Far from being an asshole, I think this is the bear minimum any self-respecting Gael can perform (not to disparage the original-poster, mind). The way I see it, the Irish State should remove all English-language signage in the country, abolish English-language education save only the class which teaches the English-language as its singular purpose (the economy still needs to function), severely restrict English-language public-broadcasting, and execute an ad-campaign to subtly mould the culture such that obligate Anglophones are socially ostracised into learning Gaeillic. That seems the only way to undo the damage of the Saxon devils.
