02. On Chongyun

She won’t really admit it but she likes that he calls her ‘auntie’. They don’t often see each other, rarer than once a year although she did ask the traveller to help her get the young man’s birthday and address. Therefore, every year, on Chongyun’s birthday, she sends him a little present. She orders mint jelly to be delivered to the young exorcist and often send him a letter with a few tips on how to improve his skills. She’s heard from the traveller that Chongyun uses these tips and learns from them, however she doesn’t know if he realises where they come from. It doesn’t matter, she knows her curse is strong enough not to allow her to really bond with him and so she simply watches him from afar trying to do as much as possible to help him be the best version of himself.

Also, she did request for Dr Baizhu to research Chongyun’s condition and find a more long-term solution to it. There are still no results but she believes in the doctor’s skills.

02. On bullying

She explicitly hates bullying. Whether it’s in jest or not, she finds it to be disgusting and infuriating. Red ropes barely contain her when she faces it and since she’s not too good on reading social cues it is very hard for her to differentiate between what is a joking interacting and actual abuse sometimes, making her often overreact in places where she did not need to. Still, she doesn’t feel that it’s bad, nor does she care if people find this as an excuse to call her a witch. In her mind, it is much better to be a ‘witch’ that has no sense of humour than to let slip someone hurting another. She doesn’t explain herself to others though and simply ignores the stares she gets when she comes to certain districts of Liyue. In general, she tries to keep away from the city so it’s not a big problem for her.

01. On friendship

She’s always struggling with trusting people who claim they want to be her friends. She’s learnt that it’s often superficial and not many have the patience that is needed to be able to deal with all the intense emotions and the curse of calamity that boils within her core.

She would love to have the freedom not to think about things like that.
