Not only did Wells manage his part of the company, he was also an adventurer. He spent time traveling and doing the things he loved. Wells suddenly died in a helicopter crash in 1994. This is where his legacy ended. His legacy will be carried on and is still is as there was a building named after him following his death. In his somewhat short time of focusing on the company, he completed more than many. His presence is still carried today due to the impact that he has had on The Walt Disney Company. The Walt Disney Company left many thank yous and well wishes after his passing.

Walter E. Disney
After researching Walter E. Disney, it is clear that he studied the people he was entertaining. Walter worked to be more informed on peoples soft skills because that is what he wanted to enhance with the establishment of his company. Most of his work shows that he looked deeper into people and discovered how to motivate them. Not only did his work motivate his viewers, but it also inspired them. To conquer this section of his company he had to learn and improve his emotional intelligence and communication skills. Walter E. Disney is still to this day known as one of the best leaders in the sense that he set the example for future leaders. This gave Disney the advantage to the insight of viewers and the people who helped him produce his films. Everyone that was involved in the making and development of the Walt Disney Company adapted to Disney’s new skills. This benefited the company in many ways that are still used today. The company continues to grow and develop in many different ways due to the motivation that his skills offered people. His leadership behavior styles are known to be communal and utopian. This meant that the company was shared with all the members to use and it was idealistic and perfect to them. After the company began to grow, the company had to adjust to the new setting and environment. This also meant that Walter was getting older and his leadership changed. After this point, Walter decided to step back a bit and had other leaders step in to help. Walter was still able to make changes and input whenever he decided, but he was not exactly in charge of it. He guided and supported the ones that made the decisions and he went from place to place dispersing the information and guidance that was needed. Some would say that Walter’s leadership was hard to understand. This was due to the different ideas and consistent change that the company endured. Many would say that depending on the situation, Walter’s leadership style would change according to his surroundings at the time. With the large growth of the company, this was to be expected. Especially with the stress and age that Walter was working and the amount of time that he dedicated to his company. As a conclusion, we can firmly state that Walter E. Disney had many different leadership styles and developed many different leadership skills through his years of evolving his company.

Roy O. Disney
Roy O. Disney, the older brother of Walt Disney, played a pivotal role in the success and financial stability of Disney. While Walt was the creative visionary, Roy was the pragmatic and business-minded force behind the scenes. Despite not being officially credited as a co-producer, Roy was an equal partner in establishing the Disney company, contributing significantly to its foundation and early development. He assumed the role of the company's first CEO, steering its financial affairs and ensuring its stability, even though he didn't formally receive the title until 1968. Roy's strategic financial decisions and leadership were crucial to the company's survival and growth. Following Walt Disney's passing, Roy took on the responsibility of overseeing the completion of Walt Disney World, a theme park project in Florida that Walt had envisioned.
In a touching tribute to his brother, Roy decided to rename the park "Walt Disney World" in honor of the visionary founder. Roy O. Disney showed strong leadership beyond just money matters, making a big impact on Walt Disney Productions' success. He was good at using simple and clear language for effective communication. Roy also had a skill for picking good names for different parts of the company. But what stood out the most was his commitment to the name "Walt Disney." He believed this name was known and respected everywhere, so he made sure to keep it important. This commitment showed a deep respect for his brother's ideas. In short, Roy's leadership included clear communication, smart branding, and a strong commitment to keeping Walt Disney's name, all of which helped the Disney brand succeed worldwide. This decision reflected Roy's deep commitment to preserving and continuing his brother's legacy. Roy's enduring impact on the financial and operational aspects of Disney, as well as his dedication to fulfilling Walt's dreams, solidified his crucial role in the history and success of the iconic entertainment company. In conclusion, Roy O. Disney played a big role in making Disney successful. Even though he wasn't officially called a co-producer, he was just as important as Walt in starting the company. He became the first CEO, making smart money decisions that helped Disney grow. After Walt passed away, Roy made sure to finish Walt Disney World in Florida and even named it after his brother. Roy's leadership was about talking clearly, choosing good names, and keeping Walt's name important. His impact on Disney's money and how it runs, along with his commitment to Walt's dreams, makes Roy a crucial part of Disney's history and success.

Walt Disney Company
The Walt Disney Company is known as an entertainment and media group that has many different entities. This company was founded by brothers, Walter and Roy Disney on October 16th, 1923 in Los Angeles, California. These two brothers were influenced to create this company because at the time, advertisements seemed to be boring. This led Walter to start creating his own films that seemed to be more engaging. From there on this idea and motive started rising. After creating films, Walter began selling his films to others to enjoy and market. Walter then proceeded to make fully animated films that caught the attention of many. Shortly after, Mickey Mouse was created. However, Mickey Mouse was not the first name, and there were many different names and looks of Mickey at the time. The well known Mickey Mouse was first released in 1928. Mickey Mouse is what made Disney create just a well known market. With future advancements in technology and the learning process, Mickey Mouse was improving from there. During this time, many of the famous Disney shows and movies were created. These television shows are still watched today. The company and shows continued to grow and succeed. The company grew so big that in 1955, Walter built an amusement park that represented all of his films and creations. This park was and still is called Disneyland. Disneyland is located in Anaheim, California. That amusement park took off and led to the creation of Disney World. Disney World was built in 1971. Disney World is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Walter E. Disney passed away on December 15, 1966 due to complications from cancer. Following Walter’s death, Roy O. Disney sadly passed away on December 20, 1971. The company and their work continues to grow and succeed to this day.
