If I had to pick a favourite Alastor scene (and believe me, there are a lot!), it would be this scene that happens while Charlie is singing More Than Anything.

It's only a scene where he's just smiling, but it's the way he smiles (and the reason he does so) that makes this scene so special to me. It's not the usual smile that he uses to conceal his true intentions or to express sadistic glee toward his foes. He's smiling because he genuinely cares about Charlie and her goals and he's happy to support her.

We fixate so much on all the brutality and power that he demonstrates time and time again that we tend to forget that he is not unable or unwilling to have feelings toward others.

And just when I thought I couldn't love this character anymore.

Okay people have been talking about this but I wanna talk about it too because my heart is in a vice grip over it

The fact that Lucifer looks so vacant when the angels’ spears are on him. He looks so…dead and accepting. Like he doesn’t care what they do to him.

But then when the spears suddenly turn to Charlie…

He is horrified. He is so so scared of losing her, of anything bad or even lethal happening to her. He looks like he’s looking upon his worst nightmare seeing heaven threaten his little girl

(In other words, eat it Lute, he does care.)

I haven’t seen anybody talk about this yet, but I love how Charlie and Vaggie kinda echo Lucifer and Lilith. Not just with the crazy one x calm one pattern that Viv is fond of with her ships. But just like Lucifer Vaggie fell from heaven. Just like Lilith Vaggie made a choice that cost her all she ever knew. And just like Lucifer Charlie found this poor lost soul and helped her; couldn’t resist being drawn to her by some unknown force. And just like Lilith Charlie also is the one doing everything she can to help people.
